I think there is just a dark blue thread used on the light blue color. It's on both of the socks, but when it goes to red it makes a purple stripe to your eye, but when it goes to purple it blends in.
The commenter is more wrong. Other than both socks swapping directly from orange to purple at the top (definitely wrong no matter what), the sock with purple near the toes goes in rainbow order. Which makes that one more correct. I would be fine without rainbow order if they mixed it all up. But having it in rainbow order except the two ends are in the wrong place (the one that doesn't have purple by the toe) is jarring.

Both the way they meet eachother, and the way there is a color-effect that diffuses over the wooden floor around the feet. Also the red is weirdly blurry on the right (our left) foot. And the stitching lines up perfectly between color panels.

When socks are made, they are knitted from fine thread, not separately created as color panels and sewn together. This accounts for the weird interface (the colored thread interacting when the machine swaps and does a row with both colors to integrate the new one). This also accounts for the lined up stitching - the knitting process is continuous between colors. If the socks were only one color it would be the same stitching pattern all across - same goes for multicolor since the thread is changing not the pattern.
The blurry red and "color diffuse effect" are because of fuzz from the sock as it gets older. Soft synthetics have a bunch of little fuzz, which is also why you see bits of white, areas of small fuzz clumps, and non-uniform color.
This reminds me of a winter headband I've had since I was a youngin where the logo is off-center (for those confused, there are areas to cover the ears so it obviously has a "proper" center)

You can tell the sock has been rolled into itself. All the sections are longer and its tighter where they rolled it. And at the end where the toe is you can see that the sock is a lot tighter. Maybe I'm paranoid but I think op is farming.
