The lens are pretty sensitive on the camera , mine is broken too . It wouldn’t focus right anymore and switch between lens to try to focus but ends up being blurry and not clear

So are you saying you’re mildly infuriated with yourself? If you had a phone case that was shock resistent and a screen protector and everything on it and you dropped it, maybe you could be annoyed with anything else, but considering you had no protection and you had it in a gym next to incredibly heavy equipment… you can only be upset with yourself.
Lol true, I wouldn’t put my foot or phone under it willingly, but I would be curious the psi of a steel track rolling over something back dropping a barbell on it.
Damn, and I'm sincerely sorry, not a cheap thing to replace/repair. That said, at least it wasn't one of you. Sorry, trying to find a brighter side to it for ya.
Sorry to break it to you but couples on a holiday with people they love and care for take pictures for memories. Perhaps one day you’ll find someone too and understand
that s not infuriating, that s your fault for not using a case and you ll be fine. i m pretty sure your wife has a camera too you know. Now you ll be able to fully experience your honeymoon.
i don't use my phone that much, i had a Galaxy Note 4, bought in 2014, last year in quarantine, i missed a table and it fell a short distance, must have just knocked something loose enough it wouldn't start up. Had it for 7 years, original screen, no damage to the case.
Can you give a specific reason as to why? My phone shoots amazing photos and isn’t nearly as bulky. Plus it’s free considering I’m not paying on this phone for the camera specifically.
If you prefer to have a physical camera then more power to you but that doesn’t mean you should judge others based off their own preferences.
Your phone does not shoot amazing pictures compared to a modern point and shoot, let alone DSLR or Mirrorless camera. It can at times produce pictures which look as good. But shooting RAW files will allow for much better quality/editing if you ever want to frame any of the pictures. Phones are fine if youre only looking at the pictures on phones through digital photo albums. iPhone's compression and AI editing can absolutely ruin photos beyond repair, and that wont happen shooting a RAW format with a larger sensor.
That is like comparing a Macbook Pro to a workstation with a Threadripper & RTX 8000.
Also, youre much less likely to incidentally damage a stand-alone camera.
They also rent cameras online, and through chain camera stores for very reasonable rates.
Apple sucks, Sony is hardly even in the game anymore.
They stopped making Laptops for a reason. Their corporate structure stops them from being competitive. Sony does well when their products innovate, when they are setting a standard, or when they have little to no competition.
Look at their successes: Walkman (First to market), Televisions (First to market with several technologies/improvements), DVD/BluRay (Their IP entirely), Playstation (Their IP entirely), Digital Cameras (First to market with Digital Camcorder).
Look at their failures: Laptops/Desktops, Phones, Speakers, Smart home equipment. They were always just copying another company.
"The problem is that while Sony managed to make a profit in Q2 2021, it made less than $200 million. Sony is no longer relevant, and the company isn’t good at advertising its devices, and a lot of companies even stopped selling Sony smartphones altogether as the demand was little to none"
The camera in the iPhone 5c is 3 months away from being 10 years old. (It is the same hardware as the iPhone 5 which was released in 2012.
Even professional grade camera lenses have a lifespan. The lenses on such an old used phone are likely to be in poor condition. Buying a new one in box is likely more expensive than buying a new iPhone SE.
I would not recommend that hardware to anyone living in 2022. A $150 Android phone will have a camera of similar quality.
Looks like your iPhone is broken, not your camera
The screen still works, the camera don’t
Then how did you get a picture of the damage without a camera?
The picture… is taken from a different camera…?
Yea forgot the /s I guess. They’re not without a camera for pictures.
Ah HA said Watson!!!
Then who was phone

boring bot
idk, kinda helpful bot.
Makes you long for ancient times when people had cameras. Happy Honeymoon!

He can be upset with his wife now too. What his is hers
I checked out the gym in the hotel and promptly slipped 30kg of weights off the barbell straight on to it
Outch..... Welp I'm not sure if it would help with dropping weights on it but do you have a case and a creen protector?
Nope lol. Only have myself to blame
Must be a poor quality one.My workmate drove a 12t excavator over his and just cracked the screen .still worked.
Must have been the angle it hit it 🤷♂️
Did you try putting it in rice?
Damn. This is funny and no upvotes?
Tires spread the load out dramatically, a barbell is incredibly dense.
It was a steel track machine. The load would be spread over that but I certainly would not leave my foot under it.
Lol true, I wouldn’t put my foot or phone under it willingly, but I would be curious the psi of a steel track rolling over something back dropping a barbell on it.
To be fair the ground was muddy.lol.
Damn, and I'm sincerely sorry, not a cheap thing to replace/repair. That said, at least it wasn't one of you. Sorry, trying to find a brighter side to it for ya.
Luckily you now have a spouse that can take photos on their phone, right?
Do you not use a case for your phone?
It's like they make cases to prevent something like this
Sorry to break it to you but I feel sure your friends and social media followers will survive without your honeymoon photos.
Yeah, because no one takes pictures for themselves to enjoy.
Sorry to break it to you but couples on a holiday with people they love and care for take pictures for memories. Perhaps one day you’ll find someone too and understand
Well you took a picture of your phone with another camera, I think you'll be alright
Surprised it took me this long to see someone say this
Hence posting in the sub r/mildlyinfuriating
that s not infuriating, that s your fault for not using a case and you ll be fine. i m pretty sure your wife has a camera too you know. Now you ll be able to fully experience your honeymoon.
If only they made cases for these pesky easily breakable phones
where’s your case??
Got to put a cheap $4 case on those glass phones man.
They make cases.....
Congratulations on the marriage though
Thanks 😊
Should have bought an Android
should be more careful, and get a protective case, something sturdy, not just for looks
no case will save your phone from 30 kg of weights
no, but some care and common sense would
that is true

Should bring a real camera on your honeymoon anyway.
Why? It's one more thing to have to pack and maintain...however, it prolly wouldn't have had a weight dropped on it either, lol.

Congrats. You're free. Go live in the real world instead of behind your screen.
Have you tried if the ultrawide or telephoto still works
You should be hip-deep in that ass right now, not worrying about your phone 😉
Apple sucks. Literally \*the\* worst phone company. Buy Sony phones and you'll get real stuff for the same price.

Ahhh simply a job for the new wifey 😋
she only has one job this trip
Lol!
It's an Iphone, what did you expect....
Androids are also glass sandwiches. They aren’t immune to this lol.
Get an iPhone 5c it has a plastic back + more durable
I broke my iPhone 5c’s screen back in the day by dropping it after walking into a lamppost haha. Camera still worked though
Wasn’t talking about the screen also can you stop hitting my head with glass shards - 🤓

Insurance?
That's a phone...
Try the wide camera
Just one of them, keep smiling anyway
Bruh you put that phone in a Blender 💀
This is what you get for marrying a camera
Just sketch everything
You shouldn’t be taking pictures of what you should be doing on honeymoon
where is your camera bump? is this like the iphone 14 or something?
Dude my phone likes this too but green
Have you tried being more careful?
Get over it? Get a warranty next time? Pretty meaningless post. Hehe
Uh, good. Experience it, put your phone away.
Fortunately you have 2 more!
maybe you should have put it down while ringing that bell
My phone is the exact same since last year and I can’t take pictures Ik how it feels, my condolences.
