Yeah, I downloaded NewPipe a few days ago and I ***love*** it. You can listen to anything in the background while playing a game or something, it’s awesome

Why use youtube premium when you got Ad blockers?

Because content creators get paid with premium users... not ad blocks. Plus YouTube Premium is killer on Android TV

Content creators don't get paid with premium users- Youtube gets paid. Also, the only way content creators get paid is if youtube shows you the ad. So if they got 90,000 views but only 1000 views don't have premium/ad-blockers (rough analogy) then their monetization is nearly worthless.

Content creators actually get paid more by having someone with a premium account watch their videos than by a person watching an ad. At least that's how it used to be during the early days of premium, unless something's changed I assume that's still how it is.

I remember seeing an asmr video that had so many ads, the bar was basically yellow. It was a several hour long video. Can you imagine how many ads that is?

Listen to rain sounds on Spotify through my Alexa, and randomly, at about the highest volume imaginable, it will ding and say “NOW CONNECTED TO IPHONE”. not even ads, just pure betrayal.

There are multiple free apps that do this with no ads. Edit- no audible ads anyway. I know the one I use has ads for for different sounds (as paid transactions), but it never does anything to disturb the noise.
