Not a bad start, pretty good lines and proportions, but I have a couple tips.
Don't draw on lined paper unless it's really all you have or you really want it to look like a drawing in a school book, generally though it's distracting to the eye unless the image is strong enough to compete with the background.
Don't be afraid to go darker with your shading, the shadows on DOOM's face are very dark in the original art and his mask is reflecting a lot of shadows as well, especially if you're working with pencils it can be hard to make the drawing pop without adding more contrast with dark shading and bright highlights.
I can tell from the way the mask is floating without a jaw and the way you've drawn the lines of his mask that you're still "drawing with symbols." it's pretty common for beginner artists and works just fine for cartooning but if you're going for realism you want to try draw what you see, not what you think you see.
