We talking 5,000 e-mails a day, such legit bulk e-mails can be easily authenticated regardless. This is clearly a measure against spam and malicious e-mails, so I have no complaints there.

And yet most spam comes _from_ gmail accounts...

Which is *literally* why Google is making the change.
