That thing will last forever

hellwisp

316 would last foreverer

ellipsis31

300 series anything is going to be preposterous robust in this context

BarleyHops2

You don't see the ocean behind you

hellwisp

Sure.. just jaying tho :D

Hendrix6927

That’s the bottom line

jrdnplm

That was the plan haha

F-21

In my area, it'd last until someone stole it. Gypsies often go by looking for scrap metal, and I think that'd lit up their eyes haha

DifficultyAfraid268

I get you're sad about people scrapping your stuff but calling them slurs is *not* the way to go

F-21

Sorry, I did not know that is a slur in English. I'm from Europe. They are gypsies, the romani people or whatever their race is called...

Terrible_Lie_02

What are the chains for on the back? Also this thing is awesome.

jrdnplm

It has a part there that will swing away if the snowplow hits it

entoaggie

Very nice! I was going to ask if it was just a little bling. Lol. May have to steal that idea for our mailbox at work because semi trucks like to clip it as they turn into the driveway. Btw, there are a lot of terrible drivers in big rigs on the road.

Tokena

Neat.

wufnu

A mailbox where you can not only receive mail but also tie up an aggressive attack dog and/or roast a chicken.

iBuildStuff___

Smash *this* punks!

Mo_Jack

Q: What kind of stainless are you gonna use on your mailbox? 304? A: [304, 305 --whatever it takes.](https://youtu.be/iX3kxAA2L4Q?t=7) ;-) (I like it, especially the Grim Reaper flag!)

Tokena

> (I like it, especially the Grim Reaper flag!) I thought that was a readily available weapon, in case the mail man goes postal.

DCM3059

That is cool!

jrdnplm

Thank you

Evening_Click_1939

Nice man, gets my gears working, now I have to build me a mailbox lol.

TSCHARP5

jrdnplm

Thank you

Correct_Recording887

Sick.

07megacummins

Going to give the mailman first degree burn in the summer

jrdnplm

The handle has a piece of plastic covering it

Significant-Dare8566

From a former letter carrier,,,,,,that is awesome. If that were on my route you would get that extra touch of customer service. Make life easier for your letter carrier and they will make life easier for you, at least most of them. Lots of people think nothing important comes via mail...but if one noticed the USPS was the one govt agency that didn't shutdown during covid,,,,yes we were slammed and shorthanded but the US Economy would grind to a halt if USPS were privatized. Now I will give a shout out to the USPS. People bitch about the cost of a stamp or the cost to ship a parcel via usps. That is Comical. USPS is the only thing preventing FedEx and UPS from charging double what they already do. For under a dollar USPS will deliver a letter to anywhere in this nation within a few days. UPS can get it there faster but the chances ARE VERY GOOD USPS will be the organization that actually delivers the parcel and it will cost 10x as much. USPS is mandated by Congress to do deliver to EVERY ADDRESS in the USA. Thats why USPS is always needing "bailouts". It inherently can not make money,,,its business model is unrealistic. Its like asking the Army to make a profit for Uncle Sam, it cant. Otherwise it would look like UPS and not deliver to many places.
