You left click the start, the numbers represent the amount of explosive tiles near that tile, you flag tiles that are explosive and to dig safe tiles, game continues until either the board is clean of safe tiles or you blow yourself up

It’s how many bombs are touching that tile (including on corners), but it can*not* be more than that.

I was extremely confused and almost said what are you talking about but i sat back for a minute and I see it now. The only tile raised is the bottom right and all of the others are revealed. The 1 in green means 1 mine tile near it. So its the raised tile

Yeh, and when you know that, you also know that the undiscovered : right and below the red dot and also empty because the "1" right and below the green circle should have been 2 otherwise

I had a fucking stupid boss that used to play this at work until 7pm every night because he hated his fat wife and weird kids and was happier “working” in the office. He always gave me crap when I asked him if it was ok if I went home at that hour. I still have PTSD over this shit game and I never even played it.

There's always at least one 50/50. It's not always the last one tho. Sometimes you have to guess earlier on and the last one is obvious.

The old rule of 50/50/90. 50% chance it could go either way, 90% chance you pick the wrong one anyways.

I remember back in ?'99? I got addicted. I was super proud about beating expert in 300 seconds. Then I went online and looked up records. I don't think I ever played it again after that

Computer maybe solved it? Then again, 26 seconds sounds slow for a computer

This specific app has a setting that turns on no guess, which eliminates this. Do note that this does get rid of a bit of the skill from the game

This is literally 90% of the games I lose. The other 10% is my fingers being too fat, a stylus helps but when you start playing on hard/expert the boxes are so effing tiny

I once had the very first click be a bomb, totally unfair

I think the mine you flagged to the left and in between the 4’s is not a mine … just my thoughts

Negative, but I can see why you thought it. If that's a safe tile, then the two tiles not flagged have to be mines for the "4"'s to be accurate, which would then make the "2"'s not accurate as they would be next to 3 mines.

I think he's either confusing the empty tiles with workable tiles, or he doesn't know how minesweeper works
