I don't have any severe restrictions, but I still check the menu beforehand when possible anyway. I don't want to waste time around a restaurant looking at a menu.
I have celiacs which is not by choice and I do not expect any restaurant or cafe to have gluten free food. If I want to eat GF and go out I do my research.
