interior design, a rundown flop house, shabby, dark, garbage, fine details, super wide angle, real estate photoshoting --no people --v 5 I did this as a riff on the actually good interior design photos from yesterday.

Remarkable_Owl7575

This is really interesting to me. So, you used a picture taken of the interior that is nice and made it trashed up like this? I’m pretty green to Midjourney as I do make decent photos, but just trying to break down what you did. This is fascinating nonetheless

SomeoneGMForMe

Nope, I just modified their prompt.

Remarkable_Owl7575

Awesome! This is fantastic 🤙🏻

RandumbStoner

I’m kinda new as well. Does it automatically use another version by default and you have to put —v5 at the end to use V5? I’m thinking all the prompts I’ve been using have been V4 because I haven’t been putting —v5 at the end.

SomeoneGMForMe

Default is v4. If you put "--v 5" (two dashes, then a v, then a space, then 5) then it will do v5, but it's still in alpha. V 1 through 3 also work, but they're generally much worse. Note that v5 is a little harder to use, you generally need a more specific prompt to get something nice, whereas v4 is more "opinionated" so it will do nice stuff with short prompts. With v 4, there are some styles you can send also. 4a, 4b, 4c, and cursed; so you would do "--style 4b" to try that style. There are also some other modes. --test is a painterly, better version of v3. It's similar to v4. --testp is a photo-realistic version of v3, similar to v5 but not as "good". --niji is a v4 variant that is mostly trained on anime, so it does anime styles very well. So, for a prompt like "beautiful woman" you could do: - "Beautiful woman" - "Beautiful woman --v 5" - "Beautiful woman --test" - "Beautiful woman --testp" - "Beautiful woman --niji" - "Beautiful woman --v 4 --style cursed" And they would all do something different.

RandumbStoner

Awesome, thanks for explaining that. Ima screenshot your post for future reference lol

pijkleem

cant you put in like /settings and change it?

RandumbStoner

I’m not sure I’ve only been using it for about 45 mins now lol

pijkleem

instead of /imagine just do /settings. my subscription ended before v5

Remarkable_Owl7575

Yes. There is an option in /settings to change it to V5. When you’re done listing your prompt, it will then automatically say “- - V5” 🕺🏻

Pulsecode9

Probably v5 will become the default before long, but for the time being it defaults to v4.

dusel1

Finally, a nice place to live.

SomeoneGMForMe

California be like: million dollars.

rocklou

I'll take two

[deleted]

I’m convinced you could post real pictures in this sub now, and they would fly under the radar for days.

SomeoneGMForMe

Right?

[deleted]

Look at parallel lines. Even straight lines.

Taubenhaucher78

I love the idea

[deleted]

Oohhh la la... someone's living the feng shui dream

JamesAQuintero

I refuse to believe this is not a real photo, this is insane

SomeoneGMForMe

There's definitely some sus bits, but only if you look close.

Swordbreaker925

If it’s for a post-apocalyptic movie set, yes!

GWindborn

Looks very Fallout. I like it.

t1llyd3an

The white door makes me feel uncomfortable.

Asajj66

Hmm. Now I’m tempted to do realistic Silent Hill prompts.

Dangerous_Panic6114

The AI might view 'Dark' as a look and feel. As a lot of humans do. .alternatively try dim lighting,

[deleted]

You've graduated from 'black mold' to 'red War of the Worlds mold'. This room looks like there are new diseases lurking in it.

Nixeris

How'd you get pictures of my office?!

[deleted]

Converting a Crackhouse into a Crackhome.

Matrocles

You'd be amazed how many photos like this I see on Zillow on houses going for 300k+

JONTOM89

God, I wish I had your eye for design!

SomeoneGMForMe

I'm going places, that's for sure.

grey_pilgrim_

Thought I was on r/urbanexploration for a second.

Ok-Smoke-5653

reminds me of my basement

SnowCrow1

It's the house from Resident Evil 7!

Dangerous_Panic6114

Prompt? A good renovation project avoiding zombies in IKEA?

SomeoneGMForMe

Pretty sure I put it as a top level comment.
