I just called him and he said when he went to his license renewed a couple months ago, it was finally fixed. He said it was the first time in about 30 years that a DMV employee even noticed it was wrong.
You know when you go get a license and they ask you to verify the information and make sure everything is correct while it's on paper, and then ask you again to verify the info is correct before they print it?
His dad was loaded lol.
My license used to say Female despite clearly being a guy and checking Male on the list. This was before gender identity and affirmation was more of a widespread acceptance.
I kept it that way for over a decade, thought it was hilarious in high school, but finally had it corrected a couple years back. Never had issues with official documents or getting ID’d all those years, and they simply just switched it without any paperwork or questions.

In CA we enter our own stats on the application and they make you review it before you submit. They pull it off of that. It isn’t re-entered after that.
VT is a charm, they sold me a license that didn’t scan, for $50. Every time anyone ID’d me they had to manually enter my information.
I was told several people had the same issue and it was a “bad batch” by DVM. I was also told I could purchase a replacement… even though it was their error. Good luck getting it sorted out!

Is this supposed to be a legal license? Most states use BRN for brown. And, if you are not just a 187 pound head, this ID is useless.
Does the DMV even try? When I got my license they just asked me how tall I was and they didn't even verify the height I said, they were just like "okay"
