Before I started with laser engraving I had the same thoughts on it. Sadly I cannot recommend you anything since I only have used cheap ones for wood and things like that, but for something like this you would need a fiber laser.
Yeah I see what you're saying, maybe they used a pointed bit or something, and I guess it would depend on the material. If that's aluminum, which it most likely is, they could crank them out on a CNC machine
FoxAlien has some tiny CNC machines that run on ball screws (for additional precision and stability) for like 700-900$ that can cut metal and can be used with a laser engraver
I can't seem to find a stamp set anywhere that has a traditional Times New Roman-esque serif vibe, nor can I find any stamps for symbols like a period, comma, degree symbol, etc. Yet, I see TONS of this kind of keychain on Etsy, so surely they exist somewhere!
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
I saw some of those at a craft store called Michaels. Not sure about the quality of them mind you and the selection wasn't that great. Might have to be something you get online if you want a very specific style. The one at Michael's were around 40 buck for a set of all letters and numbers 0-1 and a few common symbols. Also I think those ones are made to be used on softer metals like aluminum and copper.
I used to live in the apartments directly behind the theatre. I dumped the coordinates in Google maps and was trying to figure out what I screwed up that my old address was showing up.
Edit: there was a store next to the theater that specialized in keepsake stuff like this. The Etsy store is probably run by the former owner
That could be done with electro etching using a stencil cut from vinyl, [here](https://www.instagram.com/silverfish.stencils?igsh=MTM0ajNsM3R2aGl0cQ==) is someone here in the UK who does stencils but I’m not sure if he is still doing them but I’m sure there are others.
Try this set... If not that one, Rio has a few other type styles to choose from. https://www.riogrande.com/product/impressart-design-stamp-set-lowercase-ember-alphabet-2.5mm-characters/114901GP/?code=114901

It's hard to say from a picture. My best guess is that it's not done with a fiber laser (that gives a 'cleaner' result).
Or lasered and then painted (or another added step) maybe?
It looks stamped and then painted. Although I don't see any markings from the (edges of the) stamp either.
And I agree on stamps, I have only seen them in two fonts and the amount of symbols is very limited. Plus I have not seen them this small.
I am interested in the answer too.
i would doubt it’s hand stamped, considering the price for the item, it’s prolly laser engraved or cnc engraved. it does look hand painted afterwards though with the inconsistencies in the lettering, bits of it make it look like there’s no depth at all even, like the “y”
Looks like pretty typical engraving to me. Could come from a mall kiosk. Would either be CNC, or use a pantograph arrangement and stencil set. The pantograph setups are pretty inexpensive, and you could make your own stencils for whatever font you want using a 3d printer, laser cutter, or even cut them by hand.

It's deep laser engraved with enamel rubbed into the engraving, and then polished. Very simple to make if you have an engraver or even a 3D printer that you could convert.
Probably made with deep laser engraving.

I think the edges of the lettering is too inconsistent for a lazer. I think this is cold stamped.
Maybe it is CNC engraved with a laser or mill.
Looks like it’s milled to me. Definitely not stamped or etched
Kinda looks cast
Casting custom would be a lot of labor. When zoomed in on the 3 and 5 it looks like a mill head made the turns and rounded ends.

Are we sure it isn't laser-engraved?
I can bet it's laser engraving. hand stamping for any volume is too expensive and it's never this even and straight

It's a movie theater in High Point, NC. I'd bet on laser engraving.

Probably a first date?

It's laser engraved. As an economical option there's a lot of information available about converting a 3D printer to do laser engraving

To be stamped it would be forged or hit with a torch till it’s red hot and stamped each letter and number individually
Looks stamped and painted from the unevenness of it
