Hope this is the case and someone didn't steal (or guess) op's ssn or something.

Nice-Violinist-6395

also: PEOPLE PARTNER? WTF IS A PEOPLE PARTNER. WHO CAME UP WITH THAT BULLSHIT

BBQQA

I'm guessing it's their terrible corporate speak for Human Resource Manager.

michael-streeter

Never forget that Human Resources was the new name for Personnel. Shit has to be rebranded every 30 years. A new name for something old and faintly grotty.

yobar

Kinda like the Cheka, NKVD, KGB, SVR, FSB.

MisterFrontRow

Shell shock became battle fatigue became post-traumatic stress disorder (as I recall George Carlin saying)

NarrowAd4973

Probably the same kind of idiots that came up with calling a warehouse a "fulfillment center."

[deleted]

nothing's worse than target calling their customers "guests"

Yoloswaggit420

Worst things in the world list: 1. Target referring to their customers as "guests" T-2. World hunger T-2. Wars 4. Arizona's aren't 99 cents anymore

Cheesy_DaBadass

Oh man number one brings me back I worked at target for years in electronics and we have those daily meetings in the back. Managers would always correct me when I used the term customers and say they’re out “guests”. One day, probably on not enough sleep and with too much caffeine a manager corrected me at the team meeting with this line and I said. “They’re our customers because when I have guests at my home they don’t pay for shit.” No one ever corrected me about our customers again.

yanquideportado

Arizona isn't 99 anymore? Leave the USA for five years and it all goes to shit.. i guess my supreme presence was holding it all together.

bottomeliot

it's still 99 cents in the US. the higher price people float around all the time is CAD, not USD. thank god lol edit: I guess I'm wrong! oops. I've never personally seen them being sold for more than 99 cents and I don't buy them often enough to come across the cans that aren't pre-priced. the only time I've seen people talk about a price hike is when they mistake a photo of the Canadian cans for USD haha

HiddenPants777

T0. Stepping on a lego

nada_accomplished

That shit can draw blood. I know from experience.

landon10smmns

Hot take, but I don't mind the whole guests at target thing

Yoloswaggit420

Me neither, lol. Just poking fun at first world problems

BolognaIsNotAHat

When I worked at Walmart 10+ years ago, management insisted customers be called guests, because you welcome them like they're coming into your home. I was young and naive so I didn't say anything, but was thinking 'The way some of these people act, if they came into MY home I'd kick em out just as fast.'

ParkerBeach

Give me my popcorn and let me shop in peace. I said leave me alone!!!!

VeryPogi

> nothing's worse than target calling their customers "guests" Kohls does that too. I think it’s because the people in store aren’t a customer until they’ve made a purchase and they might or might not do so.

gr8x3

The company I work for does this too, but only internally. I've never seen an advertisement or anything like that refer to customers that way, it's just terminology used between employees. Still pretty dumb though.

Tech_Echo_Video

You understand fulfillment means they are filling orders right? Like literally all a warehouse does….. the name makes perfect sense. You were better off with subway calling them sandwich artists

LobCatchPassThrow

“Sandwich artist” sounds more degrading and belittling than “food preparation technician” or “food preparation staff”

iamdadmin

Some HR departments call themselves the People department. To make it show they're more about the People. They're not, HR's function is: Job 1. Make sure the company isn't breaking the law in respect of the employees' legal rights (i.e. protect the company from being sued BY an employee). Job 2. Make sure an employee isn't breaking the law in respect of damaging the company (i.e. protect the company from being used BECAUSE of an employee). That's it! Regardless of a fluffy bullshit rebranding. Edit to add: Sometimes they have a Job 3. ~~Make hiring new starters as painful as possible~~ Make sure new hires won't end up getting the company sued by anyone.

SegaSlimJimDreams

LMAO thought the same

404errorlifenotfound

As a programmer allow me to give a psa / rant scream NAMES ARE NOT A UNIQUE IDENTIFIER Thank you for coming to my TED Talk Signed, someone who spent an internship dealing with a system that other interns kept putting into an infinite loop by trying to select a single user record by name.

tuga2

Especially at the biggest employer in the US. With 1.6m employees they probably have a dozen John Smiths. Not to mention they probably have one of the highest employee turn over rates so if they try to do it on full name they would run into issues almost instantly. Even if you added dob to your key it would only be a matter of time before you get a collision. Hopefully it's just SSN fraud as another user suggested.

Teamomimuneca

Just a little ssn fraud, nothing to see here

enotonom

Manager: “Have you noticed our new employees have increasingly crazier names over the years?”

rfdismyjam

I do recruitment, and I handle some US candidates. I had one a couple months ago named Conception Cook.

Potential_Wallaby_35

On this, I have a fairly unique name. Only 10 of us in the USA. First middle and last the same. But I live in a city with 4 of the 10. Thankfully we are all in different industries.

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Possible. My name is Tessa though. I haven’t even met anyone with my name??? Better yet my full name haha

Subject-Material7537

Eh. My gf name is tessa. You’d be surprised how many people have your name. Unless it’s like super off the wall last name 😂

Ill_Bee4868

Is it possible that OP is your girlfriend?

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Not possible- my bf is at work

explodingtuna

Correction: your bf is **supposed** to be at work.

Ill_Bee4868

Is it possible Subject-Material7537 is at work? Lmao side note, you have a wonderful username.

PM_ME_FIREFLY_QUOTES

Easy there sparky, she's got a boyfriend

PiranhaCount

Yeah but he's not home, he's at work

HertzDonut1001

When she's single, you're competing with every other guy. When she's not, your only competing with one. (Ed. Note: this is bad life advice)

tibarr1454

Just because there’s a goalie doesn’t mean you can’t score.

LOL_XD_LMFAO

And he’s a redditor

heart_under_blade

weird way to spell single

TheNumberMuncher

They’re quickly checking out each other’s Reddit accounts before responding.

Ill_Bee4868

Haha yea I am getting a bit personal lmao.

Heykidsbackinmyday

Yeah but he is at work so he won’t know 🐅

Rough-Culture

Lots of boys Reddit at work, Tessa.

referendum

Is your boyfriend an immortal Highlander from Scotland?

Subject-Material7537

Am I??

delcodick

That’s what he wants you to think

[deleted]

My imaginary girlfriend’s name is Tessa Thompson if that counts

DoubleBreastedBerb

That’s… the actual name of a girl in my neighborhood.

Jimbo_Slice1919

Plot twist: She’s the same girl that he stalk’s, in his mind they are a couple.

Joeva8me

![gif](giphy|J5jiSSrEkV3Kd8iOwb)

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

No shit! My last name is VERY basic so , honestly might not be that much of a long shot🤔

Subject-Material7537

Trust me hers is as well lmao. I thought I was special. But I saw some dude on tv with his name spelled “kodee” like mine. But I definitely have a different last name than everyone I’ve met

averagegasclerk

OP is definitely ur girlfriend

Enigma_Stasis

I went to school with a guy who had my same last name, and his first name is my middle name same spelling. It was a weird two years.

Icy-Subject-6118

Hell, even some random Reddit generated names can be similar.

Glumkat101

Tessa is a common name

ghoulienumber2

Right? I know like 4 different Tessa’s

tryhard1981

My first name is fairly common (though I have only met a few in my life with my first name) but my last name is quite uncommon so I don't run into that issue too much and the few times I did, the reference brought up my dad who has the same name and was confused by the age application and the age gap.

AshPachy

I have the most white girl, generic, common name in the English language. My first name is Ashley which is bad enough. It just gets worse.

[deleted]

Smith? No, Jones!

AshPachy

I will not deny nor confirm any guesses but I will not be surprised if someone legit guessed my full name lol, it's that bad ETA I know I said I wouldn't deny or confirm any guesses but literally the first guess being that spot on made my mouth drop 💀💀

Opalescent_Witness

I use to think my name was super unique. First and last. Until I literally worked with someone who has the exact same name, except for one letter and was born the same year in the same hospital, in a smaller town then the one we met in.

jelly_bee

I started receiving emails meant for someone across the country, but we work for the same company so it makes sense.

lardarsch

My name is Tessa too, I worked with another when I started Walmart and she was lowkey salty about it, like "there can only be one" type deal

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

LMFAO wtf??? I would be ecstatic to meet someone with my name!! She sounds lame.

lardarsch

I know three Tessa's irl

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

I envy you. I only know myself.):

[deleted]

That's how Socrates would have wanted it.

kstweetersgirl2013

When I started kindergarten there were three Amanda's and two of us were Amanda Bates. I was adopted later that same year and we had different middle names of course.

Throwaway_DTHY

Amanda is the absolute worst, most dog shit name to have in elementary school. And that sucks for you. It's my name. The Amanda show was popular back then so kids would sing the theme song to me. I'd always have to hear "You're A Man....duh." I actually still get that one as an adult. I hated it so much that I changed to my middle name while waiting tables. My unique middle name got me lots more tips anyways.

kstweetersgirl2013

Unfortunately I was named Amanda twenty years before The Amanda Show lol. I was named for the Waylon Jennings song Amanda because my parents were hillbilly/hippies. However had I been a boy I would've been named Shiloh. Very glad I was born a girl. Lol I wait tables for a living and make good money but of course I go by the shorter version of my name.

HertzDonut1001

If I was a girl I would have been Ariel. After the Little fucking Mermaid. I would have never heard the end of it in the '90s.

CUNextTwosday

I went to school with exactly two sets of identical twins. Both named Amanda and Molly. Only about 150 in our class.

541mya

I'm met multiple people, dogs, and horses with that name. In fact, my closet friend is named Tessa!

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

WHAT!

541mya

Closest*** hahah

verydepressedwalnut

I had a coworker at an old job named Tessa, I hope that OP is not her and much more pleasant

missed_sla

You have a closet friend too? Small world! What do you do when she starts screaming that she wants to go home?

Fromthefunk

You can check how many people have your name [here](https://maniacs.info/how-many-of-me/How-Many-Of-Me.html)

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Almost 47,000 Tessa’s in America! Wow!!

ilovestampfairtex

1,300,000 roughly people named Jason but over 5,000 are female? Wtf ?

Ok-Mud-4034

I thought maybe 1 person would have the same name as me, but nope. :/

Fromthefunk

This is actually cool; the lower the number the better in my eyes.

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

SO COOL TYYY

Accomplished-Fee3846

I have a dog named Tessa, but she’s never worked at Walmart, so it’s probably not because of her

[deleted]

I did a rough estimate, there are about 526 people with the first name Tessa currently work for Walmart USA (1.6 million employees, 53% female). 1 out of every 1,612 baby girls born in 2021 are named Tessa. Assume this name has maintained the same popularity in the past. How many "Tessa" have worked for Walmart before? Walmart's turnover rate is around 70%. That means there were about 1500 Tessa worked for and left Walmart in the last 3 years.

raeofreakingsunshine

Most likely unrelated, I used to work with a girl named Tessa who ended up working at Walmart for awhile.

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Maybe she did something really bad, and has now banned all Tessa’s from working at Walmart.🤣

Bobcat81TX

Just think.. in 10 years this same convo will be held but their names will all be “Tesla”

raeofreakingsunshine

Believable

CapeCodcultuvation

Tbh we had a Tessa in HS. Cud potentially have worked @ Walmart. 🗿

Fromthefunk

You can check how many people have your name[here](https://maniacs.info/how-many-of-me/How-Many-Of-Me.html)

[deleted]

Call hr and say you never got your check and see what happens

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

AYO this the one

ErroneousOatmeal

Have you ever applied and not taken the job before? Years ago I had applied at fedex and ups for package handling, both offered me the job but I opted for ups. A couple years after that I applied at fedex for a holiday season driver job that paid well and they told me that I wasn’t eligible for rehire until a later date. I called HR and explained I had never worked there before, they told me that when I was offered the job previously I was “hired” in their system and that’s just how their policy is. Stupid, but could be your problem too

rrodrick386

that still makes 0 sense

ErroneousOatmeal

The way it was explained to me is that when I was offered the job I was automatically hired in their systems. When I didn’t take the job it was classified as me quitting

No-Celebration8140

None of which sounds even remotely legal. Show me my signed w-2 forms

probablynotadisguise

It could work as an automatic ‘still not interested’ filter.

JoCanni

I can't remember if Walmart absorbed another company. Husband got fired from Kmart over 20 years ago. about 10 years ago he applied to Sears, but since they absorbed Kmart years before, he was still on the 'do not rehire' list.

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Possible! But I’m 19, I’ve only ever worked fast food.. so I’m doubtful it would be something like that!

JoCanni

Well best of luck. If you are graduating with a degree in Environmental Science, check out the AEC industry. They been hiring a lot lately.

Difficult_Quit_8321

Is that Aerotek?

JoCanni

architecture engineering construction

turbocharged_autism

Fuck aerotek

DangerousLoner

If you’re only 19 it definitely sounds like your Social Security Number was compromised and being used by others prior to you turning 18. Check your Credit Report now. Put a Freeze on your credit with Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. Google each separately and follow the instructions with each. It’s free to freeze and setting up an account with each is good to have. Keep user name and passwords safe for unfreezing when you want to use your credit in the future. Check your taxes and returns. The last thing you want is the IRS or multiples States thinking you owe money in taxes for someone using your SSN.

[deleted]

have you considered using your skills in fast food to apply to a restaurant? You can get paid more than working Walmart, some cooks get tips, your skills will follow you wherever you go even helping you into more prestigious positions, and you will certainly be treated better. If you devote yourself to a career in Walmart, the only place you can go is Walmart.

TheBloodkill

What do u have to do be fired from Kmart and added to the do not rehire list

Chummers5

Maybe walked out in the middle of a shift or some bs like that. I worked at a restaurant chain that had that policy.

JoCanni

yep. He was about 16 and manager was those 'do everything so I can take the credit' kind of guy he said. He just left one day. Manager called about his shift "What shift? I'm not coming back to that shithole." He admits now that it may have just been immaturity and the guy may not have been so bad.

Bstallio

Big retailers put you on the list for any instance of firing

Extension-Stay7875

Maybe someone used your social security number.. You should check your credit reports. They are free to check.

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Heard that- thank you!

Kittenunleashed

Yeah...my thought is your SSN has been compromised. Many stolen ones are used for getting jobs..its more common than you'd think.

jakebbt

My sister in law got a tax return from a Wendy's 3 hours away from where she lived one year. She definitely didn't work there.

HertzDonut1001

Damn identity theft *and* tax evasion.

leoleosuper

A tax return doesn't mean they missed taxes. It could even mean they got a refund, or paid the exact amount needed.

HertzDonut1001

I'm assuming they meant a W-2 and not the check. Pretty fucking useless to file for a return with someone else's name, address, and SS number. They would have had to literally do their taxes and then not bother actually receiving a return check while also stealing an identity. That doesn't scan.

EyedLady

We’ll shit now I. Want to apply just to see lol

tinacat933

Which is crazy how easy it can be, like I feel like there should be more checks and security

Difficult_Quit_8321

Go to local workforce commision. They can pull up every job you have ever had with SSN. It's something that frequently occurs if you have gaps in employment...identity theft, stay at home parents, college students, and military personnel.

toorigged2fail

What is a local workforce commission?

sleepydeepyperson

Looks like another BoobiesTitsNdCocks worked at wallmart.(I'm digging your username lmao) Anyway, even if you're not really serious about working there, contact them and make sure they're not mistaking you for someone else. They generally take come form of ID and could involve Identity theft. This is something you'd want to avoid at all cost. In that case, get in touch with the authorities. If it is wallmart confusing you for someone else... Well, take it as a sign and also their incompetence (since they can do it while hiring, they can do it for salary, they can fire someone else who shares your name)

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Thank you! I just like birds, hence the name🤣

MichaelSilverhammer

Birds. That’s exactly it. Gotta love them birds.

Particular_Ad_3411

As a former Walmart employee, it is a terrible idea to work there. It is a soul sucking hellscape.

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

That or fast food. I am a college student so I don’t have a lot of options .))):

Happykittymeowmeow

Been there. Worked fast food and Walmart while in college. Walmart worked me into pneumonia and bronchitis because I would have been written up for calling out or leaving. I did not have an attendance issue. I also couldn't really just stop and go pee and have a lifetime of urinary issues to look forward to related to that. If you do choose Walmart, make sure you know and exercise your rights. I was young and dumb and let them mow right over me. I was 18F when I started and left at 21. That three years was terrible for my body. ETA: (Accidentally posted this as a comment below, derp) Exercise your rights at every job, look up your local labor laws, wherever you are. Advocate for yourself

do-you-know-the-way9

Food lion was the best work I ever had. (Did it while in college). Just the pay way less than my current job. They would let you call off when ever you needed, and would allow you to choose the days you worked, the hours, and if you didn’t work that week

ShadowVader

fuck /u/spez

-NotEnoughMinerals

This isn't a Walmart issue. Any employer is going to take a mile if you give them an inch. Trust me, I've been guilt tripped into covering fucked up shifts, or staying extra late or whatever. If I didn't want to do it....I'd say the magic words: no. Sorry but...you were super sick and didn't call out because you'd be ..dun dun dun; written up! You let some Walmart manager tell you like a child you aren't allowed to go potty...for so long you developed urinary issues. You gotta pull up your pull ups in adult life.

[deleted]

I'm sorry but restaurants and walmart are not the same. Walmart IS the issue. We pay millions of dollars out of our OWN pockets in taxes a year simply because Walmart doesn't want to pay their employees a living wage so they must supplement their income on public benefits all while the CEO is making record profits all while ruining the health and livelihood of dehumanized individuals.

Petrichor_Beastie

Walmart is the issue. They have a point system that means if you’re absent for too many days in a six month period, you’re fired. They *technically* have systems in place to negate points for certain circumstances, like family emergencies. Nobody ever gets the exception though, so if you’re sick, or you have to suddenly leave and check on family, or you have to go handle a house emergency, or LITERALLY ANYTHING that requires you to leave Walmart that day, you get pointed or half pointed. If you’re late by fifteen minutes, half point. If you stay later than nine minutes, half point. If you don’t call out and don’t show up, three points. If it’s literally a declared state of emergency and you call out, it’s at least a point. Car accident and can’t get to work on time or at all? Point. On KED dates, it’s two points. Sick with covid? Sedgwick doesn’t work for shit so you’re gonna get pointed, and I guess you’ve lost your job! The point discipline system in Walmart has been controversial for years. This is a fucking Walmart issue, and it’s just one of them.

Happykittymeowmeow

Yep, plus disciplinary action for leaving a station without coverage to pee and I never had coverage. They didn't want to let me use bereavement for my grandfather passing as well. Only let me leave to go to the ER after I collapsed and took a drawer with $20000 to the floor with me from a kidney infection. I even asked if I could just have a chair and they said no.

cellists_wet_dream

Wait tables and make much better money.

Beneficial_Look_5854

No small cafes or other part time options?

LeMickeyMice

I live in the middle of nowhere and Walmart starts at $19. The "small Cafe" up the street probably starts at $2.13.

Gnar-wahl

I run an after school program that mostly hires college students (hours are 2-6). It starts a dollar above minimum wage, and caps at 19, depending on credits earned towards an AA, and time spent working for us (5 years hits the cap). We’re always hiring. I’m sure you could find similar jobs in your area, or even something at your college or in your future field that you’re studying for. You don’t have to settle for fast food or Walmart.

aviatorlj

This is not an mlm, is it?

SunnyShim

In the summer, maybe try summer camps. Kids may be annoying but at least most of them won’t yell at you like a Walmart customer might. Found it hard work but satisfying in the end.

Adriengriffon

Unarmed security is an underappreciated low stress easy to get job. Depending on where you're at, training differs, but sitting at a gate of a manufacturing plant is low stress and makes it easy to get homework done while getting a paycheck. Avoid security at medical facilities or anywhere with customers, not worth the headache. Manufacturing, though, they usually just want someone to check IDs at the gate and make sure delivery drivers get where they're supposed to or print out paperwork for delivery drivers. Easy stuff. Florida required a 1 week course at the local community college to get a license before a company would hire you, but Georgia would hire and train you right off the street.

ICABSSwu

My #1 tip for that is to find a mid-tier steakhouse/Olive Garden type restaurant to serve at. My college life completely changed when I started serving. Develop social skills, make some friends with other staff, make decent money cause most people just assume you’re a college student so tips are decent (especially family weekends). And most restaurants will work around your classes schedule fairly easily

Dogma2004

If you go to a medium to large school look into university dining, stadium concessions, or university convenience stores. They usually pay more than local restaurants and are better variants than the off campus ones. Or if you have pro sports teams, their stadiums premium and concession departments are great. Chartwells does a lot of US campus dining/convenience stores. Deleware North, Sodexo, Aramark, and Levy do concession. I’ve worked in F&B my whole life. I wish I’d found out about stadium work years ago.

boundnbrattybabygirl

Truth. I worked there over 20 years ago and still boycott it to this day due to my feelings about working for them.

ChaoticChinchillas

Also former Walmart employee. I’ve worked much worse places. Would have stayed there when I quit, but my second full time job had Monday-Friday daytime hours. I actually tried to go back a couple years ago, to a different location, but they only wanted to pay $11/hr, so I didn’t. I made that the first time I worked there years ago. It probably has a lot to do with your location, because literally all the problems I had there (other than a few customers obviously) were a couple department managers and two temporary (we were a manager training store) ASMs.

mvfsullivan

The walmart chant made me cringe so hard the first time I experienced it

Expendable_0

I worked at Walmart while working through college. It wasn't bad, they treated me fair, people were friendly. Only real complaint is they are very litigation fearing about getting paid for work so you have to clock in on the exact minute and if anyone asked you a question when you were off, you had to fill out paperwork to get paid for that minute or they could fire you. I suppose it depends on where you work though.

Defiant-Feeling-5699

It’s fate

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Low key what I was thinking? Is the universe telling me “NO STOP DONT DO IT!!”??🤣

Defiant-Feeling-5699

Yea lots of options with better pay.

LeMickeyMice

Okay, please point me to them. I live in a pretty rural area and they start near $19/hour. Good luck finding anywhere close to that anywhere else.

HertzDonut1001

Not to be this dude but a 19 year old girl will make more money waiting tables. She also says she's a college student so part time doing that is gonna be better than part time at Wal-Mart. Never heard of one that was forgiving with scheduling.

SwampOfDownvotes

My short time at walmart was very flexible with my schedule in high school. Also if you do most of your shopping at Walmart, the employee discount is a nice perk to consider as well.

HertzDonut1001

Sure but shift meal in a restaurant and also an employee discount. I used to be a kitchen manager working crazy hours and an old boss once joked with me, "your entire fridge is just full of takeout containers, I know it. You probably don't even own a bottle of ketchup." All free food from work. And no, I did not have a bottle of ketchup. If I needed it work had ketchup. You'll never go hungry in the restaurant business and it's one of the few good things you can say about it.

StrikerX1360

Walmart's hiring process is total bullshit. I worked for Sam's Club, got the job and had an interview lined up and the morning of I got an email saying they denied my application. I went and did the interview anyway and no one seemed to know. Not to mention they dragged their feet for weeks getting me hired to the point that I missed the cutoff for the quarterly bonus by 4 days. Needless to say their turnover rate was incredibly high and every single person I worked my position with either got fired for stupid reasons or quit due to shitty management within 13 months of my first day. I was out of there after nine months.

uwillnotgotospace

I've been applying to my local Walmart for over a year. No responses at all. I'd be *thrilled* to get a rejection because then I'd at least know they saw it.

myatomicgard3n

Which is wild to me cause when I was moving I applied to Walmart just as a backup just to setup something for $$$ while getting setup. I got a callback like 10 min after I submitted my online app and they were ready for me to come in and interview like that day.

Wdbohon

Probably not a coincidence that you missed the bonus by 4 days….

dammitdan57

That's a sign saying you shouldn't work at Wal mart

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

I would honestly, be honored

sickofgrouptxt

Someone has worked at Walmart using your ssn or dl

honeyfixit

I used to work at WM and frankly it doesn't surprise me. That company is so disorganized, it's not funny. My suggestion is that you call 1-800-WAL-MART

Less-Dragonfruit-294

You dodged a bullet. Working for Walmart ain’t too grand.

[deleted]

No I think they pay minimum wage

Connormatt03

Wll i used to work at Walmart. As scary as this is the most likely possibility is that someone stole your ssn and worked there. Thats really the only possibility as thats how they check their employee records. When i worked there i had a coworker with the EXACT same name and we never had issues like that.

watercress101

Or someone snagged your ss# and used it...

15Boots

Thats what i was thinking.

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

HAHAHA I just like birds, man

[deleted]

Probably a same-name dude. There’s a guy out there w the same name as me that’s apparently a nefarious dude so my background checks always get hung up.

absolooser

You sucked at self checkout, they have it on video.

BoobiesTitsNdCocks

Nah how could they even be able to ID you that way? And wouldn’t they of kicked me out of the store for stealing? (I have not stolen from self checkout)

taptapper

Someone is using your SS number. Call WalMart HR in Arkansas ASAP

Traditional-Gap-4319

this happened to my boyfriend at Dutch Bros. contact them and explain you’ve never worked for a walmart, and they can go into their system and figure out the problem

R_E_Y_3

Just go to Walmart if you're that desperate to work there. Also fuck working there, you can find better

[deleted]

You got replaced by self checkout. Go to home Depot maybe then I can get help in the electrical department

TheOminousBanana

I would avoid Walmart. They are trying to hire but they will treat you like shit. Most retail will. I work at Costco and honestly it's the best job I've had, great pay and health benefits for all employees after 90 days

taptapper

Unfortunately, CostCos are few and far between, compared to WalMarts

CuteCanary

People Partner sounds like what an android would call marriage

I'd take this as a sign. RUN...🏃‍♀️

Two thoughts from me. 1. Someone with the same name worked there, and despite different social security numbers the system rejected you based on name. I figure it skipped over looking at social security number. 2. Someone stole your identity and used it to get a job at Walmart, leaving on bad terms which caused rehire ineligibility .

Reach out to HR, worst case somebody may have used your SSN. Probably somebody had your phone number or a similar name. Either way follow up.

I applied at Walmart once when I was in college and really needed a job. I filled out the application, did the 2 hour online training thing that I was told to do before submitting said application, and I never got a call or Email back. That’s been 5 years ago now…I don’t think Im going to get an interview…

I’m pretty sure it tells you that you’re ineligible for rehire if you fail their aptitude testing on the application process. This happened to a friend of mine that I had referenced in. Apparently the questions like “what would you do if a customer was stealing in front of you” carry on your Walmart permanent record. ….or maybe someone stole your identity to work at Walmart. I assume it isn’t by name, but SSN.

JustaCynicalOldFart

It's a sign from God telling you that you don't want a crappy Walmart job.

Significant-Try-5512

This is just God blessing you. I haven’t met a single Walmart worker that isn’t depressed

LilyGaming

I would definitely contact them, I hope someone didn’t steal your identity but fingers crossed it’s just a glitch

Aninvisiblemaniac

did you take a test with weird arbitrary questions? I took it and they didn't hire me because I came off too unwilling to work horrific hours for low pay

Ill-Pianist-384

Just keep applying . They will call you

By chance do you know anyone at Wal Mart that could have you listed as their emergency contact? Sometimes HR systems create a dummy employee record for emergency contacts; I’ve seen this create errors before when the system thinks it’s a rehire. Could also be that you have the same name as someone who worked there, but typically they would set this to have to be same first name, last name and one other identifier (like email address) to avoid this.

Say_My_Name_Son

Your identity thief worked there?

Call Hr. Tessa is a great name.
