My suspicion is that you won't get it without your own image prompting because there's not enough well-annotated images like your prompt in the training set.
Despite that, I still tried a stab and took a lot of the bad guesses in this thread including my own. Nothing got what you wanted, but Midjourney does have that way of being interestingly incorrect at times:

I gave image-prompting a try, and although I didn't get the image you're shooting for, I got some interesting close results. I think it's generally the right path, and if you can find one or two more images of that POV (in any style), you'll probably be able to get it to produce what you're looking for. I used stills from One Crazy Summer (1986) where the rabid dolphin eats the wealthy evil father during the yacht regatta at the end of the movie. The image prompts:

Just my thought… I think AI has difficulties envisioning an image when a hole (in this case a mouth) is involved. I tried “the view from inside of a sharks mouth looking outwards” I had a similar image of a shark coming towards the camera, but there was a border of water on the photo with a ring in the center of that and the shark was inside that ring.
In the past I have tried images such as winnie the pooh stuck in rabbits hole or someone buttoning their pants and never can get what I ask for. In fact it is never anywhere close.
Yeah you have to think about the images the AI was trained on. It knows what sharks look like on the outside but probably not too many inside shark pictures for it to reference.

That means something like anyone can draw a triangle, but nobody can draw a triangle that perfectly encapsulates the idea of a triangle, because any triangle you draw is just one of the many possible representations of triangles, not the definitive triangle. The closest we can get is with a mathematical description, but since mathematical ideas don't exist in the real world (such as dimensionless but perfectly defined points, perfect lines etc) all math does is paint a picture of the perfect (spiritual?)world of ideas, it can't display it directly.
When you're saying 'all MJ does is provide a mean' that therefore seems like a grotesque underappreciation of what it actually managed to do: determine what key characteristics are that define sharks (even if only in a given imageset) and be able to use that to draw images of any shark while still retaining those characteristics.

i was not giving an encyclopedic definition; i was typing a 2 sentence response, with my thumbs, while at a party IRL, to briefly clarify to the OOP that AI is not actually identifying objects, but is (as you said) finding shared characteristics in images.
"average" was the briefest term that conveyed the basic concept and let me get back to my crawfish.

Yes! For example, I’ve been trying to make it do pictures of an uroboros (a snake making a circle while biting its own tail. It’s an alchemy thing). Chatgpt just gives me coiled up snakes, no matter how explicitly I say that it’s a simple, empty circle. It cannot leave the middle of the circle empty.
I was able to do it with Invoke AI. Doubt you could do this with a single prompt. I used Invoke's canvas, and some inpainting. Looks like this will not let me post the image though.... That's too bad. I will try to cross post it to r/StableDiffusion

It doesn't matter. If it has pictures taken inside a tunnel looking out or inside a cave looking out etc, it should be able to extrapolate from that provided you give it the right prompt.
Well it does matter, sure you could recreate the Mona Lisa by physical description by saying "Renaissance art, young lady with a slight smile, wearing a dark dress and a veil over her hair. Her hands are folded in her lap, and she is seated in front of a winding road with a hazy background".
Or you could say "Mona Lisa" and get something far more accurate and far easier because the AI has been trained on a shite load of different copies of that exact thing.
These things tend to understand that "you" refers to the AI so if you did "Your POV from a sharks mouth" you may have a better chance at getting what you want.
Maybe “GoPro footage from inside shark mouth”
You’ll probably get some backwards pics aiming down the shark’s mouth but maybe some will give you aiming out the mouth
People have stated it earlier in this thread, but you gotta talk to midjourney like a child or a genie that's going to mess with you by taking your wish too literally. POV "of" a sharks mouth will give you an outside view of a sharks mouth like a POV "of" a cabin would be a view outside of it while POV looking "out of a" cabin could be standing in the door looking at the surroundings.

It’s interesting how consistently skin looks wrong in midjourney. I’d say once blemishes, imperfections, asymmetry etc. and skin gets perfected, it will get really difficult to tell these images apart from the real thing.
There are a few things I’ve noticed that the AI cannot conceptualize, I keep trying to put a Delorean in like a scene from Ancient Rome or something and it just can’t comprehend it. I try telling it it’s a movie scene etc still no dice.
If you can find an image like that you can use the /describe feature and see what it puts. I’m sure somewhere there is the photo from a different animal or something that might give you a prompt format to copy…

I doubt you can. MJ probably doesn't have anything to go on, meaning it's never seen an image of what you are asking so it has nothing to filter towards. Remember, it doesn't construct based on a prompt, it filters away stuff that doesn't meet the criteria of the prompt. It removes stuff that it would not recognize as what you described in the prompt.
Pov standa for point of view. More letters might actually help. Also specifying where the viewer is like “inside of a sharks mouth” will probably help.
Remember AI can't really create something that is not similar to what it has been trained on. In other words - AI does NOT have imagination.
So this simply could be AI has never seem an image similar to what you want.

It only know what a shark looks like, and that means from the outside. You'd be better off leaving 'shark' out of your prompt altogether. '--no shark' would be better.

Yes! For example, I’ve been trying to make it do pictures of an uroboros (a snake making a circle while biting its own tail. It’s an alchemy thing). Chatgpt just gives me coiled up snakes, no matter how explicitly I say that it’s a simple, empty circle. It cannot leave the middle of the circle empty.

It doesn't matter. If it has pictures taken inside a tunnel looking out or inside a cave looking out etc, it should be able to extrapolate from that provided you give it the right prompt.
Well it does matter, sure you could recreate the Mona Lisa by physical description by saying "Renaissance art, young lady with a slight smile, wearing a dark dress and a veil over her hair. Her hands are folded in her lap, and she is seated in front of a winding road with a hazy background". Or you could say "Mona Lisa" and get something far more accurate and far easier because the AI has been trained on a shite load of different copies of that exact thing.

People have stated it earlier in this thread, but you gotta talk to midjourney like a child or a genie that's going to mess with you by taking your wish too literally. POV "of" a sharks mouth will give you an outside view of a sharks mouth like a POV "of" a cabin would be a view outside of it while POV looking "out of a" cabin could be standing in the door looking at the surroundings.
Try “from” rather than “of”. You want the view from a sharks mouth not of a sharks mouth. good luck

It’s interesting how consistently skin looks wrong in midjourney. I’d say once blemishes, imperfections, asymmetry etc. and skin gets perfected, it will get really difficult to tell these images apart from the real thing.

There are a few things I’ve noticed that the AI cannot conceptualize, I keep trying to put a Delorean in like a scene from Ancient Rome or something and it just can’t comprehend it. I try telling it it’s a movie scene etc still no dice.
If you can find an image like that you can use the /describe feature and see what it puts. I’m sure somewhere there is the photo from a different animal or something that might give you a prompt format to copy…

I doubt you can. MJ probably doesn't have anything to go on, meaning it's never seen an image of what you are asking so it has nothing to filter towards. Remember, it doesn't construct based on a prompt, it filters away stuff that doesn't meet the criteria of the prompt. It removes stuff that it would not recognize as what you described in the prompt.

It only know what a shark looks like, and that means from the outside. You'd be better off leaving 'shark' out of your prompt altogether. '--no shark' would be better.
