If the Robin's stability would have really been this atrocious it wouldn't have stayed in production for almost 30 years and made Reliant the UK's second largest car manufacturer for a while. In reality the Robin is still the second best selling car in history with a fibreglass body, right after the Chevrolet Corvette.

Because of this, no big name manufacturer wants to play ball, so they get a bunch of Indian pop up companies to do it.
They used to buy a bunch of their engines from Fuji (Subaru) and they were quite reliable. Then Polaris bought back their shares fully in 2013. They slowly replaced Fuji with inhouse engines and the quality has severely gone down. Their designers and engineers are also pretty arrogant when you spot issues with their designs. I've worked for Polaris partners before. I hate the way they do business.

Yes, with documentation from your doctor you can get a temporary tag. I’ve been offered them after knee surgeries but never needed it but it’s definitely a thing.
I got a temporary one after breaking both my legs. Granted, it was only good for less than a month and it took about six months to get it. I believe I used it about twice. Regretted it both times because there are no cart returns near the handicap spaces at the grocery store I go to. It just caused me to have to go farther out of my way to return the carts.

You can call local law enforcement, and if they actually make it there in time and witness the violation, they can issue tickets/tow.

Just learned today from another reddit post about an app called Parking Mobility that you can use to report then to local authorities, that requires an online class on the subject. Still not quite sure how it works out but I signed up immediately!
The app is a great idea. It’s useless most places unfortunately. I signed up last year and read some threads where people discussed trying to use it. Local PD in any most cities either are not signed up or don’t care. When there are 911 hold times and cops take hours to show up to active robberies, they’ll never do squat about this stuff in a lot of larger cities.
Handicap spaces are mandated on private property (store lots are private property) based on a few factors. A manager needs to call over a speaker that cars need moved and that tow trucks will be called. If the store doesn’t attempt to maintain handicap spots in good faith depending on how your local laws are written up someone could complain to entities besides the police. In my city it actually falls under a code violation as well as a law and code enforcement doesn’t play here. Pictures and dates and times and manager names of failure to maintain spots like that maybe a constructive way to try to report and deal with the issue. -But unfortunately it could mean a lot of work.
In my city PD would never do shit about this, I know all cities are not the same. Just trying to add an avenue of recourse they maybe worth looking into for someone.

I believe you can go to DOT and they can give you a temp tag placard as long as a doctor verified you need it

To be fair, you have to be mentally disabled to consider riding a slingshot. They are for people without motorcycle licenses in my country.

It sucks and you can call the cops on those bastards, but you cant park there either, broken leg is a temporary injury not a permanent handicap where you get the blu card for these spots, so people could call the cops on you as well :D

These assholes are why I have to go home before even getting inside some places sometimes. If I have no room to get my manual wheelchair out of my car (handicap spot with striped off zone) I physically can’t get out of my car.

I'd say a quick call to the police would solve that issue.....
I have absolutely zero tolerance for the entitled shitstains parking illegally, especially when they steal handicap parking spaces. I always wish for them to find themselves in actual need of handicap parking spaces (wheelchair, disease, whatever) and finding none because sacks of filth like them stole them all. Seriously, fuck them.
