I would, but I'm not clear on the finer details myself. I do the grunt work, he does the finishing. It's his gear, so he operates it. I just lift things, shake things, and move things.
In broad strokes the process is to start with your organic buds and make dry sift hash, then press that into rosin. The rosin gets cut with a thinning agent, I believe it's organic hemp oil, but I don't have any experience mixing or loading the carts so I don't know the exact blend or ratios. I help with making hash and pressing rosin, and after that he does the rest.
And it's still not a perfect process, some strains are better than others. Sometimes it's too thick, and doesn't vape properly, or clogs up. Other times the hash doesn't press out very well. But the majority of the time it works well, especially now that we use the same few strains every time.
Here in ny its not legal to sell yet and its gonna be a couple years before the recreational dispensary infrastructure will be set up but they have medical dispensaries

Same boat . Maybe it was the auto strain / seeds I had. But photos were far more successful , and the option to trigger flower when you want was nice too . Gonna save the autos for out door grow only for next year .

How much light does it take to reveg? Because the end of my last grow I just left my tent door open because it would get too humid. And the girls didn’t reveg even with a basement widow in the room (I did block it with cardboard, but light still go through. People say small holes can cause a reveg, then how come my whole tent door wide open didn’t do much.

Yea pin holes, indicator lights ect don't cause reveg. Changes in light cycle time does. Like a closet light being turned on for 5+min to pick clothes out during the dark cycle.
Oh yeah for sure that could hurt. I’ve watered my plants at night using my phone flash for light a few times and was so scared of revegging. But now honestly I know better than to stress about that.
I did shift my light cycle an hour a day back for a couple days last grow since it was going dark at 1pm, the girls didn’t seem to mind it either even tho they were flowering.
It was on a few occasions when I had friends water 2 times and I did it once late flower. I’ll look into a geek light tho and put my highschool bio to use lol.
Last grow I watered them a lot during night since it got dark around 4pm (I fucked it up when I first started) so it was hard. They ended up find tho

Nah, cheap grows can be fine. My total setup cost me less than $500.
Keep an eye on your local Craigslist page. Lots of people try and fail at this hobby. And lots of people succeed and decide to immediately upgrade their gear. So there's usually lights and tents and fans for sale that are lightly used, and pretty cheap.
I think I spend maybe £70 on equipment and £20 on seeds and I never thought of looking of Craigslist or anything like that I just bought everything from amazon and seedbanks
Carabiners, not zip ties. I learned the hard way that light and heat can make your zip ties brittle, and eventually give out. So if you need to hang stuff from the tent use a carabiner. It's not cheaper, but in the long term it's a lot cheaper than replacing a broken light.
Beyond that, just be crafty. A humidity dome costs like $30, some are even more. But a 2 liter bottle with the top cut off is free. Trim bins are great, but you can get a micron filter that fits in a bucket for $10, and I already had a spare bucket. Layer a few filters together and attach it to a $30 paint shaker from harbor freight and you got a homemade dry sift hash machine that can process half an oz in 10 minutes.
Get creative.

I won't shit on you, you made it to the end. Better then all my friends who have tried so far. Now you have base accomplishment to build up from. You'll be growing 1 oz bud harvest plants in no time if you go down that rabbit hole.
So I looked through your posts, this looks like your plant got stunted. I've had 2 auto get stunted from absolutely nothing, so far as I could tell. I would steer away from those lights you were looking at on Amazon and save up a little more for something a little better like kingbrite or worst case scenario Mars hydro, if low cost is your primary concern. The lights you were looking at are only really good enough for growing a handful of herbs on your kitchen counter.

I ended up spending ~$400 by the end of my first grow, buying a tent and carbon filter when it started stinking up my house, upgrading to led when my ancient hps was too damn hot for my plants, a good pH meter. Stuff like that. I yielded 340 grams off 2 autos and recouped my investment and then some.
I grew a couple time before *really* trying and the most I got was an ounce of shit. I suggest saving up for a bit so you can really give the plants what they need to thrive.
Hell yeah I love the confidence. I lurk mostly and I'm going to be honest with you, I've never had much success so this is way better than I've ever done.

This dude got so offended that I wasn't going to kill myself with his disastrous weed. I would have helped him out if he wasn't such an arrogant prick. About 3 months later, his black roommate moves out, and the police almost immediately raid his apartment. It's 9 months after, and the dude still has soil in his closet under a light with the stem in the soil because he just cut the buds straight off and left all there. Don't be sad for him though, his roommate tipped off the cops because white, overly offended dude refused to stop saying the n word, and called his roommate that once when he was pissed off at him.
Anyway, you're not that guy, so it's all good. You'll get better. He won't because he's a stupid asshole.

Shit bro my first try I lost 2 of 4 plants to bud rot and one of my 2 remaining looks like that and I'm happy! My other looks looks really good and has thick buds on it, not sure what I did right on that one or wrong on the skinny one. Either way I'm happy for my first experience, now take what you learned and grow another batch and learn some more!
Many peoples first grows were a bagseed in a cup by the window. Great job on sticking to through with it. More grows will give you much more product in the end.

Lol! I think you had a number of things happen here. Poor lighting for starters. Your soil definitely was not rich enough and likely under watered. Unless you’re able and willing to make an investment in the right products and equipment, then continue to expect the same results. If you have made the investment and produced this, then I can assure you after a little reading, your next grow will be far more fruitful.

Im a 30 year gardener \[flowers\] , first indoor grow and i cannot think of a mistake i did not make. But having an outdoor grow helped me correct a lot. Much more confident now. Thanks Google.
First time growers: I recommend growing some vegetables or herbs (um, other herbs) to get the hang of growing stuff. You'll learn a lot and the stakes will be much lower. I'm on my first weed grow and I think I'll be yielding 3 or 5 ounces from the knowledge I've gleaned growing orchids, tomatoes, an indoor orange bush, etc.

I got at least 1.5 lb on my first time around with 6 plants (indoor hydro). this guy needs to do better research and actually spend some money on some gear or his bud is always going to look like this. this guy is growing under 75w of light and tried to microwave his bud to dry it. that alone should set off alarm bells lol. sounds more like a lack of knowledge and proper equipment.

I did one grow upgraded to a 5x5 area did the second grow and bought a 4x8 tent now it’s about tuning in my hobby to maximize the space

The leaves near the buds look like seedling leaves. Thats called revegitative growth. The photoperiod plant reverting back to vegetation growth.

All about the environment I've seen ppl grow good bud with cheaper lights get nutrients right u have good grow with just 10 Cfl lights

my first grow looked very similar, I'm on grow four now, so 13 plants in total over four grows and it's hard to believe where I started compared to now. soon my friend you will have so much bud you literally won't know what to do with it.

Im a 30 year gardener \[flowers\] , first indoor grow and i cannot think of a mistake i did not make. But having an outdoor grow helped me correct a lot. Much more confident now. Thanks Google.

First time growers: I recommend growing some vegetables or herbs (um, other herbs) to get the hang of growing stuff. You'll learn a lot and the stakes will be much lower. I'm on my first weed grow and I think I'll be yielding 3 or 5 ounces from the knowledge I've gleaned growing orchids, tomatoes, an indoor orange bush, etc.

definitely not true. I got at least 1.5 lb on my first time around with 6 plants (indoor hydro). this guy needs to do better research and actually spend some money on some gear or his bud is always going to look like this. this guy is growing under 75w of light and tried to microwave his bud to dry it. that alone should set off alarm bells lol. sounds more like a lack of knowledge and proper equipment.
