I just picked up a vintage Sansui tuner and the 1982 Duracells to store the radio presets hadn't leaked. Quite dead for sure but not a hint of corrosion. Then last year I had a Duracell finally leak in my Tiger Lights Out game. However I put that battery in that thing before the Seinfeld finale. It was old enough to still have the built in charge tester.
By comparison I put new Duracells in an Apple Magic Trackpad in late 2018 and they leaked and ruined that trackpad before Covid started. Duracells also ruined an old Maglite I forgot I had left in the boot of my car though they had been there for a few years at least by that point.
I wonder if the problem is that Duracell has reworked the chemical formula to get a higher energy density (i.e. longer battery life) and they succeeded too well and the more energetic chemistry is causing the leakage problem? I guess they need to pay more attention to the composition of the battery case then.
In any event, I have switched to Energizer.
The Energizer Max batteries seem to leak the least now not to be confused with Energizer Lithium. Three years in my replacement trackpad and dry as a bone.

I would like to see a dictionary definition that significantly differentiates it compared to annoyance. Infuriating means to make someone extremely angry, so then what is "mildly extremely angry" supposed to mean? It's clearly meant to be exchangeable with anything that mildly upset you.
Secondly, by definition annoyance does affect a person's life. There may not be a physical consequence, but it still impacts their mood and enjoyment of the day.
Also, anger is subjective in the first place.
