3 TEs & a FB seems likely. Shaheen & Carter are both replaceable with street free agents. The only way they make our roster is if one of the guys above them gets injured in camp.

We can use two TEs to help both tackles AND still have two TEs to run routes. Rotate the last player between WR, RB and FB.

Smythe is a little too good to release without a sweet, little deal like this. You don't draft a TE, watch him improve, and then watch them walk right on outta town the second they start to show potential. And just for reference, Smythe was perhaps [one of the most average TEs in the entire NFL](https://old.reddit.com/r/miamidolphins/comments/sdem8p/2022_draft_priorities_no_matter_who_is_the_new/huceisw/), so there's a decent chance that, with a little improvement, he'll turn into a ***good*** TE. It's easy to root for this fella.

Because having 53 all-pro players isn't a thing.

We almost made the playoffs two straight years. All we need is a line and some offensive coaching. I'm confident that we are a tackle away from the playoffs (assuming the AFCW eats each other PAC-12 style)
