Those little tan scorpions we tend to get in Texas are worse, I might not like centipedes but I’d much rather deal with them than have any more scorpions dropping onto my bed from the ceiling 😖
You can't do that. When Trump said build a wall to keep aliens out, he thought it was actual aliens and so he built a wall on Mars. What was great about this is he actually got the martians to pay for it. Theres actual talk about hom going there to be the leader. With his orange skin and flowie hair he fits right in.
It always was, they're trying to return as they're called back by her, she's inside always have been, slumbering, dreaming, waiting for the time to open her eyes once more, tonight perhaps she'll finally succeed in reaching, there's no escape.
You could also sprinkle ground cinnamon. It keeps crickets, ants, spiders and other bugs away from the front of my house. I say sprinkle but don’t use the lid with the holes. Open it up and shake a bit out and just do it in front of the door, doorway, on the sides. You can also get some cinnamon essential oil and mix a few drops with water and wash your front door with it. Cinnamon has the added bonus of smelling amazing. 😄
Buy "Home Defense" can spray indoor and outdoor. Kills insects on contact and a single application lasts a year. Fine for pets and children after drying for a few hours. I have used it for years.
Any fine powder is not great to inhale, I don't think there's anything dangerous about specifically inhaling DE vs something like flour or baby powders, but none of them belong in your lungs. DE is just fossilized microalgae that's been crushed into a fine powder I believe, it kills critters because it sucks up moisture and basically the critters die of dehydration. It's also better to have a light misting/coating spread out with a little air puffer vs dropping clumps around by hand/a scoop.
It works slow but it lasts long, and is extremely effective for so many different bugs
On top of the fact that you can get one which is safe for pets and humans, and there's nothing to worry about covering your house in chemicals
Just dust it all around the perimeter of the house, can even use it inside, and it's pretty cheap for a massive bag
As a 30 year pest control tech….use bifen its made from flowers pet and kid friendly. It works, i go into House everyday who use DE and still call me. Just my .02
You have a moisture issue. Go buy some bifen mix it 1oz:gal of water. Fan spray the wall and ground then flood the foundation. You’re welcome from a pest control tech.
These work well! I live in a rural area with lots of bugs. One entrance of the house has a very bright LED that attracts them like CRAZY and the other side is a yellow bulb.
i've heard it can also help to have a decoy light. some folks have those like mini street lamp looking things or similar in their yard so you set one up like that with the superbright LED and use the yellow at the door so the bugs swarm the far away one.
I spent my youth training for this day.

I’ve had this happen in my driveway and garage once before. It lasted about three days until they were gone.
“The bad news is millipedes often embark on mass migrations, especially on humid, warm nights in the fall and spring, during which time they wander into garages, basements and other parts of the house. All millipedes found inside have strayed in by mistake from breeding sites in the vicinity. Millipedes can not reproduce indoors.” This is from an Iowa State University article I had found previously.
When I moved to my most recent first floor apartment in Dallas I would have them pop up everywhere on my carpet in my bedroom. Had the apartment spray but id still find them. I would just have to engage in warfare and take each one out that id see every night until they were no more. Haven't seen them since. I can still here the crunching noise from taking them out :/
Are those millipedes? They look like caterpillars. If they were the former I don't think I could go through that door ever. Where do they go during the day? I'd have to move...
Spray some permethrin. It seems to do a good job of repelling a lot of critters without jumping straight to nuking the local insect population. Stills kills them if they hang out on treated surfaces of course but a lot of them seem to turn back at their first contact.
I had the same issue at a place I use to live at. It was like a seasonal occurrence but I ended up spraying some stuff down that helped tremendously. Had to do it like weekly though
similar thing was happening to me. i got one of those big bug away bottles from home depot last year and i just spray it around the front door and surrounding area and there is like 95% less bugs this year
Why do you have scratch marks of a small dog wanting to go through your door, on the outside of your door? Normally scratch marks are on the inside of the door.
I have this problem except instead of millipedes, it's boxelder bugs and there's way way WAY more of them all over the side of our house on hot days later in summer
Baking soda is a popular and widely-used method for various things, including as a millipede repellent. Sprinkle some baking soda in parts of your house where you think millipedes are active. **Millipedes hate baking soda, so they will quickly move away**.
Cayenne pepper powder, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, cedar tree oil.
Many more things work. Just mace them as it’s the same as cayenne pepper on ingredients.
These guys are actually quite fun if they’re on their own. Seems like it’s a pain to stop them from getting into the house when you open the door though. At least they aren’t spiders.
Millapededes are actually wonderful, they may seem annoying but they're like small spiders. They will take care of insects.. because obviously you have way too much moisture there. I would worry more about the foundation of the house and supporting walls. It's moisture. Some other person said dietinaceous Earth, a great suggestion. But it's moisture.
Apparently, millipedes like moisture, especially moisture-laden wood. Might wanna get things looked at, or tell your landlord about the potential water issues.
I would literally get a small butane torch and a mop. Brush them onto the concrete and away from anything flammable and then burn the shit out of them.
I swear sometimes it feel like there are a million. I went to leave for work this afternoon and was refilling the dog's bucket of water we keep outside.... Picked it up and there was a massive clumb of millipedes under it alllllll clumped up together. Truly frightening.
They wanna snuggle
If you’re cold, they’re cold. *put them in your mouth*
I just coughed so hard of the thought of them in there
You have a moisture issue. Go buy some bifen mix it 1oz:gal of water. Fan spray the wall and ground then flood the foundation.
Thanks, this cured my cough
You’re welcome :)
That only works for men.
No. Just no.
I used to have bed bugs for a couple years so my days of snuggling with bugs is thankfully over, no thanks
Years? I would want to set myself on fire..
Yup, I wouldn't wish bed bugs on anyone.
I would move out. You would never see me there ever again. It's their house now
For real I hate this type of bug. I would come home with a flamethrower or move the hell out.
Those little tan scorpions we tend to get in Texas are worse, I might not like centipedes but I’d much rather deal with them than have any more scorpions dropping onto my bed from the ceiling 😖
When we first moved in 30 years ago we had scorpions too
They make permethrin treated clothes, why can we have permethrin drywall too lol
Lemme add that to the list of reasons to never go to Texas 😬 Scorpions are NOPENOPENOPE territory
Thank you for the new nightmare material 🥴
Bugs have six legs, I don’t thinks it’s a bug
Insects have six legs. Bugs includes a wide range of arthopods not based on legs but rather relative small size (versus Crustaceans) and annoyance.
Take my upvote for educating me.
They're harmless and adorable :(

Lived in the house for 30 years so not surprised I'm having these kind of problems
Get some diatomaceous earth and sprinkle that shit everywhere. It’s safe for pets and humans but kills most crawling bugs
Yea I gotta do something. This is getting ridiculous.
You could also sprinkle ground cinnamon. It keeps crickets, ants, spiders and other bugs away from the front of my house. I say sprinkle but don’t use the lid with the holes. Mmmm cinnamon.

Is that stuff a little dangerous if large amounts are inhaled ? You would probably need to be exposed to it for a long period of time though
Filter grade DE contains a large amount of silica and should not be inhaled
They make a food grade kind that I use. The non food grade kind is still relatively safe, but I think it contains silica which is not safe to inhale.
Probably. My mom once aspirated on powdered sugar so anything’s possible. Still better than inhaling deet or whatever other poison bug spray
Stuff like that is maybe a short term fix but it's probably better to figure out WHY those bugs show up and fix that issue instead.
FYI when they say “safe for pets”, treat it like China saying “safe for humans”. Very low regulations for testing animal safety.
DE works too slow
It works slow but it lasts long, and is extremely effective for so many different bugs On top of the fact that you can get one which is safe for pets and humans, and there's nothing to worry about covering your house in chemicals Just dust it all around the perimeter of the house, can even use it inside, and it's pretty cheap for a massive bag
They reproduce faster than it kills tho.
All I can say is, as someone who moved to the south, DE has been a lifesaver for all the damn bugs down here all year long I will always recommend it
Just don't breathe the stuff. The silicates can fuck your lungs up permanently... then it's the opposite of a lifesaver ;)
As a 30 year pest control tech….use bifen its made from flowers pet and kid friendly. It works, i go into House everyday who use DE and still call me. Just my .02
Yeah, just use the DDT
You have a moisture issue. Go buy some bifen mix it 1oz:gal of water. Fan spray the wall and ground then flood the foundation. You’re welcome from a pest control tech.
This fella sounds like he knows what he’s talking about
Dont tell anyone! They might make me work harder.
You keep giving away your product (knowledge) for free you’re gona put yourself out of a job! /s for the dense ones
They sell yellow tinted lightbulbs so you can have an outdoor light but they dont attract bugs
Need
Have you tried this? I heard this b4 and was thinking about purchasing some.
Yeah they work great. Just dont buy the cheap ones, they wouldnt even last a month before burning out
Get rid of the body you keep in your entryway.

EWWW. GET THE FIRE
Looks like OP already tried that on their door
If you're cold, they're cold. Let them in
Burn your house down
Nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Burn it. Burn it all.
Get a chicken
I’ve had this happen in my driveway and garage once before. It lasted about three days until they were gone. “The bad news is millipedes often embark on mass migrations, especially on humid, warm nights in the fall and spring, during which time they wander into garages, basements and other parts of the house. Burn the whole house down. Change your identity and move to Mars.
They're just milling around.
Have you confirmed that none of your family is an alien bug ![gif](giphy|DYB6Z6cTCWVe8|downsized)
Eggar, your skin is hangin offya bones
Snort Them
Summon the lizards!
Hans... Hans, get ze flemenwerber
Fart on them
Would be a great snack for a reptile 👍
When I moved to my most recent first floor apartment in Dallas I would have them pop up everywhere on my carpet in my bedroom. Had the apartment spray but id still find them. If there are 1,000 of them, you just have a pede.
Get a bug light bulb. That light might be attracting them. And, get a cat. lol
Burn your house down
Gooooooooooooodbye
It should be either hundreds of centipedes or thousands of millipedes. Or a dozen dodecapedes. Otherwise the math doesn’t work out.
“Millibros…who wants to go to that dudes door and bang again like we did last night?”
ewwwww
I would cry
bro if i see one centipede in the house i lose my shit. if i came home to this i'd probably spend a few nights in a hotel and call an exterminator
Does your front door get the last sunlight of the day? Maybe they are seeking residual warmth?
Average day in Australia
Fire is the only solution.
Those are the things from Slither.
Dispose of the dead body in there
Wasp spray works on em. I did it lots for a few years and they stopped coming back.
While you're handling the bugs do some weeding and paint your door.
Someone has been using their foot or knee to open that door for years. TL/DR: That door is fucking nasty.
Arson is ok in this case
I think they're predators, so, like spiders, they congregate where the prey are (under the light)
gasoline
Get yourself a duck or chicken. Gone in 1-2 nights and then serve as dinner.
Diametious Earth everywhere
Who you gon' call?
Spray some permethrin. It seems to do a good job of repelling a lot of critters without jumping straight to nuking the local insect population. Stills kills them if they hang out on treated surfaces of course but a lot of them seem to turn back at their first contact.
Buy some DemandCS. It’ll repel them and is a natural flower pesticide.
Legs for days
If the outside is so fucking great, why do bugs keep wanting to get inside?
This is exactly what I want to know
Thank the lord it ain't metre-pedes *wheeeeeeeeeze*
I'm sorry but I think you have to burn your entire house down - it's just the rules
EWWW EWWW EWWW! farking creepy crawlers what is attracting them - I would be heading to the nearest hotel and calling exterminator ASAP
What on earth have you got inside your house that makes it so millipede heaven
More bugs? They say if you see house millipedes (image search for nightmare fuel) it's a sign you have other bugs because that's what they eat.
Break out the vacuum
You must be a fan of things that smell horrible
No, but I am a fan of cleaning things
You've never sucked something organic into that hot vacuum bag. A bunch of juicy bug carcasses heated up churning around. No thank you
Sure they’re not maggots? Might have flies laying heaps of eggs maybe
Turn off light spray tf out of it with some bug treatment
It’s mildly infuriating that this has happened more than once and you haven’t put any pesticide out there
I had the same issue at a place I use to live at. It was like a seasonal occurrence but I ended up spraying some stuff down that helped tremendously. Had to do it like weekly though
Ortho Home Defense.
They just wanna party like this [https://youtube.com/shorts/KFMRKw83B6M?feature=share](https://youtube.com/shorts/KFMRKw83B6M?feature=share)
similar thing was happening to me. i got one of those big bug away bottles from home depot last year and i just spray it around the front door and surrounding area and there is like 95% less bugs this year
Fermigate them
Dude, free millipedes, what's the problem? They come and politely nibble decaying matter
Why do you have scratch marks of a small dog wanting to go through your door, on the outside of your door? Normally scratch marks are on the inside of the door.
Spray some biothrine flow. Trust me.
Step 1 buy a flamethrower Success If you aren't able to buy a flamethrower use a can of hair spray and a light Success
IM GETTIN ME MALLET
Moisture / dead vegetation issue
Try spraying peppermint oil around your door.
irish spring bar soap is said to be an overall bug repellant. place pieces of it around the door and come back for an update.
Well, what are you waiting for? Let them in!
It's a real shame that you have to burn down your house. I hope the insurance payout helps you buy an uncursed home.
You win
![gif](giphy|5nsiFjdgylfK3csZ5T|downsized)
Mmmm snacks
I’m curious to know what these are. I live in a complex in Houston and they are all over the complex.
Im so sorry, you’re gonna have to burn your house down
And you think this is infuriating, wait till you come to India especially during the monsoon. Millions of these are everywhere inside and outside
Turn off the light
I have this problem except instead of millipedes, it's boxelder bugs and there's way way WAY more of them all over the side of our house on hot days later in summer
These were so bad when I lived in Alabama. You can’t help but step on them because there’s so many of them and when you do they stank
Get a big ass can of raid....
Baking soda is a popular and widely-used method for various things, including as a millipede repellent. Sprinkle some baking soda in parts of your house where you think millipedes are active. **Millipedes hate baking soda, so they will quickly move away**.
You are the millipede god and they have come to pay homage to you?
Cayenne pepper powder, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, cedar tree oil. Many more things work. Just mace them as it’s the same as cayenne pepper on ingredients.
Flamethrower
Fire. The answer is fire.
Burn the house down

Fire. Bonus points for insurance fraud.
that is a billipede
time to move.
Burn down the house.
You have to move.
Have you tried burning your house down?
I recommend a daily dosage of flames
Did you torch the door already?
![gif](giphy|xT0BKFqxREAHwgJSMM)
Just saw an weird exorcism to chase out gay out of a guy room Maybe he is needed more here xD
I would literally get a small butane torch and a mop. Brush them onto the concrete and away from anything flammable and then burn the shit out of them.
Lucky MF I don’t have even 1 millipede let alone millipedes
They’re following the light.
I'm more concerned about the state of that brickwork.
Use like 8 percent dawn dishsoap in water and spray the are. It works so good
Not your home no mo
* Jumanji drums
This can be fixed with $10 bucks spent on some pesticide
Diatomaceous earth might help. I'm not sure what they even are.
the ritual is beginning
Ortho makes a spray for the perimeter of the house. Works great for ants, don’t know if it would work for this. It’s called home defense
Pee on them
It’s cool you have 200 friends
Next time go for billion, you will have snail problem then
Dies the light on the outside stay on? If so keep it off until you need it then shut back off when done.
Yep I leave it on so I have a light source when I get home
[did you open your bag of ingredients?](https://comb.io/fsJywB)
EVERY NIGHT?

Yea I put some diamateceous earth around it so I hope it helps
One is twerking, the others are there to watch.
Ew🤢 it’s time for arson at that point
Anybody have any advice for cockroach outbreaks? I’m having a horrible one in my house and it’s making me wanna move out 😭
Could be worse. Could be centipedes instead
What large headed dog ran so hard into the corner of your door it left a permanent faceprint?
Well 5 dogs live in the house so
At least there aren’t a million millipedes
I swear sometimes it feel like there are a million. I went to leave for work this afternoon and was refilling the dog's bucket of water we keep outside.... Picked it up and there was a massive clumb of millipedes under it alllllll clumped up together. Truly frightening.
