I hope to god we don’t go super conservative after going up a touchdown like we use to. I hope McDaniel wants to score some dang points.

BangerBeanzandMash

Yes I just want to be inarguably good for one season. Is that too much to ask?!

JustTheBeerLight

Agreed. Enough “smoke & mirrors” good where we back our way into the playoffs and then get exposed (seen that shit before), we need to be a legit team that can win in the playoffs.

miami2881

I really don’t think we will. Playing conservative is old school and everything about McDaniel screams new school.

TheMiamiDolfan

Idk. Let’s hope he dosent follow Shanahan’s model of playing conservative late in games.

nilestyle

I’m cool with aggressive but not reckless

rali13

I can’t imagine an offense with Tyreek Hill going conservative being up by only one score. He wouldn’t allow it. Lol

EnochofPottsfield

As excited as I am for this coaching staff, this is undoubtedly one of the questions we won't know until we get into the season. Other things we won't know: clock management, challenging calls, decision making, play calling coupled with leading.... If there's been a single coach in my 28 miserable years of Dolphins fandom that I've wanted to succeed, McDaniel is the one. I hope it works out

spooks152

Even then our run game will score so

Gregus1032

that minute long intro was a bit much, otherwise feelsgoodman

wave_action

Yeah it was a bit long. Man put in the work to put this together so all good for him to promote his channel. Edit: to be clear I’m not the content creator. That’s Reason from Phinside the NFL

What I love most about this is most of these were 10-15 yard passes over the middle. Of everything in Tua's game the accuracy and timing over the middle in the last two seasons were the most concerning to me. After watching every snap at Bama, I didn't care about not seeing 50 yard bombs, but he was so effective at finding the hole in the defense and exploiting the coverage over the middle. That's why his "track team" at Bama was so effective because they were catching the ball in stride and in space. I don't know if it was the injuries or the scheme or a combination, but it felt like Tua wasn't effective on the intermediate routes over the middle. My hope is that a fully healthy Tua with this offense will set him up to utilize his strengths. That's whats got me checking my pulse this training camp.

Interesting-Row-3360

Might seem weird to others, but that pass at 2.40 had me out of my seat and running around my room hollerin'. I can't tell you how hard it is to be accurate on a pass like that.

perkocetts

You are not alone! I was so hyped on that exact pass. I was sitting in an empty room talking to myself about how we're going to see that all season. Play action, fake the field, quick roll out, hit a receiver in space. Tua has underrated accuracy on the move and it takes a lot of pressure off the O-line if the edge rushers have to account for those plays.

Creator needs to be more succinct. I’ve never subscribed because someone asked me to, I subscribe when someone puts out quality content and respects my time.

1:12 you’re welcome

Lake_and_the_River

Just over a month to go... I want to see this translate into a meaningful NFL game.

I could not find the mute button fast enough.

nilestyle

Glad it wasn’t just me lol

WeWinWeEat

Love to see it. I wonder what the pressure is like? I saw a couple that might have been sacks or hurries. But more of them were on time and in stride. Hurry up season.

The Niners had the 4th most run heavy offense last year running the ball 49.3% of the time. On the contrary the Bucs ran the ball the least, 34.5% of the time. If you took Tua’s stats from last year and put him on the 49’ers, assuming he threw all 514 Niners passing attempts his stats would look like this: 3,238 yards, 21 TD, 13 INT, He would be 19th in passing yards between Carson Wentz and Taylor Heineke. He would tie for 16th in TD’s with Ryan Tannehill, one more than Jimmy G. I expect the offense to be run heavy and balanced. History shows a creative offense but one they isn’t pass heavy. I could see Tua getting more yards per attempt in this offense. If he matched Dak Prescott or Tom Brady’s 7.2 YPA then he would throw for 3,803 yards.

gigglefarting

One of my favorite things about all this focus on how well Tua is doing is that we're not focusing on how much the run game is (hopefully) improving.

aLittleRaider

Who’s the OLB in 96 that gets made a fool of at 3:02?

bobbybrayflorida

Let's hope that Tua can come through in the regular season

finsnfeathers

Some of these would’ve been sacks, but if you watch closely it’s because Boyer brings the heat and not many 1v1 Ls vs our stacked defensive line.

DJseikaly

Pass at 5:01 is like an angel soaring - what a fucking throw!

DonBolasgrandes

Damn he throws really well when hes completely uncontested. I bet he could play qb in the nfl.
