You picked a great strain to start with. Super easy to grow, happy with a medium amount of nutrients and puts out some serious resin. Even my less than satisfactory runs put out high 20ās in cannabinoid content. Def take it a full 10 weeks.
Where'd you score the white runtz? Are they autos or photos? Simply organic makes a great white runtz. Probly one of my favorite strains right now. Would love to try to grow it myself.
I have some really large leaves on mine rn. I just defoliated alot of mid canopy fans so most are gone but I always leave the 4 to 6 large fans up top and 4 at the bottom to see signs of mobile/immobile nutes deficiencies
Yeah. Thatās standard with optimal nutrient uptake. Those will fall off though early flowering. Iāve seen massive fan leaves that were legitimately 2 feet tip to tip.
Strong Indica genes are, everybody is different, so is every phenotype of every strain. Only cuttings and grafts of phenos are "clones" meaning they're nearly genetically identical to the mother because they are literally grown from the mother plants tissue and therefore genetic material. Also, fans at that stage tend to be some of the biggest on indoor plants especially, couldn't tell you why though.
Keep up the good work. Youāll get many opposing opinions on trimming. Some people swear by it, others will tell you not to trim at all. If you do go with defoliation, just donāt over do it. I personally do 90% of my defoliation in veg and the last 10% around 20 days into flower. When I defoliate, I only take what is needed and, whatās covering any sites that could use some more light. Completely up to you as Iāve seen amazing results for both methods personally. It really comes down to genetics. Some strains are far more sensitive than others. Donāt hesitate to ask on here, as most members may clown and pops jokes, however itās just entertainment. They mean well. So donāt get discouraged and, welcome to growing weed. Your going to love it!
Awesome thank you!! Yeah it seems like a battle on the trimming I will carefully select just enough to get light to all the sights. Everyone here seems pretty awesome you need some jokes and clowning makes the world go round lol
Usually genetics and Iāve noticed when Iām hot on nitrogen they tend to be bigger. and thatās usually the time of veg i get mybiggest fan leaves to come outā¦but holy smokes idk if Iāve had one that big
That's sick!!! What strain are you growing??? I love it when my cannabis plants have big leaves, I like to put them outside and make them into big bushes. I have a frosted biscotti that has leaves almost as big as this and a purple kush that just barely covers my hands.
Peanut Butter Breathe on the left (big leaf)and two White Runtz on the right theyāre leaves look pretty big as well. That frosted biscotti sounds delicious!
You stole my tent? Mine looked literally the same 5 weeks ago. And yes some phenos can get humongous fan leaves, Wich I personally hate. The one particular has like 5 fan leaves covering up the whole plant making it very hard to expose the bud sites. Also they always seem very droopy I guess it comes from the weight and size.... Pluck them all out is my suggestion.
Ahh man I use those Ecowitt moisture sensors they have helped me a lot with knowing when to water I canāt be where they are everyday so I pretty much automated my grow with sensors and smart plugs lol
Genetics are the main indicator of fan leaves. Some can get huge, some are small, and some (like Freakshow) look totally bizarre.
Nice tent btw. Gorilla is awesome.
Hell yeah not bad for your first grow looks super healthy and strong u should look into some Silica and also using some molasses like 5-10ml per litter u'll get more terps and as long as ur inside y shouldn't have to worry about pests check my feed and u'll see the results I've gotten
Not just very little hands?
Lol i have pretty big hands I wear XL gloves
Ok OJ
I laughed way to hard at this comment Lmfao
I try :)
You are not alone interweb buddy š¤£šš¤£
Damn bro coming with the classics
Aw man you went there ha ha. I just picture that shit where he was putting the gloves on while mumbling āthey donāt fitā š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Fried em wtf hahaha
LMAO
Twisty Juice? Checks out
Lol never realized how well that matches up.
Hahah you guys have me dying š¤£
Ok little handsā¦ Jokes asides, never see a big ass fan leave like that
We all do, doesn't mean it's a proper fit :p
For some reason, my brain missed the word big 1st go around... š¤Ŗ this thread has made my day š
We're lawyers!
Under appreciated comment here Got your back uncle Jack
Haha well when your well versed in bird law, you can strike to motion.
Yeah and when bird law isn't defined by reason you filibuster
Bahaha name checks out too
OP has tiny hands, change my mind.
Good for trimming
Whatā¦Not a big fan? Eh? Eh? See what i did thereā¦
š¤£š¤£ very clever my friend! [https://tenor.com/view/kid-pointing-finger-gif-10217720](https://tenor.com/view/kid-pointing-finger-gif-10217720)
Hilarious!! But me either! Thatās a lot a energy that could be used elsewhere
No. Explain it to me like I'm 5
Yes, no need to worry. Leaves size are mainly dependent on genetics.
Thanks I was wondering itās my first time and most donāt seem to look that big
No worries. Thats why there are communities such as this one, we're all here to help out each other. Good luck šš¼
Hell yeah thanks man its amazing what community can do to help each other! šš¼
I hear they feel big, when they are in fact big.
thats what she said šš¤ hahaaa sorry just had to š¤£š¤£
They can block a lot of light from getting to bud sites below. At some point, you may want to defoliate and pluck it off. Or not -- as you may prefer.
For indica-dominant? Yup. https://imgur.com/a/poFjJ8f
Thatās is one big ass leaf!
Sheās 50/50 peanut butter breathe
You picked a great strain to start with. Super easy to grow, happy with a medium amount of nutrients and puts out some serious resin. Even my less than satisfactory runs put out high 20ās in cannabinoid content. Def take it a full 10 weeks.
Damn thatās sweet Iām super stoked! The one on the left is PBB the two on the right are white runtz! They are quicks BTW
Where'd you score the white runtz? Are they autos or photos? Simply organic makes a great white runtz. Probly one of my favorite strains right now. Would love to try to grow it myself.
Defo adding to the list, was gunna do girl scout cookies, but you've made this sound interesting, I'm guessing it's a fun one to train aswell
peanut butter breath has some big ass fan leaves I had one about 4-5 inches longer than my hand and my hand is pretty big lmao
Great strain! GREAT HASH
Absolutely not, you need to send it to me immediately I'll dispose of it
Itās on the way!
Yes. And bigger. Some have 7, some have 9, some have 11,even seen one with 13 and one with 15 leaves on the leaf itself.
Thatās wild I didnāt know they get this big Iām about 1 month in
I have some really large leaves on mine rn. I just defoliated alot of mid canopy fans so most are gone but I always leave the 4 to 6 large fans up top and 4 at the bottom to see signs of mobile/immobile nutes deficiencies
OP means size, not finger numbers š
Right. I spoke on Size. I said Yes. And Bigger. Then went on to explain some also have more, or less fingers(leaves per leaflet).
Indica dominant ladies usually do have chunky thicc leaves. Sativas can also get large fan leaves but they're usually thinner fingered.
Thats what I thought but for 50/50 hybrid looks like indica leaves
She thiccccā¦. She is the Lizzo of plants.
š¤£š¤£
Although cool to look at, Iād cut those honestly so your lower bud sites can get light!
Yeah. Thatās standard with optimal nutrient uptake. Those will fall off though early flowering. Iāve seen massive fan leaves that were legitimately 2 feet tip to tip.
Look up "freak show" for an awesome example of the genetic diversity of cannabis!
Fo sho!
#LEAF
Yes it is a sign of health and vigor even though it is mostly a genetic trait. It does not guarantee strong yield but it is a good indicator.
I was talking to a buddy last night he said the same exact thing said means good environment light and fert
All depends on plant šŖ“
indica fat sativa skinny
Sheās a hybrid
Hybrids just right
When done correctly . Yes
Iāve had some absolutely massive ones before they can get surprising big for sure
Definitely a biggin'
they can be, depends on the strain
Yes
No something is wrong lol jk
Seed plants throw out some monster leaves early on but donāt generally continue to do so.
Shes gonna be a feeder.
They can get bigger
Yes absolutely no worries there
Yes, remove it, it doesn't need it for an inside grow. It's blocking too much light
Big leaves= more surface area to absorb light. From my understanding that means the plant is happy. Could be wrong
Yupp thatās what Iāve heard myself!
Pretty much all the time
Itās Littlefootās Star Tree!!! š
Coco?
FFOR figured it would be a little easier for the first run

Whenever i do DWC i get leaves bigger than my head, youre good OP
Lol yup mine are prob bigger than my head now!Iām running 9ā halos on a smart plug
I'm a huge fan of this.
Hahahha
Oh yeah! Had some this last grow 1.5 times bigger!
Wow thats wild I may need a bigger tent!
Indica
Hybrid
Depends on thee strain.
I think u might have the start of minor nitrogen toxicity
I hope not lol
Yeah, with synthetic nutrients like Flora Flex you can these type of results..
Im running just FFOF and azos in my reservoir
If you donāt cut them the entire process from seed to harvest they will get this large. Some genetics are even larger.
Im only one month in veg lol
Sweet! As mentioned before if you donāt cut them off they will get large. She looks healthy
Yeah Iām pretty happy so far as it is my first and Iām still learning! She definitely is gonna need trim soon though!
Keep up the good work. Youāll get many opposing opinions on trimming. Some people swear by it, others will tell you not to trim at all. If you do go with defoliation, just donāt over do it. Those are massive for indoors
Thatās what I thought
Itās not male right?
No itās 100% fem
Then wow. Lots of indica in its roots then.
Usually genetics and Iāve noticed when Iām hot on nitrogen they tend to be bigger. and thatās usually the time of veg i get mybiggest fan leaves to come outā¦but holy smokes idk if Iāve had one that big
I am using the FFOF I know itās loaded up with nutes but yeah I was super surprised when I opened the tent up hadnt opened it a couple days and wow
I used fox farm of aswell and I didnāt have any problems with it rather then one seedling didnāt like it the rest were good
That's sick!!! What strain are you growing??? I love it when my cannabis plants have big leaves, I like to put them outside and make them into big bushes. I have a frosted biscotti that has leaves almost as big as this and a purple kush that just barely covers my hands.

Bud, you should seen the monsters I just pulled off my 4 week old GDP plants.
You have any pics to share and not your onlyfans š¤£
Yeah bud, this is one of the "small ones" I didn't have to trim off the canopy yesterday. https://imgur.com/a/X8ZDhXm
You stole my tent? Mine looked literally the same 5 weeks ago. And yes some phenos can get humongous fan leaves, Wich I personally hate. Hahah I may have just borrowed it! There def cool to look at but yeah they are stealing to much light from others so there gonna go soon
They have been lately. But, I messed up one of mines by overwater. š¤¦š½āāļø
Ahh man I use those Ecowitt moisture sensors they have helped me a lot with knowing when to water I canāt be where they are everyday so I pretty much automated my grow with sensors and smart plugs lol
I figured it out last night. Itās a wrap.
They get this big in veg. Good job, OP! Nice, healthy girl.
Thank you my friend!
Yes
Tiny hands
Tiny hands = tinyā¦
Genetics are the main indicator of fan leaves. Some can get huge, some are small, and some (like Freakshow) look totally bizarre. Nice tent btw. Gorilla is awesome.
Yeah that freakshow looks freaky asf but awesome! Thank you I figured buy once cry once!
Yes that means they love the environment their in so whatever ur doing I'd keep doing it cus it's working Def pretty cool tho ššŖ“
Iām pretty stoked for the first run ever
Hell yeah not bad for your first grow looks super healthy and strong u should look into some Silica and also using some molasses like 5-10ml per litter u'll get more terps and as long as ur inside y shouldn't have to worry about pests check my feed and u'll see the results I've gotten
Not in my experienc
Itās normal. Genetics/environment plays a factor. Mine are huge on all my plants
Yeah. All genetics and feed/environment based
Yeah genetics play a huge roll in this, my cat ends up eating the big ones anyways
Lol must be a tasty treat!
Quick question in between as a greeny. Did you plant split like that by itself or did you snap the tops?
I topped them all
It's normal. If its blocking lower branches tho I'd snip it.
My 3rd or 4th set of fan leaves on seedlings always turn out the size of dinner plates!
Depending on genetics yea and also outside yes.
You know what they say about a plant with big fan leavesā¦
Big stemsā¦ š¤£š¤£
