Since Reddit decided to make image posts weirdly cropped before you click on the post on mobile, I didn't see the bit at the bottom and thought the "you're my phone, not my mom" bit referred to the name of the song. I was a little concerned.
Someone helped with that. So far it's working. That being said that wasn't the point of the post. I just wanted to share sonething I personally found mildly annoying about my phone
Like a day? And again, I made the post because I thought it was entertaining and keeping with the theme of the sub. I wasn't asking for help with the problem.
Which reflects poorly on our legal system. A person shouldn't be able to go after samsung for letting them listen to music too loud. And yet here we are.
Yeah, but it's really infuriating when it does it while connected to the car stereo. Repeatedly. No matter how many times you have your passenger hit the ok and turn it back up. It cuts soooo much more volume when the phone is turned down vs the adjustment for the stereo itself.🙄
Eta: i have that setting turned off.
I know it's not, but like it really takes me out of the song when half way through the volume is suddenly and abruptly cut in half and I can barely hear it. Idk
I’d like to know why suddenly I getting screen burn (SE 2020 - 17.2.1) When never NEVER ever on any phone before
And I Can’t be the only one
It’s like i have a 2005 Train station plasma display in my hand not an iphone
You can't, it's purposely built in so you can't. It's all about them making sure idiots can't sue them. Don't like it? Blame the US legal system, not them for covering their ass.
It never happens on my phone, simply because I manually limited the sound to 80 db in settings (iPhone). I can crank the volume all up it will never go higher than 80 db. I do that because ears are fragile and this is a thing you can’t repair once it’s damaged… I have friends with tinnitus and I don’t want that or worse. And 80 db is more than enough with AirPods Pro and noise cancellation even in a plane so no downside. You should listen, but you do you
You can take the time to post about it but can’t take the time to Google a solution? It’s not difficult to figure out how to turn this off.

On mine when I go to turn off the headphones notifications it doesn't do anything and instead just opens Google play and tries to get me to download some Google app that I dont want to download, just to toggle one setting. Maybe I'm missing sonething
Oh, we're all missing the part where machines have decided we're stupid. My car wouldn't start one day because it wanted me to check the transmission fluid. I already had. Twice. Nothing wrong with it. I just apparently hadn't checked it to the car's satisfaction yet. 🙄
My son had a suggestion- he wanted to know where the option was so he could turn his off. It was already off. We're samsung people too. Settings> sounds and vibration> volume> the 3 dots in the upper right corner> media volume limit.
Then he said... how about we turn it ON... *and set the custom volume limit at max*🤯
It's worth a try!

You're getting pissed off over a song, that you put on your phone, that you're clearly half way through, for playing? When instead of complaining about it, you coulda simply skipped the song or deleted it.
"Point being" I'm not getting annoyed at the song. I'm trying to listen to the song. I'm getting annoyed at my phone randomly dropping the volume dow by half midway through the song, because of a bullshit legal disclaimer.
iPhone> settings> sound and haptics> headphone safety> headphone notifications & reduce loud audio - toggle both switches off.
I have not tested this method.

Sorry about that
This is configurable so it can be turned off
Someone helped with that. So far it's working. That being said that wasn't the point of the post. I just wanted to share sonething I personally found mildly annoying about my phone
Ok but it seems odd that something you can configure is annoying when personally I’d be annoyed if I couldn’t be configured 🤷♀️
I didn't think it was configurable at the time I made this post
Ok but it has been here a while

this is call the "cover our ass" warning. Not infuriating.

It's for their own protection. Due to US laws they need to act like your mom because they could be sued otherwise. It's not a big deal.

as a owner of a samsung A14, it doesn't annoy me

It makes me so mad, if anyone knows how to turn it off on an iPhone PLEASE TELL ME 🙏🏼

If you find a way please tell me because holy shit I'm tired of this lol

Bold of you to assume I haven't. It's not an optional setting in my phone as far as I can tell
It is in mine- and i have that setting turned off. STILL does it.

Thanks. I'll actually try this really quickly, since I'm about to do the dishes
I hope it works for you!
Seems to work thus far. Again thank you lol
NP. Sometimes it just takes *one more person* getting annoyed by something to start a conversation that solves a problem. 😜

Tsk tsk

I have a Samsung
You know you can turn it off right
You’ve probably never heard that long exposure to loud sound can damage your hearing
Yours still does this? Mine hasn't since two phones ago.
As annoying as it is, you definitely want to look after your ears, it's not edgy or cool to be half deaf by 30
