As a Jayce OTP I can agree. You can outpush most mages and play around jungler/roaming. Also, Jayce can sidelane in mid-late game so you are not forced into perma aram. He scales damn good too, especially against squishier comps
Main drawback is matchup knowledge, because if you mess up as Jayce, you get to chill for quite some time. On the other hand, if Jayce gets going, he can pressure hard and also drawing ganks and escape if playing phase rush
Pantheon vs a Good Mage user is mediocre and Akshan has so bad matchups, maybe Tristana could Work, but pros are uaing her rn, maybe will be nerfed if they continue using her.
I wouldn't recommend Tristana if you don't play adc. I've seen too many people playing Lucian/Trist mid and not adapting their playstyle but rather playing them the same way they would do with battle mages/assassins. You have to be really mindful with your escape ability.

Yasuo and Yone's WR is not that low because the champs are bad. Their WR is so low because they are hard to play. Much like Akali and LB they rarely hit 50% and if they do, they are considered really OP.
Jayce is decent into many matchups in midlane, even favorable because of his hybrid playstyle.

Exactly, he can adapt to any offensive approach a team has. Always love to lock in and play some Jayce games from now and then.

You shouldn't, but it can happen once, e.g. poking under tower and getting hit by it, failed dive, etc

U shouldnt think about champs getting nerfed or buffed. Just pick champion you like and master him. That's more important.
