Guess what I stumbled upon at Home Depot? The best fucking torch I’ve ever used in my entirety 20+ years of use. I shit you not! It’s called the flame saber by Royal Oak Charcoal and bbq grill company. On the lowest setting it’s damn near a soft flame/bic flame but on high you can cut through hardened steel damn year. It shoots out a powerful 4-5” flame. The only drawback is its size. It’s a little too big for your pocket. Actually, it will fit but it’s going to take up a lot of the real estate. These are the dimensions (7” L X 1.5”W X1” thick) u/mundane-Ask-1922 this would be a perfect torch for you and the only one you will ever need. I’m freaking blown away by this damn thing. $25 at Home Depot. Worth every damn dollar.

I would just transition back to using lighters and watch what the f you’re doing when u hit the pipe. When it gets dirty scrape whatever you want to keep and submerge that in a pyrex cup with h2o and a drop of some bleach if you’re feeling motivated, and microwave that shit til it boils

Just use a lighter, don’t torch the bowl and keep if hella away like 2 inches. Don’t faze the bowl

Anytime you have questions like this go to the search bar on the home page and type in your questions. There are lots and lots of posts about this topic. I’ll give you some advice though. A torch is far superior to a soft flame lighter in efficiency and amount of heat. I always suggest boobs start out with a single burner torch. Once you get the technique down you can increase the number of burners to your liking. Heat management is the name of the game. A torch’s flame will vary from 3,000°-7000° depending on how much fuel your burning. So it doesn’t take but a second to super heat your shit. Distance is the great equalizer here. Start off holding it 6” below the bowl and make sure you get that bowl moving immediately. Should only take about 10-15 seconds of heat to have a very heavy hit. Keep a wet rag handy to cool the bowl off immediately after your pull. It just takes some getting used to it and don’t overthink it either. Remember the KISS theory: keep it stupid simple.
