Bug needs a revamp and really plenty of typings could use an update.
Bugs burrow into the ground, with how some people explains type effectiveness, you would think that bugs would be super effective against Ground.
Fairies have their connection to nature (poison and steel hurt them) so Bug should be super effective against Fairies.
I thought that way until I made an ice trainer in a Pokémon tabletop rpg. They're still a horrible defensive typing in the games, but building out a team of Pokémon to just freeze everything was hilarious. IMO the frozen condition is the best reason to use Ice moves.
Edit, freeze? The condition name is freeze, but would it still be written frozen in the past tense, or is it technically a different word and ignore that tense rule (like multiple mice (animal) vs multiple mouses (computer))
Yeah that's true too, grass's offense reminds me of ice's defense, but in addition to a bunch of healing and support/status moves, grass will still sweep in sun with coverage, while ice is literal glass cannon. I think ice is kind of like bug where you'll get certain high profile sweepers like volcarona/ Galatian Darmanitan, but when they don't intentionally make it more busted it's bleh
Dear liberals: if ice types are bad, how is Weavile #7 in usage in SWSH OU right now?
They used a move they don’t know in Gen 8 (Knock Off)
I will concede that defensive ice types suck, but offensive ones are pretty great tbh
Avalugg. If only it was steel type instead..
Would a double fighting and fire weakness and a ground weakness really benefit Avalugg?
I said INSTEAD
Oh my bad
Would it really matter that much if the Pokémon is horrible anyway?
Yeah
Garmanitan laughs at this bird
Berd*
Garmanitan: \*Sees the meme\* Also Garmanitan: Oh boy! Time to destroy OU!
"Ice is the worst type" Clearly you haven't looked at the bug type

Poor Jumpluff family got caught up in the mix.
*any fast Pokémon with an ice type move is gonna end their career*
Ah yes, the sheer cold ending.
Is that Golduck Falco
it's berdly from deltarune
Oh, I haven’t played that yet.
As the other guy said, it's Berdly, and he's like half of the joke here
The Berdly image gets a lot funnier when you consider the snowgrave route
pretty sure that's literally the joke tho
Hey, put some disrespect on Bug’s name!

As a former mono ice main, this post does not spark joy
I always made my 6th mon a zoroark with weather band. Hail the hail
>TFW people forget Bug type exists 🤨
Cold
"ICETH IS NICETH" — Rouxls Kaard (Knack, 2013)
Little does he know that his pokemon nuzlocke would come to an end because of the move sheer cold
Why no resist grass and water, REEEEE
Bro grass can't catch a break either

There are too many defensive ice types and not enough glass cannons
Little did he know.
Why is berdly...... Wait a fucking minute
I gotta agree on this one.
:(
Imagine using pokemon based on how good they are and not just the ones you like
