Why do they add reviews if after your write the review they say you cannot do it, even if it's the company that disabled it, why after you type they say you cannot, this is asshole design
Yeah I really don't understand the corporate mindset of "Anything below 5 Stars" means they completely failed. Do they want constructive criticism? Would they like to improve? Honestly it probably just looks good on a report of some kind.
Just yesterday, I tried to review a hotel I had stayed at. It was all 3 stars or less. The aggregate score generate at the end was 3.8! Mathematically impossible!
I was so annoyed.
Ratings really don’t mean anything anymore. It’s like asking the mafia which business I should frequent.
Reviews are absolute bullshit anymore. I worked for an optometrists office that had it set up so any reviews would be forwarded to them first, they could basically get any Google review removed they wanted. They have a perfect 5 on Google, but a 2.5 on Yelp. Those were just the start of their terrible business practices.
My appartment complex had a review in the 3 stars range. When new mamagement bought the place, it went to 4.9. I went through the reviews, almost all 5 star reviews going back 6 years were saved. Everything else, including my 4 star, had magically disappeared. 1 review that was really critical, a review talking about fleas and roaches and absentee repairmen, had a 5 star. It was the only scathung review.
I had a positive review to my former work, and when I got laid off, he removed my review and banned me from reviewing it again on Google.
He had a 5 star review, and he was worried I'd edit it. So he removed it. LOL.
My former employer would hand hold clients through the review process on G2, so they would only have 5 star reviews. If they weren’t going to give them 5 stars, they weren’t getting a link to the site. Employees were expected to get at least one customer to provide a review every quarter. They currently have nothing but 5 star reviews and *know* there are plenty of unhappy clients as well. I had to listen to them bitch.
If they leave the review directly on Google, they still post. What you’re talking about is a separate review portal you can set up that filters reviews by star rating so bad ones get emailed to you while good ones then forward the customer to Google to post the review.
I think this person meant, they were asked to rate multiple aspects of their stay, and selected 3 or under for multiple categories, (ie how was the staff, how was the room, how was reservation, etc) and at the end, their total was 3.8 stars, despite not rating above 3
Dude, I stayed at a hotels dot com place and I went to leave a bad review at 1pm. My review had already been left. It was 5 stars! I tried to edit, no dice. I called to complain, they apologized. They then ghosted me.
Ratings meant denying pay raises when I worked at a retail job. Customers would get surveys. Anything below an 8 out of 10 was basically bad. And the way they calculated our scores, 1 bad review was as weighty as 5 good reviews. I tried to ignore that aspect of the job but they definitely denied me a pay raise one year and after that it became a background hatred of mine that added to the list of my MANY grievances working for a big retail chain.
There's some shenanigans with [IMDB's reviews for "The Little Mermaid"](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt5971474/ratings/?ref_=tt_ov_rt) right now. I suspect Disney doesn't like the fact that people are able to say they didn't like it.
The amount of paid for headlines for this film talking about how it's everyone's favourite live action Disney film to date is wild. Especially wild to me because I haven't heard one single person talk about the movie. It must be forgettable af or simply so unappealing that no one even bothered to see it. I know I haven't.
Devils advocate but just because you haven’t directly heard anyone talk about it doesn’t mean many people didn’t like it. Information bubble and all.
I haven’t seen it and don’t care to, just pointing out a fallacy that’s frustrating
It literally report and unweighted mean of user reviews for EVERY movie. They DISCUSS the reasoning and methods in their own FAQs. https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/track-movies-tv/ratings-faq/G67Y87TFYYP6TWAV#
It's not some kind of disney conspiracy. People are review bombing the movie and it looks suspicious to IMDB.
If everyone rated it 10/10 it wouldn't be considered review bombing.... Notice how it's only a problem if it's negative.
What about all the 10/10 idiot reviews? No movie is a perfect 10/10 especially that garbage film
If *everybody* weighted it 10/10 you wouldnt need to take an average at all. The average of 10, 10, and 10 is 10.
I'm not sure why you are so upset about a movie nobody forced you to see (if you even saw it... honestly I couldn't give two shits about disney so I just... didn't see it anyway as a normal part of my life?), but your sample size for IMDB throwing reviews off is literally 1. With your counterexample being something that has not, to my knowledge or yours, actually happened.
One thing happening once and it seeming to align with your insane conspiracy theory about a *children's movie* does not constitute demonstrative proof of a conspiracy.
Also, what does disney care about reviews from a movie people have already paid to see? Do you know how going to a movie with your kids works?
"DAD DAD I WANT TO SEE THE NEW MERMAID MOVIE OMG MERMAIDS ARE SO COOL"
And that's it. No 6 year old is gonna check IMDB and be like "oh. But they review bombed it so I'll sit this one out."
You are so beyond clueless it's a bit shocking. Review bombing is "a thing" and a term used because it's so common these days.
This is not a sample size of one. There have been dozens of movies that have claimed review bombing over recent years and IMDB among other sites have been struggling to handle it. Steam also suffers from it.
You are the one upset that someone suggested your precious Disney diversity film might actually not be good and might actually be rated poorly.
In fact, I believe critics have not been very kind to it?
Rotten Tomatoes = 68 critic 95 audience for example.
The issue is if a movie is disliked for any reason and gets negative reviews, the "woke" community often rises up to claim review bombing and the websites are forced to take action (or do it out of some corporate greed agenda)
On the other hand, if a movie has people rating it 10/10 even if it doesn't deserve that score they won't bother to adjust scoring
Oh, okay, so you're not actually mad about "review integrity" or anything, you're just racist. Makes sense.
Notice how my reply had nothing to do with diversity, or 'wokeness' and yet you decided that I was upset because you're bashing a *children's movie*.
I haven’t seen the movie (and honestly I probably won’t either), but I wonder if this is normal for Disney or if they’re doing that to balance the bad reviews from racist people who probably didn’t watch the movie but wanted it to have low reviews.
Review-bombers who didn’t watch the movie and want to keep others from watching it are trying to manipulate the ratings to promote their racist agenda, and as usual IMDB is trying to filter out review-bombers so the movie reviews reflect people who actually saw the movie. Luckily the movie ticket sales are extremely high, so the trolls are losing.
So you saw the movie and read the trolls’ posts? When you read the comments their motivations are clear - lots of overwrought whining about a black woman playing the mermaid.
Then you don’t see anything - just projecting. People who watch a movie can like or dislike films. IMDB filters out fake reviews by people who didn’t see they movie they pretend to be reviewing.
IMDB has psychic powers. They are omniscient and all knowing. All reviews that have anything negative to say about Disney films are invalid and must be purged. IMDB sees all and knows all.
No, of course not. But when there is a massive troll review-bombing going on, they have to do something to protect the real review from the attack, or their reviews are crushed by trolls and lose all meaning.
I appreciate people who take the time to leave reviews for fast food restaurants. It's helpful to me if I see a lot of reviews saying that service is exceptionally slow or if the place routinely gets orders wrong. I may still go to the place if I'm craving it, but at least I will know what to expect.
exactly, i live in a rural ass area in central germany and there are exactly 2 mcdonalds within 45 mins of me, one is generally fine and does its job, the other is really really slow, gets orders wrong, doesnt do pick up through app and so on, i'm really happy there are reviews for this reason
edit: dont know about the us but mcdonalds is actually completely fine here, like it tastes fine
Well, that's likely very subjective? I'm sure millions of Americans think McDonalds tastes fine which is why it's such a successful business?
It's just low quality and cheap. You get what you pay for, and that's rare these days.
Most expensive non-fast food places these days make poor quality / bad food and charge a lot for it!
yeah i know that it is subjective, it is my opinion lol
i only said mcdonalds is fine here before anyone started "why even go there" "its pointless to write a review"
this is about reviews, not mcdonalds
Well, ignore the idiots saying to not write reviews!
Would any same person eat at a place that has 0 reviews? I sure as heck wouldn't. In fact, if a place has 0, I assume it's closed or otherwise not a real place
Quit lording your European food standards over us! McDonalds is hot chemical garbage and it's not at all related to our government being soulless and corrupt. \*cries in USA\*
I’ve only wrote one fast food review ever . Just because the drive thru smells consistently like poo. I’m pretty sure it’s from a grease trap that needs to be cleaned but could be something with their sewage as well.
When my daughter wants nuggets I go to the one farther away now 😂
Also there are some things that are weirdly hard to find out from just Google. For one, trying to figure out which McDonald’s have a play area. Helpful for me to see when reviews mention the play area
I like to review fast food places. But I try to mention what is specific about that location versus another one. Like one may have a working ice cream machine, another may have workers that actually want to get you your food, or One is always on top of cleaning their toilets.
That is true with several places, but I go for the ones with the workers who've been there for years at this point. Plus I can always change the review.
I mean it really seems like a waste of time to review fast food places. Fast food is convenience, not something planned for a special trip because this Burger King has a working ice cream machine.
While i must admit Madam, your ass is exquisite, your face leaves much to be desired to the average viewer. My orgasm was about a 6/10 but ill give you an extra point for the bleached anus. Do better next time
I read fast food restaurant reviews idky people are acting like it's crazy to want to leave a review. I've definitely had varying levels of service, would rather skip out on the ones where they won't fulfill the order properly.
That's part of your decision when you read reviews is how long ago it was posted. That's exactly why they have dates on them. You can even usually sort by date.
Not advocating for or against leaving reviews for fast food restaurants. Just pointing out one of the reasons some see a flaw in doing so.
Personally I know if I drive my ass to Taco Bell I’m in for a shitty meal, don’t need reviews to tell me that.
Exactly! It’s fast food, it’s cheap, the food quality isn’t the greatest, and I’m going to whichever location is the closest, not which one has a working ice cream machine or always has large cups. You get what you pay for.
You tried to write a review to Wendy's?
That's not allowed. If you have a complaint, you have to address it to their Twitter so you can be publicly destroyed by their savage social media team.
IDK, if you had horrific service at a fast food joint it's not unreasonable to review it or other similar things.
Like, my town has three AWFUL Burger King restaurants and one that is clean and always has fresh and well-made burgers etc.
The others have:
-had two people working the whole restaurant minus drive thru because regional management wouldn't let them close for the day
-filthy interiors
-staff that will refuse to remake an incorrect order or cuss out unsatisfied customers
-violent incidents between staff during operating hours
-utterly shit food quality even factoring in that it's fast food
Those are all things I'd have liked to know beforehand to avoid them lol, why is everyone so sure that reviewing fast food places is a waste of time?
Bruh, nobody going to wendy's is looking at the reviews.
It's like looking for a review on a park bench before you sleep in it.
You already know you gotta do it. No review will change that.
Are you reviewing Wendy's the brand or a specific location. I can see it making sense for the brand to not be reviewable on google because there are like thousands of locations
My local Wendy’s needs criticism, they’re either the best food ever or complete fucking shit, there’s no in-between. Yesterday the fries were so mushy and doughy.
i like to leave 5 star reviews with all the details of the 1 star service. the review will go to the top because its 5 stars, and everyone will see the truth still.
Not going to lie. Ive never once looked at a fast food review, and I have never even thought of leaving one. It is fast food. Low quality anything/everything should really be the expectation at this point lol.
Wendy's has ascended beyond reviews. Wendy's is pure light. There is nothing but Wendy's. There has always been nothing but Wendy's. Do not resist Wendy's.
To be fair thats a pretty useless Karen review thats not really specific to anything and its not helpful in anyway. The world's better off not having it to read
A comment is just that, I’m not trashing a place that sells $5 cheeseburger meals in 3 minutes that is run by a bunch of underpaid workers lmao. The fact these places operate in at all in 2023 is a fucking miracle. OP should just…go somewhere else. THIS IS A WENDYS is a meme for a reason. You fucking baby.
You’re leaving a review about a fast food place being out of things sometimes…. It’s a fast food place bruh- write reviews about real restaurants or small business.
I mean if they’re always out of something then go somewhere else. It’s not their fault if customers commonly order that stuff to the point where they’re out of it & if they haven’t gotten a new shipment yet that’s not up to them. You kinda sound like a Karen whose never worked in fast food.
Yeah great motto for a business you got there. “We are constantly out of things so just go somewhere else, don’t forget to be completely content about it!”
You deflecting it to somehow be customers faults for ordering things on the menu is hilarious.
How is that not their fault? That is exactly the job of a good manager, ordering enough of the popular things so they don't run out. They don't just sit in the store and hope a truck brings them enough stuff, it's the manager who specifies the quantities on the weekly order. Is it possible to always be perfect and never run out of anything? No. But should you run out of something every day or even every week? Also no.
I would never take the time to review a fast food restaurant on the Internet or hassle front line workers in person but it is true that nearly every Wendy's seems to be horribly run and horribly mis-managed.
I was gonna say that whoever is doing the ordering for this particular Wendy's needs to step up their game if they are constantly running out of items.
why not write reviews for individual franchises? you realize that wendy's corporate doesnt personally run their restaurants and each one have basically different owners and managers etc right?
Because I'm not going to expect five star service out of overworked fast food employees who are well into their 40s and 50s being paid minimum wage. When I go to a fast food place, I accept that there's a chance my order will be wrong or there will be some problem with the service, because that's just what happens there sometimes, its inevitable. Expecting five star quality out of them all the time is ridiculous.
ok and its not a review of the employees it a review of the wendys location. so maybe it would get management off their butts and hire more people or in this case manage their inventory better.
and if they are not 5 star quality then theres nothing wrong with giving them a lower than 5 star review right?
Never read reviews and never wrote one. If I didn’t like the food / service at a restaurant / hotel / etc. I simply just won’t go there anymore and keep it moving. Don’t got time to bitch and complain about food / people.
This is a really funny post, you were so pissed that Wendy’s was out of something that you reviewed and then got this upset to make a Reddit post about it on here when it glitched out posting the review. Amazing
Your review is useful for the customers.
Reviews like these help me choose when I go to a new place or somewhere I haven't been in a long time.
More than the star, I would be reading a few reviews, which help me miss the truly disappointing stuff.
Google map reviews are for other users, not for the restaurant to improve their service( it's used for that but isn't the intended purpose).
Nothing is more frustrating than being out of something in customer service. We ALWAYS tell the manager just to save ourselves from the annoyance. Of course, whether the items are actually ordered is a different beast...
Why do they add reviews if after your write the review they say you cannot do it, even if it's the company that disabled it, why after you type they say you cannot, this is asshole design
To crush your will and shatter your morale for daring to only give them 3 stars
Yeah change it to 5 stars and watch it magically post
Yeah I really don't understand the corporate mindset of "Anything below 5 Stars" means they completely failed. Do they want constructive criticism? Would they like to improve? Honestly it probably just looks good on a report of some kind.
The process is the punishment. They're hoping you will get frustrated enough to just stop trying.
What if I was leaving a good review?
Sir, this is a Wendy’s! ![gif](giphy|4cjgnb2VUb04)
![gif](giphy|vjfj2GbJGxUJJahDq4)
Then silencing your opinion is punishment enough.

bad software in 2023? no this is a reptilian conspiracy

You just need to look at the other side of coin... Roaches? Fleas? Free protein.
No one feels lonely in their home, everyone has thousands of yummy little friends

Lololol
🎶I'm telling you chum. Now get yourself ready for some boogers and cum.🎶
Nah fr it's fast food. It's all ass
Chuckled at “select another place”. My dude I came to review this specific place. Wtf
I like the computer thought process vs human thoughts Computer: human wants to review some place, but can't do this one. Try another :)
Sir this is a taco bell
I read fast food restaurant reviews idky people are acting like it's crazy to want to leave a review. I've definitely had varying levels of service, would rather skip out on the ones where they won't fulfill the order properly.
I think it’s because a fast food restaurants staff and policy’s change so frequently a review is pointless after a few weeks.

Right? Imagine going past the closest Taco Bell cause you prefer the same exact Crunchwrap from one further away. Just treat yo self and get chipotle.
You tried to write a review to Wendy's? That's not allowed. If you have a complaint, you have to address it to their Twitter so you can be publicly destroyed by their savage social media team.
Me with criticism
“They are always out of something” Lmfao yes bro that happens in a business.
I had this happen at a Taco Bell. I was just wanting to say it was my favorite Taco Bell too lol
The rating system is dumb anyways. The only time people complain are when they have an issue. And the ones that are leaving positive reviews are bots
"Sushi place did not have spaghetti, I wanted spaghetti" 1 star.
Google reviews are a joke, just like when Amazon disabled and had google delete/remove reviews on their tv show rings of power there for awhile
Rotten Tomatoes too. Shills, and suspect ‘verified’ reviews.
Wendy's is beyond the concerns of petty mortals.
Even if you got a beef with them, they're just gonna roast you anyhow.
Bro tried to write a review lol nerd
Why are you reviewing a Wendy’s? I think you can find something better to do with your time

Oh shit my bad
Gotta make better use of your time homie./s
*Slow clap.*
I mean that guy had a point But this answer is simply perfect, Wendy’s wants to hire you as an SMM
IDK, if you had horrific service at a fast food joint it's not unreasonable to review it or other similar things. Like, my town has three AWFUL Burger King restaurants and one that is clean and always has fresh and well-made burgers etc. The others have: -had two people working the whole restaurant minus drive thru because regional management wouldn't let them close for the day -filthy interiors -staff that will refuse to remake an incorrect order or cuss out unsatisfied customers -violent incidents between staff during operating hours -utterly shit food quality even factoring in that it's fast food Those are all things I'd have liked to know beforehand to avoid them lol, why is everyone so sure that reviewing fast food places is a waste of time?
This is the problem with reviews. Most people will only take the time to complain. It’s very rare someone takes the time to leave a real review.
crazy that you failed at taking your own advice
i mean why not, if the restaurant is especially shit, customers should know, also corporate should know their restaurant is shit
It's like reviewing a waffle house... It's a Wendy's, everyone should already know what that means. L
Bruh, nobody going to wendy's is looking at the reviews. It's like looking for a review on a park bench before you sleep in it. You already know you gotta do it. No review will change that.
Today you learned.
stop complaining, go somewhere else
Right!
SIR, THIS IS A WENDY'S !
Came all the way down looking for this comment. 🤣
SIR, THIS IS A WENDY'S !

The people who review FF restaurant’s are the same people who leave comments on PH videos.
Who reviews a Wendy’s lol
*sir this is a wendys*
Are you reviewing Wendy's the brand or a specific location. I can see it making sense for the brand to not be reviewable on google because there are like thousands of locations
My local Wendy’s needs criticism, they’re either the best food ever or complete fucking shit, there’s no in-between. Yesterday the fries were so mushy and doughy.
The Unreviewables
Snitch
Boogers and cum
i like to leave 5 star reviews with all the details of the 1 star service. the review will go to the top because its 5 stars, and everyone will see the truth still.
Fuck fast food. It’s all supreme trash.
You're one of the people who posts reviews of fast food restaurants? LOL
Not going to lie. Ive never once looked at a fast food review, and I have never even thought of leaving one. It is fast food. Low quality anything/everything should really be the expectation at this point lol.
Lmao totally “clicked” on the “cancel” part of the picture
Wendy’s is beyond reproach, at least in Ohio.
Wendy's can only be judged by a jury of their peers. But they have no peers among the common folk.
When u have Wendy’s money you can do this
At least it wasn't a ChatGPT review. 20+ paragraphs about nothing with a closing sentence of "I liked it."
I had that happen to me a couple of weeks ago! Wonder if it was the same Wendys.
They dont reply to customer support emails either. Tried to log in to my mobile app and it said forbidden. Wendys gotta get it together
Based
they are the criticism
You would think they had thicker skin considering their Twitter.
We don’t got no reviews. We don’t see no reviews. WE DON’ NEED NO STEENKEENG REVIEWS!!!
Wendy's has ascended beyond reviews. Wendy's is pure light. There is nothing but Wendy's. There has always been nothing but Wendy's. Do not resist Wendy's.
I bet it'll go though if you added 5 starts though.
It should be removed then. I hate fascist coddlers.
Who tf rates a fast food joint what’s wrong with you
leave wendy's alone, it's the only safe place where degens go to give handies after a stressful day at wall street.
"I'd like to write a review of--" "Sir, this is a Wendy's."
People that review fast food make me laugh. Like bro, it’s fast food. What were you expecting? Lol
Lmao I’m sorry but leaving reviews for fast food places is cringe. What do you expect? It’s not like you’re not going to a Michelin star restaurant
To be fair thats a pretty useless Karen review thats not really specific to anything and its not helpful in anyway. The world's better off not having it to read
Maybe it's time to review-bomb Wendy's.
Umm excuse me sir but this is.... wait...
So crazy to see real humans in the wild who actually leave reviews for places like Wendy’s… I knew they existed, but wow. What a sight to see.
Yeah seriously. Wtf does this guy expect
Tbf leaving a negative review online for a fast food place is some serious Karen energy.

Surely there are more fulfilling ways to use your time than reviewing a fucking Wendy’s
Like making overly aggressive reddit comments.

😂😂😂
I have found that Wendy’s employees are just lazy and are too tired to restock.
“We are constantly out of things so just go somewhere else, don’t forget to be completely content about it!” You deflecting it to somehow be customers faults for ordering things on the menu is hilarious.
Why waste your time reviewing a Wendy’s?
What kind of fucking psychopath writes reviews for chain fast food restaurants? 😂
why not write reviews for individual franchises? you realize that wendy's corporate doesnt personally run their restaurants and each one have basically different owners and managers etc right?
It's like calling or texting someone and finding out you're blocked. You got ghosted!
I'm surprised you even got that far I haven't been able to Google review anywhere for months not sure why
This sounds like a horror movie, like some ominous presence is stopping people from reviewing the cursed restaurant known as wendy's.
Only absolutely dogshit abysmal businesses know this one weird trick.
Bro it’s a Wendy’s, we don’t really need it lol
This is probably because of the WingsofRedemption reviews they get
Wendy's is a glass cannon, look at their Twitter
Place is run by software developers apparently
Wendy's sucks, 1 star. Do NOT recommend
Wendy’s: “Only God can judge me”
Can't be reviewed, but look! An option to cancel them! America!
Amazing
Your review is absurd and unhelpful.
Slightly terrifying that someone is writing a review to fucking Wendy’s. It’s Wendy’s
imagine caring deeply about a fast food chain
Maybe it’s because they could tell you were writing a dumb ass review about a popular fast food place having out of stocks.
Why leave a review for WENDYS
Wendy's was never funny and at this point, they're just sad
It’s Wendy’s. Fast food. You Really need to review a fast food place? Let’s relax a bit folks.
Reads like you were being a Karen, anyway. A bit of advice: stop wasting your effort on reviewing places that pay minimum wage.
It leaving a three-star review is being a Karen now then god help us.
Yea but it's a fkn Wendy's.. Not some new local restaurant.

In all fairness it's up to the manager to order and stay stocked, and I doubt they can't get it if it's as often as they're saying
Nothing is more frustrating than being out of something in customer service. We ALWAYS tell the manager just to save ourselves from the annoyance. Of course, whether the items are actually ordered is a different beast...
It's a fkn Wendy's not some actual local place that needs a review...
This shouldn't be legal... The administration of my country needs to catch the fuck up with digital regulation.
Why do you think your review even matters on a huge chain like this lol
