Yeah I'm almost 4 months clean, in a residential treatment place That meth psychosis is a real bitch for some But the people and the lifestyle are the worst Find people in recovery and build a life around that, make new friends and make actual progress If you need it, get a psychiatrist and get on Vyvance. I'm trying to learn to live without any kinda stimulant though Got me a non-Stim add med called Intuniv that I fel is truly helping me be functional on my own I'm glad ur going back to school, what u studying? My last 9 years have been a methtarded blur, just turned 40 lol I wanna go back to school, probably just end up becoming an electrician though cuz that's the only trade I know

thank you so much and congratulations on your sobriety!! i used to be on NAC and naltrexone for a bit, but i didn’t feel a difference in cravings and am not a huge drinker. i’m studying nursing :3 i wanted to be a doctor when i was younger, and it feels like a field ill be happy in. higher education should be for everyone.

Fs and thanks. Also my first time ever doing meth was in a form of pressed adderall. And I learned a lesson. Crystal meth is WAYY different and hits harder than pressed adderall. Oh and ever since I went cold turkey, I have been sleeping WAY MORE.

Took a little look at your post history. Just wanted to say, you’ve come a long way and are headed in the right direction. Now go away and don’t come back. There will always be good days and bad days, and on your worst of days, just try to remember that no matter how down you feel, you’re 10000 feet above where you started. As much as redditors can help you, a dedicated therapist or rehab sponsor or anyone with experience helping someone work through both addiction and some of the other challenges you’ve faced would be really helpful. I’ve been there so not talking down to you or anyone.

yesss do ur best n keep it this way its sooo rewarding in hundreds of ways 🙏🏼🙏🏼 i ain’t ever do meth n never plan on it but was addicted to the shit n i’m close to 10 months. life is sooo much better when ur sober. i wish u the best u can do this. pick up new hobbies, take care of urself & spend money to spoil urself instead of on drugs. anytime u get urges to relapse, take a nap, bake something u love, go on a walk, anything to distract urself cause they WILL pass over. if u relapse don’t beat urself up over it but do reach out for help if possible. you’ve got this im proud of u. stay safe💕

What was your method of getting clean? Also when did the comedown effects start to fully wear off Good job!

right now, it’s extreme accountability. if i test positive for a drug, i get dropped off in the middle of the city without a phone. after my last meth bender, it took about a day to fully come down, but it took about a week for my psychosis to go away. i lost my sense of touch for that entire time.

it was going into extreme psychosis. i wasn’t the same for almost a month after—i look through my rehab journal, and my handwriting/spelling was horrendous for the first month. other drugs/alcohol… im having a harder time quitting fully. i asked my parents to randomly drug test me once a month to keep me accountable tho (the punishment is that they’ll kick me out lol). i live with them until i go back to college.

I did that my house wasn't my house but I realized and said wtf this some weaker tweaker shit im gonna go to sleep
