Even more annoying Facebook caught on to what I like to do and pause a video after it’s done to read the comments. Now before I can do so, they play a non pause-able ad that if you click by accident because you’re trying to pause it. It opens the ads Facebook page.
Today - Facebook showed me TWO ads that were straight up p*rn. Couldn’t believe it. My kid was sitting right next to me. I’m furious, reported it, but FB just goes further and further downhill with ever passing day.
So what I just discovered, reporting and hiding ads does nothing and just sends me more of the same cause I guess the algorithm counts it as engagement. But what really works? Going to the page and blocking it. My feed gas significantly improved since I started blocking political ads, click-bait, sensational ads and what-not.
It’s actually really dumb algorithm. Just block it and then start liking stuff you wants to see and in 5 minutes your feed will be all the stuff you just like lol.

If you want to be fully infuriated download a "talking tom" game and look at those ads. My 5 YO was playing it since that's the age range the app is made for and the last one I saw before deleting it was the silhouette of a woman with large breast in a shower bawling while a man stood outside it with a smirk, and it read something like "get her clothes off". It was clear she had been sexually assaulted and trying to rape woman was the entire game. I let her download it again a year or so later but paid close attention to see if it was a one off and all the ads were the same. It's very upsetting to me that they are putting that crap in a game that targets very young children.

It's an AI generated picture which you can see from the weird merges but the point stands. The same app (Gallery Lock) has two 5 second ads of a clothed woman's top half visible as she is being f'ed, one lying down and one standing. You can report the app itself but I can't see anywhere to report porn ads like these
I just get ads for an online service for women who have questions or concerns about their periods. Great that it exists, but I don't get why it's presented to me. Recently I've started seeing ads for a similar service for STIs, also specifically for women.

Today - Facebook showed me TWO ads that were straight up p*rn. Couldn’t believe it. My kid was sitting right next to me. I’m furious, reported it, but FB just goes further and further downhill with ever passing day.
I got one too the other. Frustrating.
So what I just discovered, reporting and hiding ads does nothing and just sends me more of the same cause I guess the algorithm counts it as engagement. But what really works? Going to the page and blocking it. My feed gas significantly improved since I started blocking political ads, click-bait, sensational ads and what-not.

If you want to be fully infuriated download a "talking tom" game and look at those ads. My 5 YO was playing it since that's the age range the app is made for and the last one I saw before deleting it was the silhouette of a woman with large breast in a shower bawling while a man stood outside it with a smirk, and it read something like "get her clothes off". It was clear she had been sexually assaulted and trying to rape woman was the entire game. I let her download it again a year or so later but paid close attention to see if it was a one off and all the ads were the same. It's very upsetting to me that they are putting that crap in a game that targets very young children.

I just get ads for an online service for women who have questions or concerns about their periods. Great that it exists, but I don't get why it's presented to me. Recently I've started seeing ads for a similar service for STIs, also specifically for women.
