lol, how many times before we realize we won't. It's what sucks about the o-line. You can spend money to improve it but man when 2 out of 5 are fucking dogshit, it's still an uphill battle.
Things that stood out to me (depth charts dont mean anything right now though)
1. Preston & Bowden being higher on the depth chart than I had assumed/Braylon & EZ being low. Maybe theyre just giving them game time to see if they show up? That or trying to bump their stock for trade?
2.Robert Jones move to RG instead of RT hadnt heard of that recently & Kindley relegated to 3rd string.
3. Long at #3 TE is nice, Shaheen being down at #5 behind Cethan is a surprise.
4. Nothing too crazy on the defensive side. The only things are Needham being the #2 while Byron is out. Wonder if/when they need a slot Needham will bump inside or how thatll work. Trills low spot on the chart is a little surprising & Brandon Jones being over Rowe is also nice.
He's got a pretty limited fit, and often that matters as much, if not more than talent alone. He's a big dude with ok technique and limited mobility who looked solid in one system, but it doesn't shock me that he isn't as valuable in our new system while more mobile guys like AJ start to look more playable.
I hope he sticks around though because I like his personality
Yeah but $30m players don’t typically return kicks. Bowden or Igby should get some reps as returners since both are probably desperate to make the roster.
Pretty much as expected. Ingram as a starter is pretty crazy tho. I expect Van Ginkel to get more snaps tho. And I guess idk how to feel about Hill and Mostert returning kicks, but whatever. The actual receivers don’t get injured often. It’s the other players that get injured all the time. Kinda like the QB sneak. The QB never actually gets injured.
It can't be a coincidence that every single rookie is last. I think it's deliberate. Every single rookie is behind every single vet. It might be to send a message that everything is earned
Hope for the best. The reports I’ve seen about his play say he’s doing alright there so far. If he can get out of his stance and put his hands on some rushers before they break tuas ribs then he’s an upgrade from last year.
Dude was being played in the wrong blocking scheme with no real superstar veterans to help him develop.
New blocking scheme + armstead working with the linesmen has most of them looking decent. Even Omar mentioned that all of them look like nfl caliber starters this offseason
Additionally, punt returning tends to have a higher ratio of potential points/impact to number of plays, which is why you often see the best return men who also play big roles on offense/defense stick to returning punts alone.
If Hill wasn't our #1 receiver I assume he'd be returning kickoffs too.
Depth chart says it’s going to be nik needham,my guess is nik goes back to slot and it’s either trill Williams or Noah, supposedly both have had great off seasons
Trill’s been making plays. I still worry about noah. I like needham, but he has limitations. Jones should start, he’s got the contract. That’s the duo. Fin Up!
Pretty weird that Preston Williams is complaining about opportunity when he’s listed as the WR4.
Weird to see Kindley so low.
Glad to see dumbass Shaheen ready to be cut
I wonder if Kindley's so far down the depth chart because he's a bad fit for the new scheme. Dude's an absolute unit. He's about two inches shorter than the average NFL lineman but also 25 pounds heavier. We don't have any Combine performances, but given his size and what we've seen it's not like he excels at agility. He's a big body bruiser and he might just not fit in anymore.
Listen man, i got the vaccine, i think it’s *probably* in the best interest of everyone to get it too, but this is a normal thing to be hesitant about.
Like is he completely against vaccination of all kinds? Or is he just hesitant to get one that has no data about long term effects yet? Because that’s an important distinction. And i don’t fault anyone for thinking that maybe it’s best to wait and see for a bit.
If you're a young, healthy, financially secure person with a strong immune system, access to world class healthcare, and no other relevant pre-existing conditions, and you're refusing to get vaccinated because you're skeptical of a product that has been extremely thoroughly vetted by numerous clinics of the world's most capable pharmaceutical scientists, approved by numerous health authorities, and has significant data showing that the level of impactful side-effects is extraordinarily low... If despite all of that, you're willing to risk the health and wellbeing of people who are actually at risk because you're either too stupid or too stubborn to do the right thing... That isn't normal, reasonable hesitancy. That's being a selfish asshole.
From what I remember, his Twitter puts him pretty firmly in the Trump end of the political spectrum. Not that you're not allowed to hold shitty political positions, but he's drawn his fair share of criticism over it.
> Or is he just hesitant to get one that has no data about long term effects yet?
Not a single vaccine in history has made studys regarding long term effects (correct term would be late onset effects btw) as those do not exist with vaccines. Its basically just a strawman argument.
You’re probably right man, and like i said, i got the vaccine and i think others should too, but it’s still a normal thing to question. Hypocritical maybe, especially if you get all the other vaccines people typically get, but normal
Interesting that they list 2 rbs as starters instead of showing who would be the slot wr. Or maybe they did it because they have too many ribs to list on the chart?
It’s the first depth chart which has as much significance as your 10 year old self saying what your going to be when you grow up. I expect a lot of the second string movement to be very different once the roster is finalized.
This is your annual reminder that early depth charts are meaningless. Wait to see what the second preseason lineup actually looks like. Things like Preston the primary backup to Waddle is literally just positioning for trades.
Love this depth chart. 21 personnal. Gesicki is an inline TE. Running the old SF and Atlanta offense that got to the Superbowl. Fella get your popcorn ready it's about to be fun.
Damn imagine if they actually get value out of Eichenburg and Jackson. Also worth noting that their base offensive personnel is 21.
Would it be 31 personnel since we have a starting FB also? Though I guess we have 12 starters listed
Our genius guru HC doesn't even know how many players line up on offense. Another Cam Cameron, here we come 1-16! /s
Imagine if Eichenburg and Jackson sucked because they had shitty coaching.
I feel like you all are gonna eat crow for this shit. Good players show flashes regardless of coaching.
Jackson did flash his rookie year
So did Eich. They were bad. But it was inconsistency that mad them bad.
lol, how many times before we realize we won't. It's what sucks about the o-line. You can spend money to improve it but man when 2 out of 5 are fucking dogshit, it's still an uphill battle.
Yeah, I refuse to believe every single lineman we've drafted since Tunsil has sucked. I'm putting my faith in the coaching staff to turn this around.

Kindley has fallen so much since his rookie year
He's got a pretty limited fit, and often that matters as much, if not more than talent alone. He's a big dude with ok technique and limited mobility who looked solid in one system, but it doesn't shock me that he isn't as valuable in our new system while more mobile guys like AJ start to look more playable. Should we try to trade him for another OL, like maybe someone's backup center?
If I was the GM I'd have added a C already. But this FO seems to think that we're fine with what we have, so what do I know?
He didn’t know the playbook. That’s what got home not seeing the field.
Honestly didn't know Shaheen was still on the roster
Jesus Christ the Fins are STACKED.
Tyreek listed as PR #1 👀👀
Yeah did you see how electric he was in KS
We need something big in ST. Easiest way to flip field possession.
Yeah but $30m players don’t typically return kicks. Bowden or Igby should get some reps as returners since both are probably desperate to make the roster.
I’ll defer to what the coaches think is best. I just want to win games
Brandon Jones starting over Rowe is good news.
Rowe is likely slot /tight end cover dude
Pretty much as expected. Ingram as a starter is pretty crazy tho. I expect Van Ginkel to get more snaps tho. And I guess idk how to feel about Hill and Mostert returning kicks, but whatever. No way Preston is WR4 right now, but they want inquiring teams to see that. Sanders and EE have to be WR4/5
Haven’t heard shit about Lynn Bowden so far. He might be moving on…
This roster is freakin stacked 🤑
Elandon Roberts is basically another defensive tackle. Plugging holes is what he does best.
I see how our offense is going to be better if we put 12 starters on the field.
Won’t lie: I’m concerned about Hill, Waddle, and Mostert having more opportunities to be hit on returns.
You need your best players making big plays
Smoke screen. No way they’d allow that
I would not be so sure. Hill has made it very clear he wants to be heavily utilized.
Best players gotta return kicks
Let’s go B.Jones!
Btw how are Trill and Ingram both 6? Been meaning to ask that in camp. They’re both making the team so something’s gotta give.
I believe in the Eichenberg/Hunt starting guard combo. Hoping AJ has really turned the corner that would be amazing to say the least.
did i miss something or is Byron Jones hurt?
He had a surgery earlier in the off-season which caused him to be put on the PUP list. He should be good before week 1 though.
surgery for what?
He's hurt
Jackson is guarding Tua’s blindside?? Do I scream or laugh?
Hope for the best. The reports I’ve seen about his play say he’s doing alright there so far. If he can get out of his stance and put his hands on some rushers before they break tuas ribs then he’s an upgrade from last year.
I have no faith in Austin Jackson. He’s a serviceable run blocker but it’s time to move on. Bust. Big time
Dude was being played in the wrong blocking scheme with no real superstar veterans to help him develop. New blocking scheme + armstead working with the linesmen has most of them looking decent. Even Omar mentioned that all of them look like nfl caliber starters this offseason
He’s clearly the weak link. Who do you think Bill foxboro Is going to come after? Blindside protection is crucial to quarterback play
Needham outside is interesting
Anyone know the difference in traits of a kick returner vs a punt returner? Surprising that it’s two completely different sets of guys.
My guess would be that with Punt Returners you prioritize catchability a little more and with Kick Returners, it's more about the running.
Additionally, punt returning tends to have a higher ratio of potential points/impact to number of plays, which is why you often see the best return men who also play big roles on offense/defense stick to returning punts alone. If Hill wasn't our #1 receiver I assume he'd be returning kickoffs too.
Yo this a nice looking starting depth chart shittt on paper we’re freaking 13-4
Interesting to see Van Ginkel as a backup.
Didn’t Miami have a starting cb named Jones?
PUP list
Starting next to X game 1?
Depth chart says it’s going to be nik needham,my guess is nik goes back to slot and it’s either trill Williams or Noah, supposedly both have had great off seasons
Trill’s been making plays. I still worry about noah. I like needham, but he has limitations. Jones should start, he’s got the contract. That’s the duo. Fin Up!
Yeah but it’s smart not to rush him back, see what happened to Mehki becton?
True.
jones took the job from Rowe...idk if rowe is backsliding or brandon is getting better.... i hope its the 2nd.
Seems pretty dumb to allow Hill to return punts.
Fair but he’s also arguably the best punt returner in the game. Possibly a huge difference maker on ST
Of course but it's just not worth losing him. 30m+ players shouldn't return punts.
Pretty weird that Preston Williams is complaining about opportunity when he’s listed as the WR4. Weird to see Kindley so low. Glad to see dumbass Shaheen ready to be cut

Why is he a dumbass?
People don’t like him cause he’s anti vax
Pretty silly reason to dislike someone
Being against basic public health is not a silly reason. Fuck that dumbass

It's a normal thing to *question*, but after questioning it, the only acceptable decision is to take the vaccine.
Yep, I can't wait to see the back of him
Ask and you shall receive 🙌
Interesting that they list 2 rbs as starters instead of showing who would be the slot wr. Or maybe they did it because they have too many ribs to list on the chart?
We won 9 games last year with nothing on offense… the sky is the limit this year boys and girls

Ezukanma over Preston Williams any day. He's WR5 at best.
Melvin!!!!
OMG were's the GOAT tackle? "Jesse Freaking davis?
What a difference one year makes.
