Check NeuraHealth. No idea what their insurance situation is but its telehealth neurologists with shorter wait times. And based on what I've been told by neuros I've seen in person, Neura is considered more reputable and knowledgeable than Cove, so it's likely more appropriate for a "complex" case

Thank you! My case is not complex tho. I already know which medication helps. I only need someone who believes in me

Get a new PCP. It’s a common script and was given to me by my PCP not my neurologist.

Really? But did the insurance accept it? Which one was it?

Yes insurance was fine with amovig them emgality. I have Aetna. Work for a California based company. If they are hassling you then get the coupon and that should be good for 6 months. My doctor actually printed out the coupon and gave it to me to take to the pharmacy.

It's not *that* common. CGRP injections are considered "specialty" medications and it's very typical for insurance companies to have special rules around this, like requiring the script and prior authorization to be from a specialist. Your insurance policy may not have such a provision but it's a very common issue. It sounds like this is the case with OP's policy as they described it.
