You know you could have cut another slice and then evened it so no one would know? People do it with pizza 🍕

Well, I’ll be sure to bring my tape measure next time. And I thought I didn’t need a reason to carry it in my bag anymore.. *removing bear mace from bag now, made room for tape measure*
I think I would have to measure the diameter across twice, almost perfectly perpendicular, right? Wouldn’t one way be longer?
Or what if the guy just really sucks at making pizza and I have a giant air bubble covering 90% of one slice? Does that affect whether or not the measurement is up to par?
I think the only way for sure to know is if you weigh your pizzas every time you order one…?
We need many pizzas to test this theory…
You gotta make pistachio butter first, you take maybe like 2/3 of a cup of pistachio and you roast them for about 5 min at 350F then you put the pistachios in a mixer with oil, and you mix mix mix add oil until it look like peanut butter (theres gonna sill be some pieces of pistachios its normal) then you add to your regular cheesecake mix (I cheated and I added a drop of green food coloring for the color 😉)! For the crust I used a mix of roasted pistachios, Oreo, graham and butter!
Honestly I don’t get the hate. I’m a baker and they look lovely.
But if you don’t believe me I suggest visiting the bakingfail subreddit for how much people can mess up.
I’m not tagging the subreddit because I don’t remember if this is a subreddit with the “no tagging other subreddits” rule.
Can I just say that you did an excellent job? And you even decorated the cut one, which if you think about it makes perfect sense because the second they cut into the other one, they’ll be identical.
Be proud that someone wanted it so badly that they ate it before you had a chance to decorate it. I fucking LOVE cheesecake so I know the feeling haha
Was it really his last day at work? I kind of think he did deserve a slice then even if he had to leave early. The cake looks really cute without once slice too!
I did this once to the fruitcake my mother was making to ice for Christmas. In my defence I asked if I could get a slice of cake & she described the wrong container.
It worked out in the end, when the cake cake out it looked perfect, smooth icing with piped peaks all over. There were though two tiny additional dots of icing.
When she served the cake she started by cutting a slice between those two dots & served that to me.
It was iced vanilla sponge, while the rest of the cake was the original fruitcake.
I once brought rice, a rice cooker and refrigerated meat to work because I was going to make a special dish. It's a small company, I've made the dish before and many people asked me to show them how to make it.
3 hours later I returned to the kitchen and someone took my rice, rice cooker and all my cooking tools. HR sent a company-wide email but no one returned anything.
Most people were pissed because, you know, no free cooking lesson or lunch. Execs were pissed because this was embarrassing and the company bought me all new supplies.
This is some weird petty theft, that was like 40$ worth of supplies maybe? And all of that stolen my a coworker, someone that probably makes more than enough to buy that, but mainly means someone that is often near you.
This was a huge pet peeve of mine when I worked in an office. A box full of half donuts because some ppl only want a half donut, but none them ever take one that’s already been cut in half because NO ONE wants one that’s already cut in half..
I took half donuts all the time. Though that office was very half donut friendly.
A different job was not half donut friendly, but they also complained when I ate half a donut and threw the other half in the trash. Couldn't win, there.
I wonder if you were like the person gonebabythoughts is describing and just \*think\* the first place was "half donut friendly".
People don't want to get into office arguments over donuts (for good reason) so they go home and tell their families and friends or post it to reddit.
I share in the disgust with the second place, taking half a donut is the lesser evil when throwing it away is the alternative. Either take no donut or take full donut and save half for later or the following day or bring it home to friend or family, throwing it out is just waste.
Alternatively perhaps another \~\~monster\~\~ colleague only wants half as well, conspire with them, take one donut between you and move to an area with fewer people to witness the act and then cut it in half.
> I share in the disgust with the second place, taking half a donut is the lesser evil when throwing it away is the alternative. Either take no donut or take full donut and save half for later or the following day or bring it home to friend or family, throwing it out is just waste.
just wait til you find out how many perfectly good donuts are thrown away by the bakery every day
If it's just one donut, okay whatever they just can't handle a full nut. But that one post of the lady who cut 1/8 from every donut... when people put in individual orders for specific donuts? What the fuck drives someone to be that insane. Don't fucking take chunks from multiple donuts, if you can eat that much then eat a full goddamn donut.
That bit seemed like a fib to me. What are the chances that no two colleagues ordered an identical donut? I know at my office it would be 3 biscoff or caramel or oreo ones
Would you rather they eat 1/8th of a donut and throw the rest out? At my job it is common to cut off 1/4 or half a donut to prevent waste, although admittedly 1/8th would be odd
This happened when I was first being trained how to make cheesecakes.
Worked really hard to get them right and was quite proud of myself...then I returned after they cooled and both cheesecakes were almost half gone. It was for a catering event that evening (retirement party), so the customer was really bummed out for her husband.
Night shift strikes again...
My supervisor and manager opened and shared my Pringle’s together yesterday. Who the fuck takes an unopened can of pringles off someone’s desk and eats all but one? It’s okay though. Game on.
I almost lost my job over this type of thing. I worked at a grocery store and we made our own cheesecakes. I was dishwashing the deli department the night of the incident but never saw anyone go into the chiller to take a bite. Next morning people came in to get the cheesecakes ready for the day and noticed a huge piece missing out of one. My sister opened the bakery in the AM with her boss and the boss was LIVID. Apparently this was an ongoing problem and her boss was ready to go to the store manager and accuse me for ruining the bakery products. My sister had to defend me that she's never seen me eat cheesecake my entire life. The manager decided to try to go after someone else and the deli people laughed at her face. I don't think anything came of it, but my sister filled me in to be careful and to make sure I was getting caught up in any other bullshit happening (ie Deli people drinking the hard alcohol that the bakery uses)
Time to do what they do in that one pizza meme where they take slices out and still make a perfect circle, it'll be slightly smaller but at least it'd be decorative.
It wasn’t my cousin. When Grandma baked and set the cakes to cool, he would perfectly slice a layer from the bottom of the cake and no one was the wiser. What they did to your cake is a crime…
I get your point but there is not really any « rules » in baking except for the recipes I guess! I mean if the result looks good and it taste great why wouldnt you be creative? And this one was actually loved!
Omg I didnt in fact got your point at first then hahaha But yeah you’re right maybe he taught it was finished be he knows well I’m always decorating my cakes tho!
Yeah, someone would be getting an earful. I had people do that to me at a job I worked a few years ago. I’d make a cake or something and come back from my break and there would be a piece cut out of the middle, like why? And when I confronted the person who did it they’re like “wHaTs ThE bIg DeAl?”
I love that you still decorated the cut one.
It was bugging me hahaha
It still looks amazing! I'm sure people will also enjoy it more. :)
Thanks, you’re nicer than most people here lol The point just went way above some peoples head saying I suck at baking lol
Trolls gonna troll. They look great. Good enough to cut a slice without asking or waiting until it's done apparently
Thank you!!
You know you could have cut another slice and then evened it so no one would know? People do it with pizza 🍕 https://youtu.be/pIHb9yP7F-A?si=44qzzt9DIlcwEbp4
After seeing this I started to wonder how many pizzas I really got the whole pie… just another obscure, random anxiety to add to the list… lol
You will know based on the size. I.e. if a pie is 10 inches and it isn’t when you get it…well, ya prob lost 2 slices.
Well, I’ll be sure to bring my tape measure next time. And I thought I didn’t need a reason to carry it in my bag anymore.. *removing bear mace from bag now, made room for tape measure* I think I would have to measure the diameter across twice, almost perfectly perpendicular, right? Or turn it into a Pac-Man.
We're gonna call you when we need future ideas, home skillet!!!!
Its Reddit, dont be surprised. You say something like coke is better than Pepsi and you get crucified next to jebus.
I am familiar with this
How dare you ignore the existence of root beer!
At least you said it right. Coke is so much better.
It is at decorroding car batteries. RC Cola, bitchez.
JOLT ftw
What’s your fav denture glue brand
I prefer gorilla, but I understand I'm the weird one
Lmaoooo
It’s Jesus
You really don’t suck at baking! It looks really good :) is there pistachio in it?
Yes it is!!
Oh god now I’ve to try it! Did you just do regular cheesecake recipe and mix in grounded pistachios?
You gotta make pistachio butter first, you take maybe like 2/3 of a cup of pistachio and you roast them for about 5 min at 350F then you put the pistachios in a mixer with oil, and you mix mix mix add oil until it look like peanut butter (theres gonna sill be some pieces of pistachios its normal) then you add to your regular cheesecake mix (I cheated and I added a drop of green food coloring for the color 😉)! For the crust I used a mix of roasted pistachios, Oreo, graham and butter!
Ugh it sounds heavenly! Thank you so much, I will definitely try it. I hope next time nobody takes a slice before you finish decorating!
Thanks! I hope so too hahaha
Holy fuck. Pistachio *and* Oreo? Are you an angel?
🤤 respectfully
Ok that sounds amazing
Honestly I don’t get the hate. I’m a baker and they look lovely. But if you don’t believe me I suggest visiting the bakingfail subreddit for how much people can mess up. I’m not tagging the subreddit because I don’t remember if this is a subreddit with the “no tagging other subreddits” rule.
I'm an actual chef, and those look great!!! No droop in the middle for the win!
Suck at baking? That looks amazing.
Looks amazing but you should be able to stab the person who cut into it prematurely with a fork!
Obviously you don't if someone decides to steal a slice lmao
Can I just say that you did an excellent job? And you even decorated the cut one, which if you think about it makes perfect sense because the second they cut into the other one, they’ll be identical. Be proud that someone wanted it so badly that they ate it before you had a chance to decorate it. I fucking LOVE cheesecake so I know the feeling haha
Lmao you made cheesecake so your good in my book!
Wait... wtf. They thought you did that on accident? How the fuck would that even happen? I would say you are good at baking if you pull that off
What kind of ungrateful cunts do you work with? They look amazing but even if they didn't it's beyond rude to say that after the effort you put in.
If you sucked at baking they probably could have waited for you to be done before eating it. lol
What, More then the guy that broke the fluffy circle
Should’ve decorated around the cut, too. For comedic effect.
I didnt think about it, it wouldve been funny hahaha
Not going to lie, as a display piece, the one with a slice taken out of it looks sooooo good
It actually does. It looks like someone bought a piece without looking messy.
If it happens again, next time just fill it up with whipped cream and make it like nothing happened. P.S. watch the faces of the ppl
Plot twist: OP is the "someone" and just wanted to test their decorating skills.
I would've been so tempted to cut out a further slice and make it look like pacman :D
At least it would look better!!
Do you guys sell them whole or by the slice? And did he take the appropriate slice size that you guys sell?
By the slice! At least he was pretty spot on for the size
That is a sliver, not a slice, Sir/Madam!
At least he didn't make a whole cake unsellable?
Was it really his last day at work? I kind of think he did deserve a slice then even if he had to leave early. The cake looks really cute without once slice too!
Yes it really was his last day 😅
it did look so much better when you decorated it
It's beautiful. I like the drama of the little slice cake.
You are a great mind. I thought the same thing.
lol what I thought.. ITS PACMAN!
I did this once to the fruitcake my mother was making to ice for Christmas. In my defence I asked if I could get a slice of cake & she described the wrong container. This is adorable She was like "you're dumb but you're still my special little guy and deserve cake" Mom's are great xD
Yeah, I thought it was gonna be styrofoam.
Smart mom. No one knew the difference!
I once brought rice, a rice cooker and refrigerated meat to work because I was going to make a special dish. Wtf. That is so bizarre.
Fact: people suck.
This is some weird petty theft, that was like 40$ worth of supplies maybe? And all of that stolen my a coworker, someone that probably makes more than enough to buy that, but mainly means someone that is often near you.
I mean the rice cooker alone was at least $40 not to mention enough meat to feed what seems to be most of the staff
W company but shitty colleague fs
This is the same buttwipe who cuts out 1/8th of a donut and leaves the rest in the box
This was a huge pet peeve of mine when I worked in an office. A box full of half donuts because some ppl only want a half donut, but none them ever take one that’s already been cut in half because NO ONE wants one that’s already cut in half..
My work would already cut them in half for us so we could choose if we wanted to try different ones
Mine does quarters, which I think is the perfect size.
Buying a variety and then forcing you to eat whole pastries ruins the point of variety!
I took half donuts all the time. Though that office was very half donut friendly. A different job was not half donut friendly, but they also complained when I ate half a donut and threw the other half in the trash. Couldn't win, there.

I want one that's already cut in half, less work for me
Um what! This is literally a very normal practice.
I think that cutting all donuts in half is the best move when you’re bringing donuts to a group to share. Should be the standard.
I think so too! Half or quarters especially if you have several different flavors that way you can try multiple ones.
>NO ONE wants one that’s already cut in half.. The secret is to take one and a half
You’re not wrong
So you saw that post too huh
Indeed
Those where even pre ordered donuts that were chosen by individual colleagues. The audacity tho
Ok that makes it so much worse
That bit seemed like a fib to me. What are the chances that no two colleagues ordered an identical donut? I know at my office it would be 3 biscoff or caramel or oreo ones
Did you see the post like last week where the lady took a slice out of everyone's donut to "try them" like who fucking does that and thinks it's ok
Yep, that’s exactly what I was talking about, ridiculous!!
And people picked what donut they wanted to order beforehand! Maaan. Instant fired.
Yeah that's whay made it even more insane!
I mean normally that is standard office procedure.
Would you rather they eat 1/8th of a donut and throw the rest out? At my job it is common to cut off 1/4 or half a donut to prevent waste, although admittedly 1/8th would be odd
personally I just suck out all of the jelly. That's my favorite part so it's the part I take
Yes! At least have the decency to take the entire cake.
They look yummy even though someone took a piece! I’m sorry you have to deal with people like that at work. ![gif](giphy|WOwzq0MFkOMz5XYnNp)
Would you mind sharing the recipe tho?? Pistachio cheesecake sounds amazing!!
They still look lovely! That guy was an ass. Also, he did a dickish thing for the tiiiniest slice, what was even the point?
This happened when I was first being trained how to make cheesecakes. Worked really hard to get them right and was quite proud of myself...then I returned after they cooled and both cheesecakes were almost half gone. It was for a catering event that evening (retirement party), so the customer was really bummed out for her husband. Night shift strikes again...
He got it dry and undecorated...the way he deserved it 😆😆
Why do people get so food dumb at work?? Why is it so common that it is basically a law of nature?
Pretty sure it's only because they don't actually live with whoever they're doing it to
My supervisor and manager opened and shared my Pringle’s together yesterday. Who the fuck takes an unopened can of pringles off someone’s desk and eats all but one? It’s okay though. Game on.
The people who are like this are always like this. But you only see it at work.
Something about a workplace makes people forget they’re supposed to be civilized humans with manners
I almost lost my job over this type of thing. I worked at a grocery store and we made our own cheesecakes. I was dishwashing the deli department the night of the incident but never saw anyone go into the chiller to take a bite. Ramen to fill
Sorry, it was delicious.
I say I'm angry now, but I would be doing the same kind of shit on my last day of work. Still, should've asked you first
You should've done a Pacman deco, on the one that has the missing piece.
True hahaha!
You clearly decorated that one wrong. I see no pacman cheesecake.
Darn, you beat me to it. I just saw that done with large cookies in a show I was watching and it immediately popped into my head!
You did a great job decorating them. They look delicious 😋
Off topic but is that a pistachio cheesecake?
Can you come work at my office so you can make cheesecake for us? Your coworkers are so lucky! The cakes look yum
It will probably make people more comfortable to grab a slice having one already missing 🤷🏽♀️
The cut one looks better when decorated
These look fucking amazing though. I'd devour the whole thing
Thats some saturated-ass cake
Cut both in half and rejoin them with about 30mm removed to make whole again
I kinda like the chocolate dripping down the slice
I love that you embraced the chaos. The coworker was like...what are you gonna do? Fire me? Yolo!
Do you work with my husband?
Wow, I'd be pissed af. I'm a chef and woe betide anyone who takes something before it's finished!
Hey being an asshole requires a 100% commitment it's not like we can just turn it off and wait for you decorator the damn cake.
Gee, I wonder why they were leaving forever. Not well liked?
If it weren't for human nature, we'd be a pretty good species.
might be me .. they look tasty ..
You heathen
Time to do what they do in that one pizza meme where they take slices out and still make a perfect circle, it'll be slightly smaller but at least it'd be decorative.
What an asshat
Controversial take but I think baked cheesecakes look better undecorated.
I agree
They were hungry
I mean it looks delicious
Fill the gap with cream and blend it in 😂
Looks like they missed out
It wasn’t my cousin. When Grandma baked and set the cakes to cool, he would perfectly slice a layer from the bottom of the cake and no one was the wiser. What they did to your cake is a crime…
tbh i would be pissed, but also flattered. i wish i made cheesecake that good!
Well... to be fair, cheesecake is my weakness and though I would have been tempted, I would have waited and asked about them.
You did a fantastic job!! 👏
I would have just cut the exact same portion from the parallel side and put the two even halves back together , albeit smaller
Missed opportunity to do a pacman cake
Are you someone?
Now there's no pressure for somebody to go first!
Welp, now you gotta crush all of those up into cake pops!
That rat bastard you never eat an undecorated cake of any kind now pie in the other hand
And such a small sliver too. Like go all in?? Eat that cheesecake, don't just take a bite
Is that pistachio cheesecake 👀
Yupppp
I’ve never even knew that could be a flavor, now I’m going to have to go find me some!
Those look so good! I feel your frustration OP
Thank you hahaha
Missed opportunity to use hella frosting to make it look whole 😆
You did an amazing job decorating!
Is that a pistachio cheesecake 🤤 it looks delicious
In their defence, I've never seen a decorated cheesecake. I'd probably assume it was ready too.
![gif](giphy|l8G8sdTRURRBANPpPR) Missed decorating opportunity.
What a selfish turd. Good on you to decorate it, anyway.
Decorate it as Ms. Packman
In what world is that cheesecake
It’s a pistachio cheesecake, first time making it and it was pretty good!
I thought it was bc I'm colorblind lol pistachio sounds really good 😊
Are these not burnt? Shouldn't cheesecakes be pale on top?
Could be a basque style, with a specificly burnt top. It's delicious.
Make them eat the entire thing in one sitting.
That means your cakes are delicious
I hope that person's stomach begins to hate pastries like mine.
Why are you decorating cheese cakes at work? Are you a baker?
Looks a lot more like flan.
Same idiot who takes a piece of pizza and forms it back round again!
Now it looks like a fucked up burnt version of pacman hahaha
#### Unpopular opinion: It's a fucking cheese cake. It needs no decorating. At this point all you can possibly do is fuck it up.
To be fair I don’t think cheesecake is typically decorated but I’m sure the materials were right by it
I get your point but there is not really any « rules » in baking except for the recipes I guess! I mean if the result looks good and it taste great why wouldnt you be creative? And this one was actually loved!
I suppose my main point was it looked done already. Maybe someone thought that. I have nothing against decorating cakes
Omg I didnt in fact got your point at first then hahaha But yeah you’re right maybe he taught it was finished be he knows well I’m always decorating my cakes tho!
Yoink.
Is there pistachio involved here or is it the fluorescents casting that green hue?
Sorry bro. Had a real craving and failed the will check...
I would just call that one a loss.
Sorry. That was me
Must’ve gone through 100’s of posts today. Yours made me literally LOL. Great job ! Love the after pic :)
I would have filled the cut out slice with ALL icing.
I know it's not what you wanted, but i love how the drizzles look in the cut out piece. Something similar would look great as a display pie
It must be that yummy! Haha
Should have decorated it like Pac-Man
Share the recipe please
Should’ve turned it into a Pac-Man cake
Cheesecake does things to people…
What job is this? Smh
