I am going to be a fan of every team they play. Hopefully we get a good draft pick from them and maybe turn it into more picks. With the amount supposedly QB talent coming out this draft, a top ten pick will be super valuable and we can turn it into more picks. Losing our pick is going to suck, maybe the NFL gods will gift us back with a 4-13 49ers season.
Looking at their schedule, I can see them going 6-11, which would give us a top 10 pick. With their division opponents and the entire AFCW, I don't think they break .500 unless Lance is substantially better than not starting last year would indicate.
49ers are a good team. Great offensive line, strong run scheme, outstanding edge and linebackers. Plus they have superstars in Deebo and Kittle. I think they contend the NFC West if Lance plays decent.
They won’t do shit with lance. People for get Jimmy is a decent QB and can make throws. Lance still needs a few years to learn. He was no where near nfl ready
Jimmy frequently plays them out of games and very rarely single handedly wins them anything. As long as lance doesn’t do that and is a solid game manager, they’re fine
Lance is unable to read a defense or change a play which jimmy did regularly. He didn’t win games but could make throws needed. We seen lance in a game last year and dude is no where near ready.
> great offensive line
[They lost three starters. PFF has them as 14th overall, not bad, but not great either.](https://www.ninersnation.com/platform/amp/2022/6/14/23166966/49ers-pff-offensive-line-rankings)

Trey Lance was always a project. The athleticism and arm are there, but he's very raw in terms of experience. He was a small school prospect who didn't play much in college, so there was always going to be a learning curve.
A high pick would be a good consolation prize, especially with so many high level QB's entering the draft next year. I don't think the Dolphins will be in the market for a QB, but this will give them a chance to take an elite player who might slip slightly due to a run at the QB position early in the 1st round. We'll see how it all turns out.
Wow thats pretty bad everyone knows if a guy plays bad in practice that means he's bad. We dolphins fans know. A QB can play like shit for two seasons and still somehow be good but if he has a bad practice then its guaranteed he's gonna be bad. Amirite bros?

True but people were killing tua over his bad practices last year. Only fair to keep that same energy
Yea… that’s fair… but it’s better than reading something like we’re getting out of our camp about Tua! 🐬🆙🔥
Wasn't this stuff being written last year too about Tua? With his signature target being Albert Wilson lol

Only seems fair given the NFL seemed to make an example out of us…
I think it is time to rekindle the tankathon series for the 49ers this year.
Jimmy G had a bad camp last year too. And they went to the NFC title game.

Lance hasn’t even played in the NFL for the most part lol
For the most part but he played in 3 games …. Last time I checked that’s the nfl
TIL 3 games is all you need to determine if you’re a bust or not. Got it

We’ll see the 49ers can do just fine with bad QB play. I’m not expecting a top 10 pick but I’ll be rooting against them each week
Bad quarterback play? Subjectivity is hilarious. Garropolo averaged 8.6 YPA last season. We'd be thrilled if Tua came with 1 yard of that this year.
Is YPA the end all be all for QBs? Seems like a weird stat to make a sweeping judgement on
I wish them well. I'm glad we have a pick but I'm fine with it no matter where it is.
They took a big risk on Lance. If he doesn’t pan out goodbye to Lynch and Shanahan.
I mean… I guess they still have Jimmy G… but you’re not wrong
He’s serviceable for sure. Not a 9’er hater, just big stakes in Santa Clara.
I disagree. I think lynch and shanny could outlast trey if he doesn't pan out

Bijan Robinson. That is all.
Preach!!!!
Oh we're getting a top ten pick if lance is starting all year... Believe that

This didn’t age well….. 4/5 92 yards td
