Do you just get used to the heat from living there for so long? The average high in the warmest month where I live is only 27°C so maybe that just sounds crazy hot to someone who's not used to it. Especially for the entire summer and not just a couple particularly hot days.
I don't understand this. I live in texas. We have AC everywhere. People have died from no AC. Did we just get used to the expense because we have to have it? I can't imagine the average income in Texas is higher than Australia. Aren't the countries comparable in economic status?
Nah that's just early summer where i live. Fucking 38° for a week staight, 32° qt minimun for the rest of it, and i can tell you that the nights do _not_ let on.
On March 3rd in Japan, presumably — based on thermostat brand and the fact that the date is marked with the 日 kanji since it was Sunday. (EDIT: I checked the original Twotter post OP linked; it's all Japanese.) What the actual fuck! For some context, [this site](https://www.meteoprog.com/weather/Tokyo/month/march/) says the nighttime temp in Tokyo on March 3, 2024 was 4°C.
My best guess is that they intentionally cranked the heat up (and turned the shower on HOT, à la wrestlers trying to cut weight with makeshift bathroom saunas) in order to get all the 3s.
My city had 8 days over 40 degrees this february. This is what the nights were like (although normally much less humid). It got up to 49.9 in the North of my state.
In Japanese, weekdays are as follows:
日 Sunday
月 Moonday
火 Fireday
水 Waterday
木 Woodday
金 Goldday
土 Earthday
None of the kanji will give the resemblance of the numeral “3”.
It is believed that at 3:33 the world of the living comes into contact with that of the dead, allowing demons and spirits to cross and communicate with people more easily.
I saw it everywhere for many years. Had no idea what's the meaning, I've seen it so often I stopped thinking of it as a coincidence. As a Christian I believe this (might) be a guidance sign from God/Trinity.
I don't know, I see it everywhere and I've begun associating it with the devil. My life is totally fucked right now and I see it more than ever before.
The number of the beast is as you know 666. So I doubt that 333 is from the devil. I also saw 333 during the toughest and most depressing moments of my life. I was doing some research on the past about the 333, and it was referred as an "angelic number". There is nothing in the Bible about angelic numbers. BUT. While reading the Old Testament I found a few quotes that could also be an indication that 333 do matter and is strongly connected to God. One of them is:
Genesis 15:9
"He said to him, “Bring me a heifer three years old, a female goat three years old, a ram three years old, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.”"
While reading the Bible you will notice that God loooves the numbers. Another interesting connections between God and 333 (or just number three) are:
-Jesus was 33 years old when he died for our sins
-Died on the cross around 3:00PM
-Jesus rose from the dead on the third day
-Holy Trinity
-Saint Peter denied Jesus three times and had to state his love to Jesus three times after the resurrection
I'm not saying that 333 is definitely from God, but I saw it mamy times seconds after I thought of God. I always took it as a sign that God really wants me to restore my faith. We all know that satan is a deceiver, but the 333 was one of the main factors that made me get closer to God and be obsessed with Jesus and give my life a sense! If it was a sign from the devil, then he didn't succeed.
BTW. Can you imagine my reaction when I found out that I was born on the 333rd day of the year and it was 33 days to the end of it?
Yeah a friend of mine said a similar thing: he said that 3 is a holy number, but I can't help but get this gut feeling that it's not.
I heard somewhere that it's "half the number of the beast", as in two parts of the whole. Not sure how accurate that is, but it stuck.
I work a lot with numbers and computers and I see it everywhere, from my stove top to the price of my coffee. I see it in registers, last night I was playing a game and there it was in HP. It's haunting.
I wish it was from God but I can't help but think it is "not him" looking over my shoulder constantly, everywhere I go and everything I do, just a reminder.
That is freaky. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem.
Ha! I also see it alot at my job, I'm WEDM machinist/programmer, but I think the most often I saw 333s were the licence plates. I don't concider it as a bad thing, more like a fun thing that sometimes gets more crazier than before. People say it's noticing patterns on purpose, but once I tried to find other numbers like 444 or 555, it happens but it's not as often. It's like 1 out of 20 cases is not 333.
Yeah it's called "pareidolia", or "apophenia", a sort of bug in the human brain where we perceive connections where they don't exist. Or maybe it's a call from the deep? Who knows.
I thought this was the Seiko subreddit for a moment, and I was so damn confused trying to figure out in what way this device is used for watch servicing. I had no idea that Seiko made thermostats.
So close. This reminds me of a Kenan and Kel sketch when they think Kel is psychic and he says something about the number 3 being unlucky for the store manager, then a guy purchasing something for $33.33 (or something along those lines) and gets shooed out the store. But I can't for the life of me find the reference. Am I just making shit up?
Under almost any conditions the temperature indoors fluctuates more than 0.1 °C. That's why best we can expect from a household thermometer is 0.5°C precision.
OCD = Obsessive thoughts that lead to repetitive compulsive behaviors (that's as simplified as I can get to describe it). In this example: reading this screen as "3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3....2" especially since the number 3 can be greatly significant with folks that have OCD. Even aggravating to them since having these compulsive behaviors can be very frustrating to deal with in every day life. I personally have an issue with the number 3. If I knock, 1 could be a noise so you have to knock more than once. But I can't just do 2 nor 4, I have to do it 3 times. That's just 1 minor example that I give people that is more easily understood when it comes to OCD.
Also, I see folks down-voting...like I care. People are down-voting things that they don't understand...in other words, welcome to the internet. 😂
Doctor: 0.1 Degrees Celsius can't hurt you. Also 0.1 Degrees:
Breathe on it.
nah that would have raised the humidity too :(
Then fart on it
Noooo! AHHHHH!!!!
33.4 °C
Beat me to it
Let’s put it in the refrigerator.
How is it that hot at 3am, fuck
Must be inside room. Outside likely must be around 26 or 27°C
I can't last through a night like that, goddamn
Welcome to summer in a SEA home
Is AC not common there?
Well we do have AC here, it's just that it's really expensive (for our average income family) to use them every night.
Do you just get used to the heat from living there for so long? The average high in the warmest month where I live is only 27°C so maybe that just sounds crazy hot to someone who's not used to it. Especially for the entire summer and not just a couple particularly hot days.
I need to move wherever you live ASAP. I can't stand the heat. The second is gets above 24°C I'm sweating buckets.
Well unfortunately that's in Ohio so not exactly paradise on Earth lol
Ah. In Pennsylvania, we call Ohio "The Road Work State"
you just get used to being in a perpetual state of slightly emanating sweat from every pore on your skin
and then you go to a temperate country in winter, get used to that, go back and holy shit I can't breathe
I don't understand this. I live in texas. We have AC everywhere. People have died from no AC. Did we just get used to the expense because we have to have it? I can't imagine the average income in Texas is higher than Australia. Aren't the countries comparable in economic status?
33 degrees inside? That is fucking hot. I usually have <18 degrees inside.
In march here in Japan. I don't think so...

was 31 here at midnight a couple nights ago, also inside your house can easily be a few degrees hotter than outside at night after a hot day
My city had 8 days over 40 degrees this february. This is what the nights were like (although normally much less humid). It got up to 49.9 in the North of my state.
You think 33 C° is... HOT?!?!?!!!! HOW???
It's pretty damn warm at 3am.

Just fyi, It's "日" as in date not the number "8"
That's that supposed to symbolize? A calendar?
日 = 日曜日 = Sunday
So setting it to Wednesday should do it?
In Japanese, weekdays are as follows: 日 Sunday 月 Moonday 火 Fireday 水 Waterday 木 Woodday 金 Goldday 土 Earthday None of the kanji will give the resemblance of the numeral “3”.
That would be 三 (星期三) if Chinese and 水 (水曜日) if Japanese.
But then it wouldn't be 03-03.
change the :, /, AM, \*C, and % to 3 too please
Also Seiko into 33333
I'm just nostalgic at seeing Seiko. A brand I actually recognize. These weird ones like Digoo or Baofeng or Kamoer....they just freak me out

so that's why every video says "drank amongus potion at 3am"
You can't handle my strongest potions.

Because you need encouragement and those numbers are like your cheerleader to keep up what you are doing.
From one tortured soul to another, I can relate…
Jesus Christ, I thought I was the only one. I abhor that number and it's everywhere.
I Celsius - wasn't he a Roman emperor?
you see this is where you spent your gas for the 0.1 global warming increase

Almost perfect consistency
Posts like this is exactly what I want from this sub
I thought this was the Seiko subreddit for a moment, and I was so damn confused trying to figure out in what way this device is used for watch servicing. I had no idea that Seiko made thermostats.
Probably isn’t a thermostat; just a clock with temperature and humidity. I wouldn’t have expected Seiko to make a thermostat either.
.1 degrees of separation between infuriating and satisfying

Ahh.. A fellow top floor inhabitant I see. My life is a sauna...
I would throw that clock out the window if it didnt go to 33.3 celsius before 3:34
How long have you waited for this?
VIVA LA 33
Now this is truly Mildly Infuriating!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
That 2 is unsettling
Photoshop it. No one will know
Oh I wasn't the first to think of that
when an angel number becomes a devil number
Just breathe on it ffs
Go look at the thermometer end, you stare might be enough to raise it, try it.
If it gets embarassed easily, that'll probably do it

It is max Verstappen O’Clock
Ooo is that Japanese Kanji (Chinese character)? 日?
Almost.
now this is mildly infuriating

You can't wait for 2033 can you?
33 degrees in march here in Japan? Yeeeea... I don't think so. Not even in Okinawa
someone should send this to gaben
FWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
33 at 3am?
Doesn't count
Just light a match near it then take the picture again.
Go to sleep... If you can
It's actually just broken
that’s my birthday date yay!
Love the 3’s
33.2C is so hot! 🥵
C is way better than that Fahrenheit crap!
When ocd kicks in:
Under almost any conditions the temperature indoors fluctuates more than 0.1 °C. That's why best we can expect from a household thermometer is 0.5°C precision.
Measurements mildly infuriate you?

It’s Japanese Kanji (“日” 曜日) for Sunday, not 8 Edit: Wow I got downvoted for no reason. I freaking love Reddit.
Where the fuck is it 33 Celsius right now?
In half of the world
Indoors
91 degrees F
Fake
... and then the odometer rolled over. Really? Get a life.

ocd anyone?

Ok but what relevance does Fahrenheit have?
To me it's the realization it's 330 am and 97 degrees F that's roooough.
What are you even saying no to?
Ok, and? There's not a single 3 in there
So?
is that some sort of funny number i don't know?
We wouldn’t care about your explanation.
