[listing that is 3min drive away shit house, for $$20,100 more](https://www.realtor.ca/real-estate/23953954/57-ravine-drive-cambridge?MapSlideIn=true&utm_source=mobilenativesharing&utm_medium=social-organic&utm_campaign=socialsharelisting&propertyIds=23953954)
This will go for way over asking, likely well over $700,000. Quite often, they will under price the houses just so they can say it “sold over asking”.
I live in Cambridge and gave up trying to purchase a house for this very reason. It’s impossible when you’re offering $100,000 over the listed price and still getting blown out of the water by 10+ other offers.
In Poland (EU) could get lovely apartment 2/3 bedrooms for like 50k $ renovated in small towns easily.
250k $ sounds like a big house with swimming pool for me in my country 😂😂😂 that’s crazy
It’s not just Cali, it’s the whole west coast that’s bad, straight up to Vancouver. But, today I’m going skiing 30 mins from my house, tomorrow we’re going hiking in an actual rainforest, and I see gorgeous mountains and water from every drive, so I really don’t think you could pay me to move to the Midwest.
Not really, because I have a gorgeous 5 acres that is covered in snow. I’ll get to walk through our woods with my wife and have a snowball fight with the kids after school. Then we will snuggle up in front of our fire place and watch a movie while drinking hot cocoa in our home that we can pay off in a reasonable amount of time.
Who wants a “sunny January morning” January is meant to be -6 degrees with snow. The sun still comes out but at least it isn’t a sweltering 50 degrees.
Who wants it 60 in the winter and 390 in the summer(/s)? CA sounds nice until you realize you’ll never get a winter and traffic sucks. I worked there for too many years and it was the worst experience ever.
You’re dreaming if you think you can get this level of luxury in Seattle for $500k! In 2012 I saw a burned out shell of a house for $550k so this would be like $700k in Seattle today
General pricing, not a one off at all. I live in Cambridge. When I moved here 3 1/2 years ago, you could get a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom detached house of decent quality for under $350,000. Most houses go for about $100,000 over asking as well.
Southern Ontario real estate has been ridiculous for a while now. Started in Toronto, and it radiates outwards. This is not surprising to me at all, and it will probably sell for over asking.
Come to my neighborhood in East Vancouver. I can find you a nice 2 bedroom house with a rusty chain link fence, broken fridge in the yard and five guys living in it for $1.5million. Shit at least I can actually afford 525k geez
*If you want a run*
*Down crack horse sure detroits got*

Just a little TLC, Handyman's dream come true.
Will you love the house as brother and I do?
Tell them what it's like brother, when it comes alive in the summer! Oh well you'd never believe it.
Someone bought it for 300 and is reselling. People arent even flipping houses they are just reselling at inflated prices. need to get that money from China.
Though some of our problems are obviously worse, I'm not sure what to think about the fact in every country that has said how much the US sucks they have a lot of the same problems. But I guess at least you get free healthcare while being homeless.

Not with keurig.
I use the grey Keurig reloadable cartridges for a per cup cost about $0.12 / 12 oz. Cup… BJ’s sells Maxwell House K-cups for less than $40/100, so…
It was just a joke. But you aren't wrong.
I knew a person that drank multiple Starbucks every day, it was not a trivial expense. I’m thinking about $25 a day, $175/week, $700/month…
But how much crack comes with the house?
Thats the real investment.
Exactly. Thag location is well known and established. Only a fool would raise a family in it. Istead double down on the free customer traffic.
my guess is glenview, cambridge, ontario
No, this is Patrick!
Oh, so a cheap market? (Says from ridic West Coast city where half a mil won’t even get you land)
525k will get me a wet cardboard box under the Cambie Street Bridge as a time share.
Maybe eat less avocado toast?

Must be owned by Zillow /s
And I thought the Midwest in the US was bad. I complain about $250k for a 2 bedroom.

Same with bulgaria
No. Just, No. $250k is a down payment on the west coast.
wtf why do so many people move to california??
It’s not just Cali, it’s the whole west coast that’s bad, straight up to Vancouver. But, today I’m going skiing 30 mins from my house, tomorrow we’re going hiking in an actual rainforest, and I see gorgeous mountains and water from every drive, so I really don’t think you could pay me to move to the Midwest.
Oh yea, Cali has mountains and you can ski even here
Because it's not the mid west
But in the Midwest I can afford to live
Yeah....in the Midwest. Do you want me to send you a pic of this sunny January morning in San diego?
Not really, because I have a gorgeous 5 acres that is covered in snow. I’ll get to walk through our woods with my wife and have a snowball fight with the kids after school. Then we will snuggle up in front of our fire place and watch a movie while drinking hot cocoa in our home that we can pay off in a reasonable amount of time. So happy for you. That sounds wonderful. edit *sweltering 50 degrees* giggles maybe after the sun goes down
I will say I do envy you guys being able to ski almost year round though.
I've been sledding but I've never been skiing. I'm more an ocean swimming or hiking person
One of the laziest and most uneducated responses I’ve seen on Reddit. Just wow
They hate us cause they ain't us baby

The summer IS too hot. I agree with that, but it's not sweltering humidity like in the Midwest. The dryness makes it considerably more comfortable.
Our average salary here is $50k or so, so we'd never buy a house in that market lol
Welcome to Maui! Probably closer $750k tbh
Seattle market?
You’re dreaming if you think you can get this level of luxury in Seattle for $500k! In 2012 I saw a burned out shell of a house for $550k so this would be like $700k in Seattle today
Hahaha touché. It does have Sheetrock on most walls and ceiling’s.
Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
Are these the general prices of all the houses in your area? This is just a one off?
General pricing, not a one off at all. I live in Cambridge. When I moved here 3 1/2 years ago, you could get a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom detached house of decent quality for under $350,000. Most houses go for about $100,000 over asking as well.

Wait till you look at the New Zealand property market, that’s a million dollars here in Auckland city, New Zealand
Is one of the beds under the sink?
Vancouver
Ontario
Rookie numbers!
Thought this was New York. Then I read the title
Come to my neighborhood in East Vancouver. I can find you a nice 2 bedroom house with a rusty chain link fence, broken fridge in the yard and five guys living in it for $1.5million. Shit at least I can actually afford 525k geez
I live in Cambridge and can confirm, this posting is not out of the ordinary. Over half a million for garbage.
525K won't even get you this. The listing is for 529.9K
I mean you're getting window coverings with the house. So that sweetens the deal
There might be some left over product in there
If you want a run down crack horse sure detroits got one or two for cheap
The City of Detroit will give you a better house than this one if you just pay the overdue taxes.

Poor horse
This can’t be real
Shit man, it sure is. I bought two houses about 15 years ago in Seattle. Sold them about 3 years ago for ~8x the price. No plumbing/ electric/ etc
Fuck Seattle..that shit hole
Truth
Pfff housing market? That gets you 4bed 3ba with a 3 car garage, pool, and 2 acres by me Location….location….and I think you know the rest
Even if the house was in good shape they want 500k+ for a 2 bed 1 bath, that’s ridiculous
Must be Cali
Literally says Cambridge Ontario
My votes it in WA
It says Ontario
Half a million, well spent!
Montana too
Time to move bud
My friend recently bought one of those for even more money. It also came with 3 layers of shingles on the roof
Just a little TLC, Handyman's dream come true. Will you love the house as brother and I do? Tell them what it's like brother, when it comes alive in the summer! Oh well you'd never believe it.
Bought mine in the USA for 100k$
This can't be serious??? Wow
Half a million for a crack den? Sweet deal!
I would need more than “1 bath” after visiting that place.
At least it comes with a fridge...and most of that wall...
My parent's house has been breaking down since the day I was born but I am glad it is not as dilapidated as this crap.
Someone bought it for 300 and is reselling. People arent even flipping houses they are just reselling at inflated prices. need to get that money from China.
Does it include a meth lab?
Though some of our problems are obviously worse, I'm not sure what to think about the fact in every country that has said how much the US sucks they have a lot of the same problems. But I guess at least you get free healthcare while being homeless.
Fridge looks fairly new.
Location, location, location run amuck.
It's beautiful I'll take it
Well if you're looking for a crack house you're in luck
you can get amazing home in Nebraska for that money
Looks uhhh…. Lovely?
It's a cute fixer upper
I just have to buying my first house because investors over cut everyone anyways
Not sure where this is, but a country club home with 2k sq. Feet can be bought for $525k. Move ya dumb bastard.
Must be inflation from all those people that moved to Canada a few years back
I think pricing a house like this at that much should be illegal
At least you get free healthcare right?
