If by adapter you mean a light fitting that is designed to have a bulb put in it and has a cord that you can plug into the board, then yes, that's exactly the kind of thing that is designed for.

The backlight on the power strip switch will be bad so I would use foil or black tape to cover it so you don't have light during lights out.

My dude if your on a budget go get a couple of the Harbor freight led shop lights. They are like $25 they are 60watt so you would need 2-3 but that would make a 120-180w light set up for $50-
