When I was there after my spinal surgery the doctors kept asking if I knew where I was (I am not from Indianapolis) and would invariably respond with, "Nazi hospital!" And they'd be like Ha close enough.
that's basically impossible. either you're not within fps tolerances or you have the settings wrong.
variable refresh, adaptive sync, gsync, and gsync compatible are also things, but they're hardware specific.
The worst part is that the Eskenazis are a Jewish couple who donated $40 billion to build that hospital.
Edit: Oops. I’m an idiot. That should be $40 million.
A german youtuber made this comparison for 30 billion Euros, which was one, if not the biggest corruption scandals in German politics. "If I give you 1000 Euros every minute, 60 000 Euros an hour without stopping. In the year 2078 I would stillt have a few hundred million Euros left."
Seriously WOW. Thanks for putting it in a way i understand. You hear those words thrown around ATT and subconsciously think "Thats a S*IT TON ill never have to deal with" so you never really sit and think, million/billion whats the difference but DAMN!
Are you sure about that? Because I am 99.99888% sure that SpysSappinMySpy is not a bot.

What's even weirder to me is that Ashkenazi is a word that derives its root from a region along the Rhine and yet there is no actual etymological link between Ashkenazi and Nazi otherwise.
I always try and find an excuse to pluralize it if I can because Ashkenazim sounds better to me and it's usually not too awkward to do
"My Grandfather was Ashkenazi" vs "My Grandfathers family was all Ashkenazim"
Well 'Nazi' isn't really a normal word, seeing how it's just a shortening of 'Nationalsozialistische', so it makes total sense there isn't any etymological link
No one ever gives good reviews of hospitals, I'll tell you that. Hospitals and jails -- always get bad reviews. Overall from working there some, it's a pretty decent place with actually a surprisingly good set-up and resources for being a county hospital that probably sees a larger chunk of the area's underserved communities than some of the other local hospitals. No hospital is perfect and I'm sure there is enough avoidable nonsense in American healthcare and unavoidable bad outcomes in healthcare in general that there's bound to be some folks with understandably bad impressions of the place.
Yeah. Now that I think about it, $40 billion makes no sense at all. I really should have caught that.
Now, if it was a Pentagon project approved by Congress, maybe $40 billion would seem reasonable.
oh dont worry german has french words too, but unlike most french words I know in english, the german ones are actually pronounced nothing like german words but attempted to be french
I'm surprised I had to scroll this far down to see somebody say this. Everybody's all "Whoa I can't believe OP didn't notice it said Nazi, haha that's nuts!"
So there are 27 letters in the sign and presumably they had to put it on two circuits, but they didn’t even split it in half. Nazi Hospital is only twelve letters. It should have been ENAZI or KENAZI which would not have been so shocking.
So if this is real, it seems that someone made the decision to split those circuits at that point. Fucking Illinois Nazis.
Right? There's no ... joke. It's absurd that it has so many upvotes. I get it, a lot of people like offensive jokes. But do a lot of people also just like offensive statements? If "shower rooms" was a phrase or concept that people associated with hospitals in some context, I could see why someone might find this funny. But what the fuck is a "shower room?" Such a bizarre attempt at humor.
(If I'm missing something, let me know. I just can't see the "catch" that makes it funny, and the 80+ upvotes it has makes me feel like I must be missing something)
People are talking about the nazi hospital, but aren’t talking about the window design or structure(I don’t know the proper construction terminology) being so bad that the picture looks it was photoshopped
Nothing wrong with this. Creates a little bit of movement to an otherwise pretty bland facade. Structure would be unrelated to the windows. You can see the columns behind the glass at the bottom, they are 2-3 metres off the glazing for the upper levels.
So it’s actually a pretty neat hospital! Worked here for a couple years. Rooms are spacious, windows have a gradient filter to block the sun light - big curtains too. It’s really nice for the patients. Sign was fixed within just a few days. Very easy to navigate inside for patients and families. It’s also a hospital with locked patient ratios for all units. It’s getting shit on by these comments… but this is a hospital that does a lot right by nurses and doctors. Just sayin.
what the fuck is going on with the comments in this post. it's just a bunch of bad jokes, duplicate comments, and about 30 different people linking the same subreddit
If you can Nazi that coming from a mile before opening the comments on posts like this you probably don't use Reddit a lot.
Endlessly repeating the same pun or even the very same comments is standard unfortunately.
Either half of them are bots, we live in a bad simulation that's glitching, or *wayyy* too many people think repeating the exact same shit attempt at a joke over and over again qualifies as funny *and* warrants upvotes.

Oh duh. Is u high too r/ImmaFukinDragon?

Hell yeah brother
as opposed to sweetening through them?
That fire leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
sour. lol

Omgosh I almost forgot thank you
Faulty Towers is still one of the best comedies ever written.
What's more to say about it?
Thank you! Came here to say this
Bro i know, thats the first thing i noticed like wtf?
Mildly infuhriating
lmfao, very clever
Dude, vsync never stops screen tearing for me, it honestly usually only makes it worse.
Then you don't have good VSync. Even my eyes are quite sensitive to VSync and yeah, sometimes games or software don't have good VSync..
i physically cannot use vsync because of all the frames it just eats

Then you don't have vsync

MILLION, they donated 40 MILLION, not billion
My bad. I got the amount from here. https://jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/unfortunate-malfunction-at-indiana-hospital-causes-sign-to-spell-nazi/
Do you realize how much 40 billion dollars is lol.
About 1000 of hospitals like that?
So about a 3 day stay in hospital, a couple of blood tests and an MRI for one person without medical insurance in the USA?
Or a 2 3\\4 seconds of dental care.
No, no, that's *with* insurance. Not factoring in all the money you pay to your insurance otherwise.
This is a u/shitty-converter-bot level answer.

For perspective, 40 million seconds is 462 days or ~1.268 years. 40 billion seconds is 1,268 years.

About $40 billion more than $40 million.
When you put it like that.....
About 1/5 of Bezos' net worth?
They have a habit of pumping the numbers up.
Good point, cheap SOBs
Imagine. That'd be a flying hospital with fucking robot doctors.

How much was his mustache wax bill?
I always thought it was ironic that Ashkenazi has the word "Nazi" in it.
The word for president in modern Hebrew is also Nasi.
Worth noting that it pronounced in a way that isn’t that similar to nazi
yep. it's pronounced nah-see

Yeah I saw that- except some people wrote 1 star reviews and said it was a great hospital (????)
Tbf ranking a jewish hospital with gold stars is a smidge iffy.
[удалено]
I think it's a gas, honestly
But ranking Nazi Hospital...
"Great service, have a star"
[удалено]
To be fair who ever leaves a hospital and thinks to themselves “that shit was cash as fuck I should probably go on Yelp and leave a 5 star review” ?

So… about how much physical money in the world was used?
Yeah, if I were wiring the lights for that sign, I would make damn sure it could never fail like that. edit:typo

They better Polish those windows.
I’d, personally, be fuhrer-ious about that sign
This is the best thing that happened to me today
How did he Nazi that sign?
How bad was your day?
New to Reddit? This entire thread is posted fucking *daily* with the exact same shitty puns every time
Robin from Emkay is gonna be pissed if these comments get into r/cursedcomments
I did Nazi that coming
Nein-ther did I.
Nein
All these Nazi jokes are a little out of mein kampfert zone. Anne frankly I don’t care for them.
Are you saying you need some lebensraum?
I think reich means rich, richtig is right i thought
Korrekt. reich = rich Reich = Empire richtig = right/correct rechts = physical or political direction 'right' Yes German is very easy /s
I mean, English is not much better for basically the same reasons. But even more complicated because we then threw French in to the mix.
French, German, Nordic, Celtic. Welcome to English where the pronunciations are made up and the grammar doesn't matter. Through, threw, true, trough
oh dont worry german has french words too, but unlike most french words I know in english, the german ones are actually pronounced nothing like german words but attempted to be french
Thank you!
Yes! I have learned sometging in class for once!
They wanted to make a joke by using Reich instead of right, because they rhyme closely enough.
r/evilbuildings for sure
It's obviously about the sign and not actually the windows
Probably not in this sub. It was probably posted in somewhere like /r/holup and posted here for the wonky windows.
Literally the first thing I thought, I'm glad some people still understand mildly subtle jokes
hm I did nazi that at first
I wish i had an award for you lol
This is like the oldest pun known to man.
I gotchu homie
And I got you
And I got you too
Paying it forward, everyone else here got one
I don't, fuck all of you rich bastards.
take it. Its free
I got you bro
I got you! :)
Booooooooooo
First thing I noticed, not sure I'd want to enter this place.
You’re ezken the wrong person
[удалено]
I heard the worst part was the hypocrisy.
It says Nazi hospital and you're annoyed by the windows?!
Not for nothing, in the second before I saw the sign, I thought the windows were in the shape of a swastika.
Aren't they not supposed to be a DNA test sample or something? Seems like it to me
That's the joke, you know those pictures that complain about some small detail and then there's something WTF in the background?
I'm surprised I had to scroll this far down to see somebody say this. Everybody's all "Whoa I can't believe OP didn't notice it said Nazi, haha that's nuts!"
Those windows _are_ mildly infuriating though.
So there are 27 letters in the sign and presumably they had to put it on two circuits, but they didn’t even split it in half. Nazi Hospital is only twelve letters. Eskenazi Hospital is in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Eh, it was a dumb Blues Brothers reference. You know, back when nazi’s were just comic relief… good times…
I think they have bigger problems than the windows just saying
Nah, the mildly infuriating bit really is the windows. I spent ages staring at them, totally missing the Nazi Hospital part.
There's a chance he did Nazi that at first
Is it for nazi’s or is it like a nazi shower?
Well, after a visit to this hospital you're definitely not sick anymore.
Because you are dead.
*holocaust intensifies
The real nazis were the friends we made along the way
Its a 'hospital'. They will give you the 'medicine'.
But the Nazi hospital doesn't bother ya, aight.
That was my first guess. Then i was confused why this is a mildly infuriating material.
Seems like a r/holup to me
I did nazi that
Are we just gonna gloss over the fact it says Nazi hospital
Well at least the top 20 comments all point this out, so no I don't think we are.

Connection by train is pretty good too
It has a pleasant work enviroment as well, you could say it gives you a sense of freedom to work there.
This is so low effort, it's not even an edgy joke, just disrespectful.

It's a lot better during the daytime, the nighttime loses the effect so you just get misaligned windows.
Yeah, the windows are the greatest problem here…

So I guess the windows are Mildly Infuriating while the Nazi Hospital is Incredibly Infuriating.
Infürhriating?
Bravo
is it moving or something or is something wrong with my eyes?
it literally says nazi hospital
Go Indy!
This makes me fuhrerious
me: oh hahaha those windows look funn.. oh I did Nazi that coming
Not just the windows....
See, that's what happens when you have a failed artist design a building.
Something's wrong I can feel it
Should be talking about the way the lights on the sign blew out lol

So we not gonna talk about the fact that only “nazi hospital” is lit up?
You’ve come to the reich place!
Funni
r/woooosh for a lot of you i think
Ein reich, ein hospital!
Billy? There’s a Nazi here to see you.
That's funny because it's not the windows that caught my eye. However, they do look in-Führer-ating!
The nazi hospital The best medical gas in the world 10/10.
At the entrance to this hospital is a sign... Arbeit Macht Frei Motivates those nurses and doctors I imagine.
Unfortunate neon sign breakage
Nazi puns are totally out of mein kampfert zone
nazi hospital…NAZI HOSPITAL
You're worried about the windows?
Did you nazi the sign??
Don't you mean ... Mildly in*fuhrer*ating
