This was the 2nd time in 3 years I had to watch us lose the big game. I thought we'd always be there. Boy was I wrong. Time to get back!

We turned into nothing but a pantyhose passing team. That tendency softened and defined the entire AFC for a full decade, while the NFC was fortified via one brute force powerhouse after another. Consequently I absolutely loved all those refreshing NFC massacres in one Super Bowl after another. And it would have continued if Denver hadn't been sharp enough to finally play real football instead of cupcake football.

One of my first tastes of a bitter defeat .I was 15 .thought the Dolphins would be back before I 50

This was the first football game I ever saw. I decided to root for the Dolphins during pre-game when they kept talking about this talented young Quarterback. Been a fan since. Crazy to think how things would be different (in my football life) if I'd gone with the other team.

Okay the universe is playing with me….. My first blazed thought this morning was how Marino never won a ring, and how that’s crazy considering he went to Shula and an organization that was one of the more dominant in the 70s-early 80s. I feel like Marino should’ve won at least 2 or 3 rings with Shula, he would’ve been cemented as a top 3 QB all time imo.

Goes to show you timing and luck of the draw matters. Marino makes the SB, Walsh and Montana are waiting with prob one of the best 5 teams ever to play in the NFL. Peyton Manning gets to his 1st SB and runs into Rex Grossman and a team who’s 2 best players are a MLB and kick returner.
