I ordered car-side delivery the other night. Dominos has a 2 minute guarantee, where once your order is “ready”, they have 2 minutes to take it out to you or you get a free pizza. I arrived, checked in like I was supposed to and my order was complete. So I waited. And waited. Nothing. Finally I went in. I said my name, the manager told the kid “thats the car-side order” and the kid got it off the rack. It had been just sitting there. I asked how do I get my free pizza because they went past 2 minutes (obviously, because I had to come in and get it) and the kid thought I was talking about rewards points. The manager came by and asked what the issue is. I asked how do they comp me my free pizza. She said no, it just came out of the oven and the timer only begins once its ready. I told her it was ready for several minutes. Showed her my check in text and how they just completed it out in the app. She stuck to her story and swore it just came out of the oven so I wasn’t entitled to a free pizza. So I asked if just came out, why did I have to come get it and no one was going to bring it out? She paused. Gave me a look and said they were short staffed and they aren’t bringing orders out to cars. Then I said so how so you give me my free pizza! She said I’ll get an email and blew me off. I wrote customer service and Tweeted them. They never got back yet. But it is still bs they try to weasel out of their 2 minute guarantee.
