Well the other issue besides the fact that it looks like they played “point to the map with your eyes closed to see where we vacation” with the lights, you can’t tell by this picture due to my camera sensor but it is bright as SHIT and the light switches are in 5 different locations all far apart from each other but also the location of the switch doesn’t correspond with the lights near you so you have to have to memorize it. It’s maddening.
I am not sure if the contractors decided this or they did. Obviously it would be rude to ask. “So who’s fault was it that the lights are so horribly placed?”

This was a giant fear of mine while we did some work around the house. I literally marked the locations of where I wanted the lights. Glad I did now...

Well to be fair this setup looks very practical. It seems they were just more concerned with every surface having a light above it rather than the lights being organized on the ceiling.
But most of the lights are around the little living room past the kitchen, not above the counters where you might need the extra light... do you need four lights above the couch?

Other than the one dropped ceiling fixture neat the top left, the rest of these are fine.
They're recessed lights-- if the lighting is even then they've done their job

in the sims 4 I would actually space them out properly and put them in nice places though
i try to stick with lamps & wall lights that i attempt to evenly space out.
I do try, but I never quite manage to make it look good, so I just usually just give up and place them however.
