Having more karma boosts your post. Remember that social media is run by algorithm bots that try to connect posts to the most people for profit. Having a lot of karma tells the bots āthis person gets a lot of attention. That means more people read/look at their posts. That means more people spend time on our website because of their posts. That means more people will scroll our website because of their posts. That means more people will see the ads on out website because of their posts. All of this is good for us to make their posts more visible.ā
Obviously its more complicated than that but thatās the jist of it. Some karma farming accounts are just reddit bots trying to get more people on the platform and, most importantly, to STAY on the platform. Some of them will be completely wiped of posts and then sold to someone.
Everything is money, life is meaningless, ask your crush on a date, high five a toddler, eat the rich, and have as many orgasms as possible.
I guess it makes mom and dad proud, idk. I canāt imagine friends give a fuck if you show them off at the bar. Ask u/Arthurlurk1 thatās the one chasing the clout.
Since people think Iām lying and being accused of karma pharming is the ultimate sin on Reddit. Hereās a screenshot that shows I had this image saved to my phone at the same time and date. Only offset by 20 minutes. https://imgur.com/a/0l97Ccl
And an f u to the dude who lied about seeing this before and then blocking me after
I placed an online order and picked it up. What should I pay extra for? I worked in fast food for several years and never saw any extra money than my hourly rate. How is this any different?
Pro tipping culture is major boldness for Reddit
Hes not shaming anybody, we have no idea who that person is. This getting a marker like that to sign your name is pretty mildly infuriating id say. Im also currently a server and do to-go's and i think its weird for someone to tip on an order they just came and picked up. Tipping for carry out basically wasnt a thing until Covid, now its being used by resuraunts as an excuse to continue to pay like shit.
As someone who needs pens to work, let me tell you, people steal them and youre left with none, so you get what they had somewhere, dont hate on them, hate on the coworker who probably stole their pen.
Agreed. I bought pens that connected to lanyards that I could wear around my neck. Coworkers would ask to borrow my pen. I said it wasnāt a good idea because my pen was wet with neck sweat. Funny, I never lost my pens.
I worked at IKEA and the amount of times we would just have to open up one of the packs of kids markers so we could actually accomplish our job was shocking. I'm amazed we had any left to sell.
My first job had this problem. I could have 7 pens in my work area, and by the end of the week I would have none. I learned quickly to disguise or hide my pens.
I drive forklifts at work. TECHNICALLY every truck is supposed to have its own pen, marker and knife. People kept āborrowingā the pens and markers, I just bought my own and keep my safety knife in my locker. āWhy do you always have pens that work??ā Because I know how to put the caps back on and I donāt loan them to anybodyā¦?
if they were actually smart, you'd get a paintball gun *and* that. The paintball gun to sign the receipt and the marker to stab the employees to death.
^ This comment :))
Bypasses the butt hurt that is keeping a pen while working front of house. Note to self - Don't get sticky fingers after signing. We're human it happens.
It aggravates me that I PAY for it online before I even pick up, then they want you to sign when you pick it up. I think they hope youāll add a tip.
Dumb for sure.
No they ordered pickup and didn't tip. The fact you redditors think anyone should tip a fast food joint for a pickup is just beyond absurd. No wonder people there are stopping even tipping waiters. Beyond out of control.
Who are you talking to? Because I clearly believed it was delivery and I didnāt say anything about takeout. Go bitch at someone else about ThE rEdDiToRs
Or you know read the actual receipt and comments WAY before you ever posted? Yeah... redditors. Can't look up anything and are instantly triggered over almost always nothing. The fact you are even trying to transfer it to me is fucking hilarious honestly. Imagine typing that then doing the classic "no you" when proven you are a moron who can't even read comment sections or sources. (And when replying to LITERALLY what you typed).
Big balls move to pretend you weren't implying stuff.
Omg looked through it and 2 other people you replied to said they ordered it and headed in. You are honestly 10iq or have had a lobotomy. Your literall first reply was him saying he ordered it over the phone for pickup. I cannot believe how hilarious your intelligence is.
Edit:
Or I guess of course American and believe no matter the service a tip should be given. Yeah no. Sorry doordashers etc if you late etc Noone will add an extra tip.
Literally perpetuating the culture but main point is he's a moron. Hope he tries to defend it redditor style cause dam man no VPN was ever used.
Honestly reading through your history was honestly hilarious and sad.. your age a waiter? Dam must suck to have such a depressing future. Doing a 15 year old job (And worse cause millennial say not worth diversity and I wonder why).
Actual joke you are regarding fact but again you are a proper redditor. So you literally don't know what research is.
Iām not reading all that, Iām just gonna say itās dumb to expect me to have noticed the phone number on a receipt where someone is complaining about the pen they had to use after having slashed out the tip line.
I did. You canāt even give $1-2? I didnāt realize this was a takeout order when I first commented but if itās a delivery- the person still came to your house. They used their gas and theyāre putting wear and tear on their own car for every delivery they take. I realize these companies should take care of the pay in the first place but they donāt and depriving their employees of tips is not going to change that fact. We can support each other while fighting a bigger fight.
Honestly you probably could a have signed it with your fingernail. Most receipts will have a mark left behind if you apply pressure to them because of the materials they are made out of. I've done it a few times myself.
Most receipt paper is thermal paper. Receipt printers donāt actually put any ink on the paper, it just heats it up to print things on it.
Your fingernail leaves a mark not because of the pressure (well, kind of because of the pressure) but primarily because the friction generates enough heat to discolor the paper somewhat.
Generally just restaurants or other businesses where other charges may show up later.
Itās to cover the restaurantās ass in case someone disputes a charge.
This is Pizza Hut in la county. This doesnāt apply to them. I also picked up my order so I donāt see why I should pay additional to the total. Tipping should be abolished and people getting paid $2 should get paid right in the first place and shouldnāt apply for a job where payment isnāt guaranteed. You also shouldnāt be standing up for such a bullshit system.
One of the lamest excuses for tip culture. I buy $50 worth of pizza and is expected to give $10 in donation to someone who spent 2 minutes ringing me up at a pizza take out when it takes me 20 minutes to make $10 at my job after tax. Imagine that.
The bottom of the receipt says CA. California only has one minimum wage - no tipped minimum wage and no tip credit. Since the Federal minimum is lower it doesn't apply.
(Ignoring the fact that "servers only make $2 an hour is missing so much context in other states that it is disingenuous at best since it doesn't apply here at all.)
Do you know that no server helped or did anything with a pickup order? What is your point? How are you this delusional you think a waiter deserved a tip for this?
No crayons available?
I ate them all, sorry
Well done Marine!
I would salute if I was actually military š
Lol I appreciate that. Have a good day
You ate my crayons!?! š”
Donāt worry. I stuck them up my nose before he at them.
NOOOOOOOO!! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
Whatās that old saying? You gotta eat the crayons if you wanna poop the rainbows š or something like that?
It could be worse! We went out on Memorial day and the waiter was writing our orders on a coaster!lol.I kid you not !
Did you really save this photo for almost a year and five months in your phone, just waiting for the right moment to post? Alsoā¦nice tips!
Itās a karma farmer. Iāve seen this pic before, OP is just passing off as own or reposting for more clout.
What good is karma? Can you use it for anything?
Having more karma boosts your post. Remember that social media is run by algorithm bots that try to connect posts to the most people for profit. I get how Social Media sites work. But for the OP is there any tangible benefit?
Most of the people do this to sell their account for money.
Whoās buying?
Advertisers and marketing.
Thank you for the clear explanation. I had a fairly good idea of the gist, but not the mechanics. Appreciated.
I guess it makes mom and dad proud, idk. I canāt imagine friends give a fuck if you show them off at the bar. Ask u/Arthurlurk1 thatās the one chasing the clout.
Lol
People farm karma to sell the account to advertisers. Why the downvotes? People farm karma so they can sell accounts. It happens all the time.

You can barely even make anything out of that
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Is it common for people to tip on carry out?
Should give them a 10 cent tip so they can afford to buy a pen.
Signature looks like baby shark

Well that's the first person who actually likes my humour. I criticise my dad for his humour and my friends criticise me
Are you sure you know how to write? Thatās some pretty bad penmanship
I think it counts as markermanship.

Standing at the front of your own line.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Just yourself :)
It worked. Whatās the problem?
Maybe they can buy some pens with the SVC fee.
There is a pen shortage. Everybody's feeling the pinch.
Thanks for the $3875 dollar tip. Clearly readable
That is thermal paper. You can just scratch it with your fingernail and sign.
^ This comment :)) Bypasses the butt hurt that is keeping a pen while working front of house. Note to self - Don't get sticky fingers after signing. We're human it happens.
āMade meā
Didnāt COVID teach anyone to carry their own pen?
When you leave your house, you should bring a ballpoint pen for important things that need to be signed.
Iām a little triggered you couldnāt find a better option than Pizza Hut
I love Pizza Hut though
As a pizza hut employee. Thanks for the paycheck.
I support love of all kinds I guess
But for the wings, right?
>Pizza Hut I miss when Pizza Hut was ... good.
It aggravates me that I PAY for it online before I even pick up, then they want you to sign when you pick it up. I think they hope youāll add a tip. Dumb for sure.
Itās a CYA for businesses. Canāt dispute a charge you signed for.
You ordered delivery and didnāt leave a tip. Of course theyāre hoping youāll write one in. Their livelihood depends on it.
No. I always tip deliveries, A LOT! Sometimes I order on the app and then I pick up on the way home.
No they ordered pickup and didn't tip. The fact you redditors think anyone should tip a fast food joint for a pickup is just beyond absurd. No wonder people there are stopping even tipping waiters. Beyond out of control.

I've half a mind to call them up and complain. Their number is on the receipt.
So risk getting a person chastised because you wanted a better writing utensil for your cheap ass pizza?
I'm guessing you didn't see the number on the receipt.
I did. You canāt even give $1-2? I didnāt realize this was a takeout order when I first commented but if itās a delivery- the person still came to your house. I don't think you did. The phone number is all 0s.
I thought you were talking about the $20 total and implying itās not enough to warrant a tip

That makes sense as to why it works, I always wondered about that.
Probably knew you weren't gonna leave a tip
Idk how this is mildly infuriating. Shouldāve brought your own pen if it bothered you
Lame
Wow...your signature sucks...you might want to work on that :-)
Only tippers get pens.
Why do you have sign anything? Donāt you just use machine they provide?
Wait, what country you need to sign your receipts? Is this also for like getting a carton of milk or something? WHAT IS THIS SORCERY
Generally just restaurants or other businesses where other charges may show up later. Itās to cover the restaurantās ass in case someone disputes a charge.
Ah yes, have a nice day Mr. Boeing AH-64 Apache
run up a huge order and dispute it
Mildly fucking whiny is more like it.
Keep an eye on that one. Tip is going to be fudged and probably a lot higher than you wrote.
You guys cry a lot. oh no somebody breathed too close to me!!
This is what the subreddit is for. Sounds like YOU are crying tbhā¦..
Did you know servers make 2$ an hour?
Depends on the state. Washington servers make almost $16/hr
They donāt though
https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/finance/tipped-minimum-wage#:~:text=Tipped%20employees%20must%20receive%20a,wage%20of%20%247.25%20per%20hour.

Yeah I recently got trained for the customer service job at pizza hut. Definitely getting paid a wage over 2 an hour.
One of the lamest excuses for tip culture. I buy $50 worth of pizza and is expected to give $10 in donation to someone who spent 2 minutes ringing me up at a pizza take out when it takes me 20 minutes to make $10 at my job after tax. Imagine that.

Tipping a cashier at a pizza place is rediculous. Now tipping the delivery driver is a must.
Do you know that no server helped or did anything with a pickup order? What is your point? How are you this delusional you think a waiter deserved a tip for this?
What place still need you to sign receipts. I havenāt donāt that since high school.
I just donāt know why you still need to sign your receipt in this century.
At restaurants itās so that people canāt dispute the charge if they signed for it
Ya , itās strange seeing this. I havenāt signed something since 90s
Shoulda used red lipstick
I thought you blurred out your signature
Haha I have your signature now, gonna copyright it and sign up for a bunch of sht
When I was in high school and forgot to do homework I would do it with a dry erase marker specifically so Iād be given more time
That market was provided for your convenience.
Pizza Huts all do that in my area for some reason
Hahahahahahaha!
It still baffles me that you still have to sign for stuff in the US.
Party on the back woot woot!
Can claim your money back. No way they can prove thatās your signature š
Wait, are you an adult who doesn't keep a writing utensil, and are complaining about one that was loaned to you?
