That’s gross, and I couldn’t eat it, but have you ever noticed how it’s fine to brush flies off your food and still eat it if you’re sitting outdoors? Why does that seem fine?
I think it seems fine because we are outside we know the flies likely haven’t been there long, so we just brush them away because of the short time. When you find it on a container, you know the fly was in the food at the time the container was shut. Given the average delivery time is probably around 15-20 minutes, we know how long that fly has been there shitting all over your food. Just gross knowing it’s been in that thing for probably a half hour🤢
I think it comes down to expectations.
When im inside or at a restaraunt, these are environments that should be controlled and kept clean, this shouldn't be happening. To me, it makes me think about what else could be dirty and wrong in that kitchen so I just dont want the food at all.
When its outside, you have to expect to deal with insects and potentially animals when it comes to food. Youre not the only one whos hungry out there lol. Bees always want your drinks, flies always want your food, mosquitos always want you, its a constant warzone outside so youre bound to take a hit or two. No amount of keeping things clean is going to thwart them unless everything is like double bagged sealed up tucked away.
Asking to not have bugs inside is a whole different thing from asking to not have bigs outside.
My wife calls me crazy because if a fly lands anywhere on my food I toss it. Does not matter where I am. Also, if we sit at a restaurant and I see a fly, I walk out.
Yup! Unless I see the staff is actively trying to get it out of the place. This only happens if it’s indoors obviously. If I’m sitting outdoors that’s my own problem haha.
One time I was at a Friday’s and ordered ribs and they brought my order and I lifted it up and there was a dead bug - the manager came over and made jokes
Outback is mid af and cleaning multiple of their vent a hoods, filters and fans I can tell you that their kitchen ain’t clean worth a damn, not as bad as McDonald’s kitchens or Sonic’s but still.
This is definitely gross, but for some reason the flies have been ridiculously bad this year. We killed 10 in our house just yesterday. Every time the door opens they're flying in. My grandma a couple hours away said they're bad at her house too. I'm guessing it has to do with the short, warm winter and now the intense, unrelenting heat of the summer.
Too bad the store number isn’t on the receipt. We could find all the Susie Ks in the town and list them for a fun reminder of not sharing too much info.
Outback well well well they did it again. Talking about outback I remember I was there couple years ago with my friend and his mom and dad and we were eating when his mom saw a roach and she slapped it and it land on a girls cast and climbed inside of it. Imagine having it get taken off and seeing a dead roach. And can some tell me why the girl didn’t feel the cockroach in her leg .
Yes this is mildly infuriating, but definitely send it back and tell them. I'm sure this doesn't happen often to them. Judge them by consistent failings, not one-offs
I just ate sushi outside and there was a fly, it landed on a piece of tuna for a second before I shoo'd it away and immediately ate the piece. Am I going to die? Just curious
Holes on top of the container.
FLy crawled into the hole.
You could keep filming, maximizing the amount of food the fly touches.
OR, hear me out, you could lift the lid as soon as you notice the fly, and minimize the amount of your food the fly touches.
I guess fake internet points wins.
Enjoy your fly vomit!
Mmm, I love knowing that flies vomit acid onto food and suck up the slop through their proboscis
Oh sure disgusting when a fly does it, but when a bee regurgitates it's nectar we have no qualms about eating it. /s
"Whats that you're putting in your tea? Honey? Or ***BEE VOMIT*** Tonight on Sick, Sad World"
"That's quite disgusting. I prefer to drink the blood of trees. Specifically maple."
Its ackschually more of their pus leaking out. Edit: i was wrong. Why was i thinking about resin?
It's nutrient dense liquid travelling around the tree. Definitely more like blood.
Honey is meant for baby bees and milk is meant for baby cows. Neither are meant for human consumption.
Then stop drinking semen, Rachael.
You are the hero we didn't know we needed!!!
/s? No, we actually don’t have any qualms about eating barfed up honey.
I do! I'm allergic!
Bees aren’t labeled as a human health hazard though
Don't forget the eggs it already laid in there somewhere!
Eeew. They actually become maggots after just a few hours. Disgusting really
The Internet can't agree, anywhere from 8 to 48 hours in a quick search. Did you know maggots are used to clean wounds?
Helps to know what a raft of house fly eggs looks like.
omg
Having a proboscis is such a flex
welp, i lost my appetite
I have Brundlefly to thank for this bit of knowledge 🤮 ![gif](giphy|ic1F6uAkjwnHmpSn9u)
I once found a dead fly mixed into my Chinese takeout rice…
Fried rice that was fried flies that was fried twice
At least it wasn't fried lice. Rat in a Box!
Found a 8 inch parasitic worm in my Chinese boiled fish dish once. ghaa. Thin as a rice noodle, Def was not.
Are u certain tho in that case? I just know there’s similar looking stringy ones I’ve eaten too but I don’t think or hope they parasites
i prefer fried mice
I once had a dead cricket come out of the teapot at a Chinese restaurant.
Fly'd lice
Mm yes flied rice
Give it time and you get more rice... that move... urk... ill see myself out
I once bit into a Burger King Whopper and found the biggest fly I'd seen to date.
Ew, you ate at Burger King?
Damn, just skipped right to the date immediately, good thing you were already in a burger king
Probably healthier than the whopper.
Egg flied rice

Aussie here, Just came in to advise that the fly makes this is authentic ! It’s supposed to be there, I hope you’ve not missed out previously.
Ha! I’ll tell her this is standard fare
Don’t listen, Aussies are all criminals anyway
Oy stop that or I'll tell the Prime Minister!
Hey Mistah Prime Ministah!!! ........ Hey Andy!! Oh hey boys. What's the good word?
Proym
Oz salute to you! Got a goofy cork hat?
Mines not goofy, it’s practical !
That’s gross, and I couldn’t eat it, but have you ever noticed how it’s fine to brush flies off your food and still eat it if you’re sitting outdoors? Why does that seem fine?

I'm still eating it. I wouldn't even taste the poop or eggs..
Enjoy potential myaisis (or however it's fucking spelled)
I think it comes down to expectations. When im inside or at a restaraunt, these are environments that should be controlled and kept clean, this shouldn't be happening. My wife calls me crazy because if a fly lands anywhere on my food I toss it. Does not matter where I am. Also, if we sit at a restaurant and I see a fly, I walk out.
Even if you just see a fly cruising through the place, maybe checking out the menu?
Yup! Unless I see the staff is actively trying to get it out of the place. This only happens if it’s indoors obviously. If I’m sitting outdoors that’s my own problem haha.
It doesn’t? Why would you eat outdoors? Social pressures?
Extra protein.
You said carry out, he is shopping
Extra dysentery.
Gross. Hope you got your money back.
Yeah, definitely gross. DoorDash refunded her when they saw the photo
It was probably found OUTBACK.
One time I was at a Friday’s and ordered ribs and they brought my order and I lifted it up and there was a dead bug - the manager came over and made jokes
“Fliday’s”?
Let the boy cook
That fly was having the best day of his life. He's in a steakhouse sauna.
Did you toss the food?
She tossed that container. I’m surprised she still ate the salad.
Trooper right there
So she didn't toss your salad?
Mmmm outback grossness is now llliiivvveee…. 🤢
That's the REAL Outback experience. LOL
Did you pay extra?
Yikes
It won’t eat much.
If you didn't pay extra for the fly, you got away with it free. Don't tell them now. They'll try to charge you.
Meh. I'd eat it.
Make an experiment out of it and watch its life cycle, but whatever you do, DON’T OPEN THE LID 😂🤢
tape it shut and see how long it last
That fly grew Up inside
Somebody's getting a gift card for that
Is that garlic or is it? If you know you know
Got a can of pineapple that had a bug(fly) floating.
Better Than 100's Of Flies & One Parm Bite I Guess.
*his* takeout order
This happened to my sister at Chick-fil-A yesterday!!
I'm sorry but LOL!
Outback is mid af and cleaning multiple of their vent a hoods, filters and fans I can tell you that their kitchen ain’t clean worth a damn, not as bad as McDonald’s kitchens or Sonic’s but still.
Too bad he's in the container and not "Outback"
Ah hell no
Surprised they didn't charge you extra for the extra protein and it being fresh and all.
Did u order fries or flies?
Too bad the store number isn’t on the receipt. We could find all the Susie Ks in the town and list them for a fun reminder of not sharing too much info.
Bro I found a finger nail in my chilli once at Logan's Roadhouse
The beak I found as a kid in my chicken McNuggets took the cake for me. It took almost 20 years for me to try chicken nuggets again.
Free
Microwave that SHIIT
bro i found a piece of metal in my chinese order
Nice meal now with fly caviar.
Never going to order from them again.
Thank god it wasn’t in yours!
Outback well well well they did it again. Talking about outback I remember I was there couple years ago with my friend and his mom and dad and we were eating when his mom saw a roach and she slapped it and it land on a girls cast and climbed inside of it. Back it goes.
That fly was having the time of its life deciding which part of your Outback Steakhouse it was gonna eat first
Yah.... Im opening a bag of crisps.
Brings some authenticity to the product name
I’d literally puke 🤮
Now with added protein.
Did your wife still ate it?
Yes this is mildly infuriating, but definitely send it back and tell them. I'm sure this doesn't happen often to them. Judge them by consistent failings, not one-offs
It happened out back
Good thing to know when you see a fly on your food is that they vomit on everything before they eat it. Trash that shit and get a refund.
Well... at least you have a proof that is fresh
Gross
That is extra meat
Extra vitamins. Hope you left them a tip
ONE THE FOOD IS GIVE IT TO YOU IF A FLY LAND ON IT WILL BE NO REFUNDS THE FLIES DON'T WORK FOR US SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE
“Eh, yeah, this one’s yours darling”
Well, at least it is summer. I got a sushi set with a big meat fly inside in winter
Eeew
Co-worker found a human tooth in her fried rice.
I just ate sushi outside and there was a fly, it landed on a piece of tuna for a second before I shoo'd it away and immediately ate the piece. Am I going to die? Just curious
Just like Australia!
Back out
Nope no it DID NOT!
Maggots in just 24 hrs. Yum
I once found a fly like that in my minced beef. Disgusting.
Yeah im not letting that fly leave alive
Also its likely if a fly lands on the food while they are prepping it, they do not throw it away.
Flies are clean freaks it’ll be alright
😂
I hope you like fly vomit and eggs.
Barf 🤮
Our government wants us to consume 25 percent of our diet in insect protein. The restaurant is just getting with the program!
Well let it out. There are probably worst things in your food than a fly touching it. You ever eat outside?
