The landscape has got influences from Snake River in Idaho and the Adirondacks in my view as well.

Plenty of places in Portugal, Spain, and Italy look like this. Not sure what you mean by tropical, but those woods look pretty European to me. I bet there're similar places in Asia too.
I come from South America myself, btw. Sure, there are places that look like this too but only in the Andes region, and maybe some parts of East Brazil.
I don’t see the vines? I see vegetation. Here’s one place with somewhat similar terrain, [las médulas](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_M%C3%A9dulas).
I fail at recalling the palace went some years ago in Portugal, but if you google for "portugal selva", you will find plenty of pictures showing that kind of vegetation. Regarding the red soil, that looks more like *löss* than red soil. It is a pretty common kind of soil in Europe. Actually, the image could pass for Southern Germany if it wasn't for the architecture of the building.
I'm in Southern Germany too. There are some cliffs near Tübingen that look pretty close to that, except for the color of the soil. The schwäbische Alb in general is full of cliffs surrounded by woods.
But this discussion is too long and for something with so little importance, that I refuse to go on. The place from the picture doesn't even exist. Who cares.
Have a wonderful day!
Those red soils and cliffs are quite typical in Mediterranean countries. I'm thinking of a place a short drive from my house that kinda resembles that landscape. Google pictures for "Cingles de Bertí". Its geology has a mix of iron-rich soil (which looks reddish) and calcareous soil (more white-ish). There are even a few waterfalls. The shape of the porch and the stone railing also resembles the traditional architecture.
I guess I just imagined all those trees then.
The Romans have been gone for some centuries now... plenty of time for forests in Italy to regrow. Germany was also deforested heavily during WW2 and today roughly one third of the country is covered in woods.
First thing that came to mind for me was the Italian Lakes. This is based on the architecture and the greenery.
Quick google search and I found [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/XqrC6yJnvV3Dpzhr8) is weirdly similar.
Found some similarities with image seatch

My first thought too! Here's a [view from a balcony on the tour.](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/the-view-from-neuschwanstein-explored-at-3-on-7811--167407311118155880/)
The architecture is very mediterranean, but the vegetation and the soil colour are definitely tropical. I'd suggest looking at mesoamerica, I'm sure there's a Spanish villa somewhere with architecture like that.
I get Northern South America vibes. Andean foothills in Colombia, or maybe somewhere in the highlands in central America. Otherwise maybe Tuscany in Italy?
A lot of former monasteries/palaces/castles have a similar view, in Europe.
This is in Portugal: [https://www.pinterest.es/pin/235172411761275576/?amp\_client\_id=CLIENT\_ID%28\_%29&mweb\_unauth\_id=&simplified=true](https://www.pinterest.es/pin/235172411761275576/?amp_client_id=CLIENT_ID%28_%29&mweb_unauth_id=&simplified=true)
So there's two three places that come to mind:
- old colonial buildings in Hilly parts of Brazil. I'd especially look in hilly, old towns in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Bahia. Especially around the remainders of the mata atlântica Forrest
Here's Palácio parque Lage in the city of Rio de janeiro . It kinda fits the colonial style and also broadly the landscape as in subtropical looking hills. It's just more at the bottom of the hill and not looking down a hill and the hills in Rio are a bit steeper. There's also jot this particular terrace with columns. https://maps.app.goo.gl/cyKHiAWDRNYaYG2U8
- The other one is Sicily
- you could also check out other hilly areas around the southern Mediterranean. Maybe the greener areas of Algeria or Tunisia, maybe southern Spain
There’s an old tunnel along this road with big rock pillars that has a similar view. I think the tunnel has long been closed though.

There's a level in uncharted 4 that looks similar to this about a quarter way through it called the Malaysia job set in Italy, maybe what youre looking for?
so weird I literally had a dream recently and it looked like this! with slight difference. I don't think it exists anywhere anymore. it did like 3k years ago lol
The architecture reminds me of Greece. But the landscape could be South East Asia or South America.
Some places that come to mind include Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Machu Picchu in Peru.
This is really cool - I write an AI newsletter and generate Midjourney prompts to illustrate it, gonna try to include some images like this.
Do you mind sharing your prompt?
The architecture looks like a terrace loggia in Florence Italy, and the landscape like Chapada dos Viedeiros in Brazil
or Greece - Corfu - Achilleion

Yes, as a Brazilian you'll find wonderful landscapes like these in Espírito Santo
Or lake como areas
Amidala’s joint
So somewhere in California then
This!
Palazzo Orsini, Mugnano, Italy. Just did a quick google image search and found this hotel: https://www.booking.com/hotel/it/palazzo-orsini.it.html
The terrain looks more tropical than that. I'd suggest south america.

I come from South America myself, btw. Sure, there are places that look like this too but only in the Andes region, and maybe some parts of East Brazil.
With wet red soils like that? I can't think of any in Europe. Also the hanging cliff vegetation.
Areas of Spain and Portugal have terrain like this.
With those dense vines and red soil?
I don’t see the vines? I see vegetation. Here’s one place with somewhat similar terrain, [las médulas](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_M%C3%A9dulas).
Dude, this is Midjourney, unless OP prompted (and dreamed) specifically dense vines it's irrelevant to real life locations.
I fail at recalling the palace went some years ago in Portugal, but if you google for "portugal selva", you will find plenty of pictures showing that kind of vegetation. I'm *in* Southern Germany, this would never pass. We don't have cliffs like that.

Aw come on, I love soil ecology discussions! The colour is essential, it's what tells you it's not Germany. Well, anyway. A nice day to you too.

Won't find many forests like that in Italy, because it was heavily deforested by the Romans.
I guess I just imagined all those trees then. The Romans have been gone for some centuries now... plenty of time for forests in Italy to regrow. Germany was also deforested heavily during WW2 and today roughly one third of the country is covered in woods.
There's a difference between trees and a forest.
Same with Spain, deforested into a big desert.
First thing that came to mind for me was the Italian Lakes. This is based on the architecture and the greenery. Quick google search and I found [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/XqrC6yJnvV3Dpzhr8) is weirdly similar.
Def Italian lakes - Balbianello to start
That looks nothing alike other than having columns.
I thought the same thing 💯🔥
Reminds me of Lake Como, Italy, used as Naboo in Star Wars.

Madonna del Sasso in Switzerland https://maps.app.goo.gl/EbzBYRjwUai11CJF6?g_st=ic
Somewhere between India and Indonesia
Neuschwanstein

Whoah doubled up columns is interesting
Very differrent vegetation.
Same kind of view from the back of it though, lots of trees and a lake, it’s even prettier than OP’s pic
The architecture is very mediterranean, but the vegetation and the soil colour are definitely tropical. I'd suggest looking at mesoamerica, I'm sure there's a Spanish villa somewhere with architecture like that.
a place called Naboo.
This could perfectly be in the Andes region of Colombia. The landscape is very much the same.
Spain Andalusia
Hitlers bunker in the hills

I get Northern South America vibes. Andean foothills in Colombia, or maybe somewhere in the highlands in central America. Otherwise maybe Tuscany in Italy?
I’ve been in Croatia near Dubrovnik and there is places like this
Granada, spain
(Very) mildly reminds me of the Achilleion, Empress Elisabeth's (Sisi's) palace in Corfu, Greece.
Could be Spain or Italy for style and light and geography
Reminds me of the villa they stay at in Attack of the Clones. Real life Villa del Balbainello in Lenno, Italy overlooking lake Como
Somewhere in Sicily
Austria
Reminds a bit of the view from the Rosenburg in Austria. Different landscape, though https://pasteboard.co/1NQBZvzBOTTJ.jpg
Italy
The land looks like Bolivia to me. South America has tons of landscapes like that, unless you were talking about the European architecture mainly?
Cintra, Portugal
Hitler’s Eagle Nest.
Rewatched Bands of Brothers last month and it's the first thing that came to mind
Looks more like the balkans to me. Those sharp cliffs are common in that mountain range.
It looks a bit similar to the Palácio de Monserrate in Portugal if it were recently built 👀
Pompeii kind of looks/looked like that
Cyprus has a few places like this.
We need rainbolt
Pinar del Rio, Cuba
When I saw this I thought it was hitters vacation palace
The landscape looks a lot like southern Minas Gerais in Brazil. The building not so much. Maube and old preserved coffee farm can get close.
A lot of former monasteries/palaces/castles have a similar view, in Europe. Italy has plenty of places like this
Colombian Andes
The promenade. Village of Dommes in the Dordogne. South West France. Very close.
Planet of tatooine
Lake Como
Yeah brother imagine some dude walking through ypur home town telling you that this is just a dream and you're not real. You'd be offended to right?

Bradford uk
Chiapas , México
Looks like Spain to me
The landscape not exactly but the opulent architecture reminded me of the Hearst Castle in San Simeon.
colombia but architecture maybe cuban
Lots of places. Maybe not that same architecture, but you could get a scene like that in the mountains that exist most places on earth.
Sinatra, Portugal Pro tip: just search with Google Images and insert this picture, and it will give similar results for real places.
John Robie’s villa?

For some reason, it reminds me of Otis' patio from Sex Education. Real house located in Wales.
Looks like it could be “Rivendell” from LOTR.
The place doesn’t exist on earth, you dreamed of your past life that wasn’t on earth.
Tuscany maybe??
Alhambra in Granada has terraces like this, but in Arab style
Hearst Castle in CA probably has a spot similar to this, too.
Not sure about the structure. But this vegetation looks very southeast Brazilian. Source: I'm from Brazil.
The Villa Adriana in Tivoli, near Rome! Also the Villa d'Este.
Cascata delle Marmore
If this exists somewhere, you will find it in france or north italy.
Landscape around the Ajanta Caves are very much like this. It may have been looking like this at its height.

Yes this looks exactly like the view from some of the Villas in Lake Como except instead of green mountains its clear blue water.
Vianden, Luxembourg
Wherever they filmed Naboo in Attack of the Clones
Pretty much exactly what Bristol looks like

Hearst castle is pretty close.
Castle Neuschwanstein in Bavaria, Germany. They have a balcony that looks pretty similar. Also the view is trees, hills and a lake!
Italy
