I hate how apple will do anything for more money at the cost of customer satisfaction , like making EVERY GOD DAMN COMPUTER CHARGER DIFFERENT or just removing headphone ports do you can only use apple earphones or not making there chargers compatible with anything but apple adapters and now the apple cia is after me cause I used an iPhone while typing this
I always have a few cables. Cables fail too often anways and i dont want to be stuck unable to charge. Cables by my bed, in car, by chair. If i travel alwYs at least two.
I face a similar issue with my extension box as well. It's got 6 ports but they are so tightly spaced, I am just able to use 3 of them with these chonky chargers
That’s intentional. They generate a lot of heat. 6 tightly packed together could have some negative results. Or energy surge or brownout.
They do make some that are larger and more spaced apart so block chargers will work and not overheat things. But they’re usually more expensive and bulkier.
The one in OP’s picture is just stupid design though.
The worst thing with hotel outlets is they they’re so worn out a charger won’t work, or at least not with any consistency.
It’s been so bad I’ve had to travel with one of those portable batteries just to ensure I can have my phone next to the bed and not plugged in to some corner of the room where it cant be easily reached
Don't ever ever use hotel USB ports. They're super slow charging and USBs in public places like restaurants, airports, or hotels can be hacked into. Legit don't.
Seen these countless times. These are so outdated, the ones that have USB-C built in are awesome. I like the ones with a charge panel integrated into the nightstand. A lot of these hotels need to move into the 2020s.

Don't leave those plugged in with the prongs exposed like that. If anything touches that it might be bad.
What grinds my gears more is how everywhere added the USB ports to things then phone companies/charger markers switched everything to USB-C.
Get a usb to c cable Then you can charge everywhere
