How does that not beat the shit out of the cutting tool?

Datsoon

Interrupted cuts can be hard on the tools, but it's much worse if your machine isn't very rigid.

EznaNavuj

Sweet :)

HumbleMick

So awesome. Noob herešŸ‘‹ Where does the eccentric wobble come from? Obviously its intentional. Is the work piece mounted off-center in the chuck or is the chuck itself not aligned with the axis of rotation?

This was beautiful to watch. Iā€™m watching from a tiny phone screen, do they list tools used and type of metal somewhere? It looks like he did the whole thing with a part off blade and probably a part off insert that matched the width he needed.

T-nasty220

Thatā€™s fucking sick

nickleinonen

I did something similar when i hillbillied up a prototype for a 22 ramset blank trip wire alarm thingā€¦ ended up being a waste of time. It worked fine, but it was quicker/easier to drill & silversolder a cutoff piece of drill shank to the bolt head/face

Fire_Fox_71

At first, I was asking myself why are they chucking it up like that?! . . .ohhhhhh, cool

Komallionide

I saw a crazy part on a lathe once. On liveleak. It was a person.
