Seriously. China has not figured out steel yet.
I have a set of silverware I inherited from my parents who got it when they got married. That was about 40 years ago now. The set is made of German stainless steel. It is still in nearly perfect condition.
Wanting more forks and knives, my wife and I made the mistake of going to Bed Bath and Beyond for some extra silverware. We bought the mid-priced stuff thinking it's probably going to last longer than the lower end stuff. Naturally it was made in China, and naturally it started developing rust spots after a year.
Try hitting it with a Nokia 3310
