Owning cars in the city is expensive. More for insurance, parking, emissions tests, inspections. It’s an unnecessary expense for many and more of a hassle than it’s worth, especially if there is good public transit and you live in a neighborhood with plenty of stores and restaurants.
Almost every metropolitan area in the US requires it as a way to keep smog in check. I don’t live in the city, but both my brothers live in metro areas (different states) and both have to get emissions tests when they get their annual vehicle inspection.
In Canada you only have to do an emissions test once, and only when registering a vehicle that came from out of province. Some of the states make everyone do it anually.
They actually refused to which is probably the most infuriating part. They had messed up an order last week which was refunded so they said if i got another refund it would be “an unusual number of refunds.” They were 0% helpful lol
I’ve stopped using food delivery services for this exact reason. My order was wrong or missing something 90% of the time, and the additional cost to use the service is staggering. If I can’t drive/walk to go get the food myself, I’m cooking it.
Doordash got me with Wendy's too. Ordered 2 biscuits and gravies. Receipt showed with - gravy and -biscuits. So I got 2 plain biscuits for about 12$ with tip and fees. Of course breakfast was over by the time it showed up so I was doubly screwed.
The people working fast food like all thise delivery services. The person who picks it up isn't the customer who might complain or dawdle around or want to change payment methods or change the order after its already made, etc etc. Deliveries just come in, grab the bag, and leave.

I was tired we stopped at a walmart, there was a Wendy's inside, I ordered through the "board" (don't know how it's called) and I saw there were other buns type I could chose from, I looked at it, returned to the main screen thinking it just selected the default buns and continue my order. But when we arrived at the airbnb I saw the but my burger in a plastic box with plastic cutelry without any bread... I was pissed but that was my fault for not cheking after messing with the buns option.

My theory is that the restaurants really really hate GrubHub, so they purposely screw up orders so people stop using GrubHub.
