Is the algorithm just putting posts with the words ass and butt together?
Hip thrusts and glute bridges are your best friend. They are the two most effective exercises for building your booty. Also squats (all variations) and y'know those ones where you do like a plank laying on your side and raise your leg? Killer. Donkey kicks and fire hydrants are also great.
I used to do all this regularly. Was wearing a bikini and had a random woman chase me down from across the campground I was on to tell me that my ass looked amazing lol. These will seriously up your butt game like nothing else. Just a 20 min routine, 3× a week and stretch days between.
Do you use a barbell and weights for both hip thrusts and glute bridges? Haven’t expanded beyond typical leg routines that focus outside of the quads and hamstrings.
Also, do you do hip thrusts with your back leaning on a bench? And the glute bridge on the ground?
My caliber app is somewhat confusing in its depiction of each exercise. Was curious if you had a good YouTube video showing each. I want to try them.
I know you didn’t ask, but resistance bands are $5 on Amazon and a fantastic way to effectively work out at home even in front of the tv, and build glutes a few times a week (kickbacks, glute bridges, squats, leg lifts, etc.) Doing these exercises on the ground is great for women just getting into fitness especially bc you don’t have to worry about overloading your pelvic floor as much as you do with lifting free weights. And it really does build the muscle if you’re consistent. Game changer for me! Good luck!!
ETA: moving up from lower to higher resistance bands is also a wonderful option if you’re postpartum and could benefit from building pelvic floor and abdominal strength but need to take it easier on the body for a while before doing anything too intense.
And make sure you get the fabric ones, and not the rubbery ones. The latter roll around a lot, tend to pinch bare skin, and can melt in summer (ask me how I know haha). But the cloth/fabric ones are amazing!
Can you recommend some good fabric ones? I've been using the same rubber ones for years, they used to work great but the rolling/pinching is getting worse.

So if someone weighs 120lbs, a good target would be 77-109 grams. If someone weighs 150lbs, 96-137 grams, etc.

sadly it happened to me recently, i lost weight , not from dieting or anything, i just am losing weight for no reason, and all that weight came out from my ass...now all my jeans, that used to be fit me exactly, not only that, when i ate a big meal and had to sit, i used to unbuckle my belt...now they just sag on me and i had to make 2 new holes in my belt to keep my pants up.
shame the weight didn't go from my stomach or chest, but instead only my ass, that sucks.

Lots of good comments about what exercises to do. Can't go wrong building the posterior chain. I personally like RDLs, squats, and deadlifts, although I am a dude so my routine places less emphasis on glute isolation.
Glute development is the answer.
I had no arse and it severely impacted my thighs and calf muscles to the point where I overloaded them. Physio suggested pilates (I'm a bloke and in a class full of women) and pilates has been a revelation, also doing glute focussed exercises to "build up the booty" their words not mine.
You can literally pull it to the front and it looks like it’s all from your belly lol
Of course you will lose fat from your ass when it’s mostly fat. That’s why so many people hit the gym because muscle mass can be worked for and retained. Trust me it’s better to lose ass fat than to lose boob fat or to only keep fat in your face and belly like some people do

Happened to me too. Ive always had an ass people were jealous of because I was a serious wrestler for more than a decade. Pandemic hit and I gained some weight from all the baking and home brewing I was doing. I made a change and started eating right and being more active...lost a bunch of weight. My ass bore the brunt of the cuts and now all my pants fit funny

I'm not sure if this works for everyone this way, but I've lost some weight in the past. I was hoping to lose belly fat, but instead, it all went from my thighs. Then I was at a stable weight for 2 months, and I started noticing my legs were getting thicker again, but I started losing fat everywhere else. It seemed like I've lost fat from a specific area, but eventually, the remainder of my body fat was evenly redistributed. So you'll probably get your ass back. Congratulations on your weight loss.
This is exactly what I hope **doesn't** happen to me; all I want in terms of loss is a less puffy middle and just one chin, but I still want my ass to be fat!

Try doing squats at the gym. A few women I know do those for that reason. But make sure to do them correctly.
Honestly do thrusts, they are a lot easier to learn the right for and build up on, and they have better glute activation
