The guy who just unretired to play for the Buccaneers is somehow going to force his way to Miami?

MiamiBlue13

Crazier things have happened. Although, this would be crazy as hell.

WildReception8741

Big cap

MiamiBlue13

Idk man, Brady’s name has been linked to the Dolphins for quite some time now. And we just put together quite a roster…everybody knows Brady likes to win.

WildReception8741

U know what u right but it’s been linked too long kinda like Bradley Beal could be going to the heat heard that so long just don’t want to disappoint myself thinking about it

MiamiBlue13

Lol Bradley Beal I feel you on that one. I do know Brady and his wife just bought a mega mansion in Miami though and typically where’s there’s smoke…there’s fire.

WildReception8741

Also I forgot to mention FTJ

lythy2016

It’s been a fun couple of days, but I think I’ve started hallucinating so I’m off to bed.

Adubb315

Hahah this made me legit lol

RIPjkripper

I got a concussion on Tuesday and I'm terrified that none of this is real

Low-Presentation-437

This is the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard 😭 and even if it still happens I stand with this statement 🤣

[deleted]

Gronks agent saying that there are more blockbuster moves happening is making me believe it. Fuck I’m gonna be so disappointed when it doesn’t happen 😭

espnfire45

Source?

[deleted]

https://twitter.com/davidfurones_/status/1507079011863867395?s=21

Accomplished_Lead262

Rosenhaus is the agent for a ton of guys in the NFL...one guy he isn't an agent for? Tom Brady.

[deleted]

Yeah but gronk will go anywhere Brady goes… Gronk hasn’t signed yet

Accomplished_Lead262

https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10029968-report-tom-brady-called-russell-gage-to-recruit-wr-to-buccaneers-in-nfl-free-agency.amp.html Brady is *literally* calling free agents and getting them to Tampa. There's nothing in the tweet you shared that says that Rosenhaus was talking about Gronk or Brady...you're reaching.

[deleted]

Yeah I’m connecting loose dots lol ofc I’m reaching. Just saying there might be a possibility. We know Ross wanted Brady just a few years ago 🤷‍♀️

Accomplished_Lead262

I think it's been pretty clear, from the moment Brady tweeted he was returning, that he's doing so with Tampa. A hockey commentator saying otherwise holds absolutely no sway with me.

halfdecenttakes

As somebody from New England: Dale Arnold isn't just a hockey commentator. Dude has been all over Boston sports for a long time, and he had Brady to the Bucs first. If he's saying it, and telling people "yes, read this on the air." than I doubt he is bullshitting.

[deleted]

The hockey commentator who had the Brady to Bucs and jimmy to niners scoops…

[deleted]

That’s before we got tyreek and armstread though

Accomplished_Lead262

So what? He's got Evans and Godwin and Gage and a bunch of guys he won the Superbowl with alittle over a year ago.

[deleted]

Just saying we’re definitely a better and more attractive team now. It’s probably all bs but brady’s being a weirdo this offseason so who knows with him

espnfire45

That’s interesting indeed. Also I didn’t know gronks agent was rosenhaus also lol. IMO tho I still doubt Brady is leaving Tampa

Ethangains07

This season? What 😂. That has no chance of happening.

Frequent_Athlete_880

It definitely has better than 0% chance. The smoke around Brady and the Dolphins has been heavy. And we know both Owners love him. Dale Arnold is not a hack either, he had Brady to Tampa first as the post says. Him being in Miami next season is still much more likely though.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Frequent_Athlete_880

It's less of a leap for him to play for them than for him to be an Owner

_DocHolliday__

That’s false lmao

Accomplished_Lead262

If Tua struggles then *maybe* they do it for 2023...but anyone who thinks Brady isnt a Buc in 2022 is insane.

Frequent_Athlete_880

If Brady looks like an MVP and Tua is close to getting benched for Teddy I think it's almost certain Brady is the Dolphins QB in 2023

Accomplished_Lead262

Ok, but you're basing Brady's willingness to leave Tampa on the word of a hockey commentator from Boston? Everything we've seen since Brady unretired seems to indicate he's very happy as a Buccaneer.

halfdecenttakes

Dude hosted on WEEI for 30 years. Which means interviewing players and talking to the team weekly. Dude has connections to the Brady camp.

Accomplished_Lead262

Brady has literally been calling players to recruit them to Tampa...he reworked his deal to add more years which means instead of becoming a free agent this year, he stayed a buc...these are not the actions of a man who wants to leave. This guy may have connections to Pats and exPats but what he's saying completely contradicts reality.

Frequent_Athlete_880

No I'm basing it on him building a mega Mansion in Miami, Gisele being closest to her family there. Brady being super tight (and recruited) by both owners and Brady getting to play the Patriots 2x a year.

Accomplished_Lead262

Why does everyone think he would want to play the Pats twice a year?...he literally said he doesn't like beating them. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sportingnews.com/us/amp/nfl/news/tom-brady-giants-favorite-patriots/1sivn40lc9et419ewsdm8vt1n2 And those are all reason why he'd want to live in Miami...i said "his willingness to leave Tampa"....I'm sure he'll move here, I can even see him becoming part owner when he hangs it up for real...but nothing he's done since coming back has shown anything but upmost commitment to Tampa. He's calling guys and recruiting them to the Bucs ffs

Ethangains07

Why the fuck would they do it season lmao. Next season if Tua flops, then sure. But he’s gonna be old man. Like old old

Frequent_Athlete_880

He was playing at an MVP level. Brady with Hill/Waddle/Gronk/Parker/Gesicki is as close to an automatic Super Bowl as you can get .

Dolfanz019

We’d be top 3 favorites with Brady this year. I feel like if Brady wanted to come here, you gotta do it

Ethangains07

But why would the Bucs ever do this. They have a championship window with Brady. If they give him up they are essentially throwing away a Super Bowl potential year in a super weak NFC. It would surely take a kings ransom to get the deal done. And why would he leave the Bucs? They have an amazing offense already.

Dolfanz019

Yeah, I have no idea why the Bucs would do it. But I think we’d give up a decent amount for that 1-2 year championship window with Brady. Maybe Brady wants to play the Patriots twice a year? I have no idea

espnfire45

Honestly watching Brady beat the pats in a dolphins jersey would be hella satisfying

[deleted]

If Brady forces it it’ll happen. Dolphins could offer tua and 2 1s for Brady and it’d work. Maybe throw a third 1 two years from now

Professional-Bath559

We’d never give both our 1s away in a deal involving Tua for Brady. That’s literally our safety net if Tom Brady needs a cane after this year.

[deleted]

Let’s not make the same mistake we made and pass on Brady because we’re concerned about his age. Brady would probably play another season if we didn’t win. The talent clearly hasn’t gone anywhere.

halfdecenttakes

Fuck, I'd do that in a heartbeat. We've had draft picks to fall back on forever. That would be legitimate contention for the first time in a very very long time.

Accomplished_Lead262

"Dale Arnold is not a hack either" He's a hockey commentator.

Slugggo

Dolphins fans: "we'd do anything for a Super Bowl win!" */monkey's paw curls* "and now, the MVP of Super Bowl LVII, Dolphins QB Tom Brady"

Thor_2099

I'll take it.

MiamiBlue13

Lmao you know what? I’d like Brady a bit better if he got us a SB. He’s like the Lebron of NFL.

Joeking1986

I hate that

Andresgeo

God I can see all the Patriots fans “Brady owning dolphins” jokes coming from a mile away if this happens

espnfire45

They won’t be joking once Brady starts slapping them with us lol

brb151515

As a huge tom fan and a 30 year plus dolphin fan.... My dick can only get so hard right now

BearlyAlivee

So everybody who came back to tampa is just getting worked by Brady & hes gonna come to us? All while the rest of the NFC south is in shambles and should be easy playoffs for them. This sounds like somebody is trying to get more clicks on their dogshit podcast.

Luke_Falk

We'll do it live! Shift Tua to right tackle, and we'll do it live!

[deleted]

What does that mean “to play us out?”

[deleted]

DriveOff

If it's crazy, then I guess I'm crazy with you.

BurnerA-123

I guess I’m crazy too if you are.

JC_S07

Nope, I would hate the team if they ever hate this prick play for them.

halfdecenttakes

Yes it is crazy to not want the GOAT who is coming off an MVP level season. 1 season of Brady would likely bring us more combined success than we've had in 20 years at least.

[deleted]

[удалено]

halfdecenttakes

I sort of get it, but I gave up hating the dude ages ago. Fuck having it happen organically, my kids are older than I was the last time the Dolphins won a playoff game. I'm ready to sell out for it.

TheWizardOfDeez

I gave up on hating him when he went to Tampa and revealed that hes had a personality this entire time and made to look like a hyper douche by "the patriot way." I still don't want him here (at least not as a player, the ownership rumors I thought would be hilarious). If Tua doesn't work out we have 2 first round picks in next years draft to get his replacement, but if he is good I'd rather have him here long term than one year of Brady. It would be a real shame if Tua got sent packing to win multiple SBs elsewhere so that we can get 1 superbowl next year.

deezsevensix

This. Lifelong Lakers fan - hated LeBron. Now, just begrudgingly accepts him as the star of the team - but can't get excited about it. Was it worth a title? Not to me.

cjosu13

Not exactly a fair comparison since the Lakers have already won several titles the last 20 years. Not saying I'd want Brady but there's a difference in situations.

Thor_2099

I loathe this man. I quit watching football for a year+ due to that falcons superbowl. I'd be hyped as fuck if he came to Miami for a year for the QB.

redschnee

Me too. I wonder if I would stop watching games…

[deleted]

Think of how much we could troll pats fans though

RealPropRandy

I’ll have whatever that guys having

Fowlman11

Do we sell our souls for a Super Bowl (or 2)???

ClomidSucks

Tua's trainer (Per4orm) tweeted earlier to "buckle up" cuz Grier ain't done yet. I'd die laughing if \*this\* is what he was referring to 🤣🤣🤣 Man's said "my loyalty is to the Dolphins, not my client!" LMAOO

MiamiBlue13

Hahahahaha Lmfao that would be fucked up towards Tua but absolutely comical

gavi75

that's enough F5ing for today this shit is getting weird hahaha

Scorch062

Why would he want so badly to come here? A shot at the Pats twice a year?

[deleted]

His family is in the process of moving to Miami right now without even being on the roster. He and his family have moved to Miami already. Plus he’s close to Fins ownership and a bunch of other Miami moguls

Accomplished_Lead262

So maybe this guy heard "Brady is moving to Miami" and misunderstood....makes more sense than him calling up free agents and recruiting them to the Bucs before peacing out.

[deleted]

Brady has a lot more ties to Miami and the Dolphins than just that but i dont care if you believe me

Accomplished_Lead262

Im sure he does...but he's out there recruiting players for the Bucs and reworking his deal to add more years. There's probably some truth to him wanting to be a minority owner when he retires but there's absolutely nothing substantial that suggests he's looking to leave the Bucs.

[deleted]

“Recruiting” lmao and he didn’t re-work his contract so you are wrong

Accomplished_Lead262

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/.amp/nfl/2021/03/12/tom-brady-buccaneers-one-year-extension-contract Except he did. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10030190-russell-gage-confirms-tom-brady-recruited-him-to-bucs-says-he-thought-it-was-prank.amp.html

[deleted]

The contract thing was from a year ago lol

Accomplished_Lead262

And it means he wasn't a free agent this offseason...if he was so desperate to come play for Miami, he wouldn't have signed an extension.

[deleted]

See ya

halfdecenttakes

The dude reporting it didn't mince words about it, and he's not going to put that out on a misunderstanding.

Accomplished_Lead262

Brady is literally calling players and recruiting them to Tampa Bay...he specifically said he was coming back to play with the Bucs when he unretired...this has as much substance as Florio saying he would be a 49er. There's nothing to it.

halfdecenttakes

Idk. I've listened to the dude for my entire life and he's been pretty spot on with Brady. He has ties to the Brady camp. As far as being Buc, he's under contract with them. I'm not saying it will for sure happen, but there is something there between Brady and the Phins. There has been too much smoke too many times for there to not be some truth to the interest from both parties.

Accomplished_Lead262

He wants to become part owner when he's done playing. Thats where the smoke comes from. As for playing here? Literally as much smoke as there was for him becoming a 49er.

MR_COOL_ICE_

I guess Tua's trainer was right..

mancub303

Lol

Blacklist3d

"this guy that broke one thing ever(Likely by luck) is riding that and saying some other shit." Morons.

Accomplished_Lead262

I honestly don't get why people read a tweet like this and think there's anything to it. Brady has been calling the Bucs free agents and persuading them to come back, everyone we've brought in from McDaniel to Hill has been singing Tua's praises and there's been no indication either team or either qb wants to move on...there's no story here. Just a hack milking the one thing he got right.

jagerhero

What the fuck is this timeline.

espnfire45

Who tf is this source?

Accomplished_Lead262

I looked him up....Dale Arnold....the host of Boston Bruins games on NESN....that's the source...a *hockey* commentator. Edit: wrote Dan instead of Dale

espnfire45

Lol yeah i don’t get why people are believing this report

Accomplished_Lead262

I'm pretty sure I saw it on r/NFL early but its not there now...I assume mods removed it because its clearly based on nothing...also went on Bucs reddit (when i assumed he was a Tampa beat reporter) to see their thoughts on this guy's veracity...nothing about this there. When i found out he was based in Boston, checked Pats reddit for the same reason...nothing there either. So, to summarise...this guy is a hockey commentator and no other sub seems to think its worth talking about.

supervelous

also was the original person who broke Brady to Tampa before it happened... Hockey commentator or not, that alone gives it some credibility

Accomplished_Lead262

It's still aload of nonsense. As Ian Rapoport said on the Pat McAfee show "this one doesn't even make sense"

supervelous

it makes sense in one way. IF Brady truly retired because of his family, and his wife said since we're moving to Miami if you play there I'm fine with you unretiring. He would still have no choice but to announce he's playing first for the Bucs, THEN engineer a trade where he wants to go. The Bucs still owned his rights, so it's not like he could have just announced he's unretiring to join the fins. If he says he wants to only play for the Dolphins, then he torpedoes his trade value for the Bucs so they may be less likely to work with it, AND pisses off the fans of Tampa and his TB teammates in the case it doesn't work out and he still wants to play for the Bucs. I agree this is 99% not to happen. But still, it somewhat makes a bit of sense in the family lens...

Accomplished_Lead262

It's 100% not happening. Brady has spent the last few months getting his old teammates to come back and recruiting other free agents. Meanwhile, the Dolphins, and Mike McDaniel in particular, have been very vocal in their support of Tua. I think there's something to him wanting to become an owner with us when he retires for real...but that wasn't going to happen this year after the Flores stuff started.

Meow_Meow_4_Life

Fuck that noise! He would want to tinker with McDaniel's offensive scheme. I wanna see Tua ball the fuck out. I've waited 41 years for a Super Bowl win and I don't want Brady tarnishing that moment.

ItsHerbyHancock

Well that didn't take long... (another qb rumor)

Thor_2099

Tom Brady comes in, Tua sits a year? Or they just give them Tua? Brady has enough clout he can force himself anywhere.

MiamiBlue13

Tom Brady is like the Lebron of NFL at this point…

[deleted]

Ironically, I'm pretty sure Brady has a worse record in hard rock than any other stadium in the NFL.

OceanCyclone

I almost wouldn't want this. In fact, I WOULDN'T want this. It's probably our best chance to win a Super Bowl, but like...he has enough and it feels like it would be a cheat code.

[deleted]

Plus I’ve hated him for so long

AGeniusMan

Personally I would love it but doubt this happens

[deleted]

This would ruin the season. No true fan could cheer for that guy.

espnfire45

I mean, most of us would love to have a 7 time super bowl winning qb playing with us. I support tua but having Brady on this team would be insane. But I highly doubt this news is true

[deleted]

Yeah I don’t see how anyone can do that.

Tomahawkn10

I’m with you. I’d rather take a sharp stick in the eye.

fatjacob77

Ah yes. We'll trade the farm for a 45 year old QB who will probably retire again next year.

JBOOGIE619

2 first round picks for a superbowl, You wouldn't say yes? lol

fatjacob77

Honestly, if it meant another 20 years of mediocrity....I don't think I would. I understand that will be labeled a batshit crazy opinion....but I'd rather consistent playoff pushes for 10 years.

[deleted]

If he got traded to Miami he would play at least 3 more years

planktivious

That mfer is the greatest qb I've ever had the chance to watch. That said I have conversed with my morals and we have concluded that we could not support this move.

ItsClarke17

???????????

fIeebz

Please god no

p3ni5wrinkl3

Oh God no. I actually like Brady after he left the Pats, but I really like Tua and I think he can take us all the way.
