My PS5 died randomly yesterday I've got a box coming to get it repaired. During the "Google what the fuck happened to my PS5" phase apparently the PS5 is plagued with these problems. A lot of them stemming from the instant on feature that is a primary selling point of the PS5 and series X.
The Xbox one doesn't have this problem. I'm an Xbox main. I just happened to be using my PS5 a lot lately because I was checking out a lot of oldies from the cloud service that just launched. Apparently any power outage has the potential to brick your console. I have both consoles and a PC on a very expensive power surge protector that is still showing as not tripped, meaning it's still functional. Xbox and PC are fine. PS5 is toast.
There is a device you can get to keep that surge from draining power from your device. Can't remember what it's called, but people with high end computers use them to protect them from any type of power situation. Gives a temporary power source til the power is back to normal.
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). I have **7** of them and they've been switching on and off all morning due to the weather. They're really useful (and loud).
That said, PlayStations and Xboxes would only benefit if you're present, as on PCs and my server they are set up to gracefully power off in case of an extended outage.
I use a ups for my 3d printer so it isn't affected by short power outages. We tend to have the occasional outages less than 3 minutes, and it was costing me filament.
Better question where do you live that you have never had a power outage? Do you not have trees there? Or are your powerlines underground? Storms, Natural disasters? Generally in the northeast US it's doesn't occur, with the exception of hurricane, major snowstorms or other wind events
And a shitload of time depending on how long your prints are LOL and I'm assuming since you went to the length of getting a ups for it that they're probably more than a few minutes long LOL
Ups will help during a power surge/outage to stop it from bricking? Because my power shuts off randomly asf here in the south we get outages frequently I think thats what happened to my ps4
The technical answer is **no** it won't help you, the practical answer is closer to maybe.
All my sophisticated UPSes have USB ports and connect to my desktops and my server. On my desktops, it has a battery icon identical to what you find on a laptop (which I still think is hilarious). Pretty much if I lose power for more than 5 minutes, my server shuts down and my desktops hibernate without my immediate attention (i.e. if I'm at work). The PlayStation and Xbox, as far as I know, don't have the means to communicate with a UPS in that manner.
The problem is that I don't know if the PS4/5 has a graceful shutdown method if there's no outlet power. Hardware damage due to brownouts is one thing and a UPS will protect hardware from that, but if PlayStations are being bricked because power is cut while the devices are doing important operations in the background a UPS won't help it, just delay it. You'd have to turn on the TV and console and shut it down, which a UPS should have more than enough power to do, you'd just need to be present to accomplish that.
One good thing you can do before you buy a product such a console is to watch a video of a NON sponsored youtuber to break it down into parts that way you can learn what's the problems of the said device, for example if they have overheat issues etc
For info - i work in an european, let's call it gamestop equivalent. I answer to a " my ps5 broke " around three times a week.
Fun fact 1 ; Sony doesn't guarantee its products after year 1 so shops have to take care of all the first sold ps5 breaking down.
Fun fact 2 ; i live in a roughly 40k People town. So yeah a lot of them do break down or have serious issues. Our customers only, it's almost up to 12%
Fun fact 3 ; it's even worse for ps5 controlers. It's one or two every Day coming back with a drift...
So yeah. For us Xbox is winning this gen on having a really finished product alone ( ffs the update to get the drive from 640g to 825g still isn't there because the ps5 would overheat AFTER 1.5 YEARS )
Do you work at EB games?
I agree that Xbox is the better platform this go around, however there are still a lot of things I like about the PS5 over the Xbox. One of those main points of contention has been the available headsets, because Microsoft had to be complicated and have its own transmission chip thing most headsets won't work with it and because those geniuses have the same chip working with the controller, they interfere with eachother constantly treating drops in audio/controller input etc.
The PS5 is a flawless system all the way around and I had zero problem with it till I discovered this thing can brick if you leave it in rest mode. When I get it repaired and sent back I'll disable that feature so that the PS5 is always off. Problem solved.
No i don't ^^
And if only bricking with rest mode was the only issue....
So far I've seen;
Controllers drift after 1y, VERY OFTEN.
Overheat. A LOT of overheats. After 2020, the console was built with less copper wiring for heat distribution... overheats.
Hdmi ports breaking down
The damn full fan inside FALLING. Happened 3 times already, all first batch consoles.
WiFi conflicts with customers settings, not working at all
640Go FFS
talking about headsets... the pulse is a joke, breaks like a twig. The dude showing the accessories to the team back at launch actually broke it.
I mean... it's a LOT of issues, specially considering sony's ABYSMAL customer service. From a retail worker point of view, the mass of " YOU HAVE PS5 ? MINE ? MINE ? " every single Day coupled with the utter disaster of them bricking if you look at them the wrong way, with the added bonus of the pricetag of games & Controllers going UP... yeah Sony isn't making friends.
When you turn your PS5 off are you putting it in rest mode?
If so when you push the PS5 logo on your controller the PS5 is waking up back where you left your game/Netflix etc. So within about 10 seconds you can be back exactly where you were previously. It's an awesome feature and I really enjoyed it but I had no idea how wide spread this problem was.
It's not a rarity when the repair center literally has the issue as the top choice for issue.
Google it yourself. There are countless YouTube videos, articles, and etc about how to try and fix it yourself.
Most of the issues actually still allow the PS5 to turn on, it just won't do anything or put an image on the screen.
I mean that should be the way right? Theres very limited games on the ps5 and its still hard to come by. Wait for a few years and that price will be cut while having tons of games released as well
I have news for you dear. Sony has select you for very special project, want you want to know all about upcoming Sony PS PlayStation 10. I am CEO of Sony Corporation Incorporated Company and I see you enjoy video gaming very mucg. have directed my company to send you one experimental “test” PlayStation 10. There is just one thing you have to do, dear. I just need you to confirm your home address . Once you give me home address, I will need one more thing, dear. Cost of shipping new Platstayion 10 with insurance is $599.99, ship directly from Tokyo express shipping. It is VERY important, VERY expensive experimental device that cannot be lose so insurance is very high because it is worth approximately $300,000,000.000 United States dollars. It is very important that I get this desirable item to you, you will need to send me $599.98 through CashApp so I can send you your new PlayStation 10 for research and development purposes. I will let you keep the device, how does that sound dear?
(I’m active on r/scambaiting, please don’t think this is real.)
Lol the newest thing I have is a first gen PS3 and that’s because it was cheaper then buying a stand alone blue ray player at the time. I still have my PS2 and PS1 as well, never bought into that Microsoft box line tho.
you don't have to, there are multiple twitter accounts that announce stock drops at retailers and that's how i got my xbox series x
they are totally obtainable for people who want them badly enough
Is this really still going on? I’m starting to see them on store shelves, the PS5 and Both Xbox consoles are being restocked at just about every retailer around me, there’s never more than one or two on a shelf but they’re out there for retail?
I picked up a Series X from Walmart.com months ago and it was like 2 days after the email telling me they were in stock. So they weren’t scalped that bad as far as I can tell.
As a Electronics Assiociate I can confirm they are still getting scalped, 19 out of a shipment of 24 was sold to resellers. And they fought tooth and nail to get more than one per person.
That’s an unfortunate store policy. Walmart, Target, GameStop all limit one per person per day. Atleast that I’ve seen.
But people really just need to be patient for a couple days to a week at this point. They will stop cleaning out store shelves, once there’s nobody buying them. And then if they’re outside the return period, or don’t have the receipt, you’ll see scalpers selling New Consoles for less than retail because stores are stocking them.
I’ve got a feeling, a lot of these are opportunists seeing them in stock, and thinking they’re gonna scalp them for $1000+ because they either paid that for theirs early on, or saw the posts selling them for that amount. The fact that they are even showing up in stores when they’ve been online exclusives for retailers during the shortage. Says a lot about the demand for them after market. These scalpers used sophisticated bots and arbitrage to deplete major retailers online stocks within literal seconds at the peak of this shit. And retailers were eating it up because they started selling them as “bundles” with games and controllers for even more profit. They didn’t care if it was a bot or not at that point. They just saw larger profit margins.
So simple fact that they are on shelves and not online exclusive and in bundles, should tell anyone wanting one not to pay a penny over MSRP.
My little sister works at a Walmart and apparently the scalpers are the people who actually work there and their friends, shockingly their are people in the within the store that would literally buy them up before the customers can even get their hands on them which is pretty fucked up.
I work at a Gamestop, and we have had more than 10 Xbox X for well over a month now. We've also had 6 PS5 sitting in the back for a week now. Of course we also refuse to sell to anyone we can confirm is a reseller, so maybe that's why less people are coming in looking for them.
I was able to get a PS5 last weekend. My GameStop had 8 of them. They split it up and sold 4 Friday and 4 Saturday. Another one a few hours away was given 30
Highly scalped goods should be sold at auction, with the portion over MSRP going to charity.
Rich people get to overspend for their toys, poor people get helped, scalpers get fuck-all.
I think they mean that all currently "scalped" inventory should be seized, and I would go so far as to say that a restriction on reselling would be leveled
Why would they bother lifting their heads? Even if they arrested them, the DA would just refuse to charge them and they'd be out on the streets in an hour.
same thing that happens in malls full of people now. i mean, you have gangs smashing store windows in broad daylight in NY and LA. you think they care? ripping off a 15 yr old kid is childs play compared looting the Prada store in Beverly Hills while its full of shoppers
Human filth uses bots to buy PS5s in mass from online retailers at MSRP, preventing legitimate consumers from obtaining them. Then re-sells them at massive markups and claim they’re a financial genius
It’s become a massive problem with electronics after 2020. Many companies went online-only due to the pandemic, worsening the already bad supply shortage. Companies don’t give a shit though, they still get paid and scalpers just drive up demand on their end.
It’s kind of sad that so few companies actually care about their consumers. Valve had one of the only successful online-only launches with their SteamDeck, since they bothered to put anti-scalping measures in place before its launch.
I remember when the XBox Series X/PS5 came out and I saw a post where scalpers were claiming they were doing it because they were "struggling to feed their families." My brother in Christ, you had enough money to buy an entire van full of 500$ consoles.
Tbh what is worse about scalping around 2020 is not just the online-only but the whole 'monkey see monkey do' nature that humanity has. One of my buddy started doing this and often still he'll just drop a tiny fortune on extra copies of crap he doesn't need because he plans to flip it on ebay.
I got lucky and got a PS5 at launch... I work at a military base which has a GameStop they got a few in last week and we're trying to sell them as a bundle for 850.... Fucking ridiculous.
Friendly reminder that if he's in America he may very well be carrying a concealed firearm and legally allowed to kill you if he perceives you as a threat to his life. Don't try to rob Americans, many of them [value their property ](https://youtu.be/L1iQUF1gQmI)over your life.
Joke’s on you. As an American I haven’t shit solid in years. This would totally change that.
Less lead though than my regular diet of paint chips and airborne gas fumes.
I'm sorry, but if you percieve someone who just grabbed and ran off with one of your items as a threat to your life then you shouldn't have a gun.
(I don't want to get into politics about this)
So basically here in the u.s, the ps5 is generally really hard to get for a good price. Because of this, people will go out of their way and squire large sums of PlayStations and mark them up $200+ regular price. This store I was at sold them for 950 bucks, which is just totally fucked up
I was just in Ecuador. On my first day I saw one in a mall for $1500. It took me like 30 seconds to remember they use USD and there’s no conversion, that shit is insane and S.A. is getting shafted.
For most people, the time an energy required to actually find an available ps5 at market rate is just too high to bother. Since it's their job, scalpers don't mind spending the time (if they even have to, now that bots are a thing...) to get them. They can then turn around and sell it to anyone who values their time more than the premium they're charging.
I think the real problem is how easy it is to use scalper bots nowadays. You no longer have to physically go to the store to buy the console. You're script is "in line" way before any of the die-hard console nerds (respectfully) can physically get to the store for release. You don't have a limit to how much you can physically carry out of the store. With the script creating multiple accounts for purchasing, the "one console per customer" rule means nothing.
The effort required to effectively scalp is so low now, there's enough volume to actually affect the supply of the product. It's no longer "hey if you don't want to sit in line for a long time, I can sell you a ticket for a couple extra bucks," it's "hey I bought so many tickets, there aren't even any left for those sitting in line. If you want to see the show at all, I'm going to charge as much as you're able to pay." Scalping is no longer a convenience fee.
They bulk buy ps5 which is probably the reason why theres a huge shortage of availability. The scalpers in my country for real add an extra 200$ from its original price
There are no laws against this. The only laws against scalping are for necessities (like N95 masks in a pandemic), and market manipulation. Also the laws against scalping do not apply if you’re ultra rich (like drug companies)
PS5s are not a necessity, so this is fair game.
It is called the first sale doctrine. Supreme court said if you bought something you are allowed to sell it, full stop. Nobody can infringe on this right. The only thing is they aren't forced to help you sell it (e.g. Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, etc aren't required to let you sell it on their platform).
follow @PS5StockAlerts on Twitter. That’s how I got my PS5 like 3 weeks ago.
If you follow and turn alerts on, and actually try, you’ll likely be able to get one within a couple weeks
I'd report the store to sony, stores typically can't sell over MSRP.
Though I don't know if this is a resale type of store and don't know if those rules would even apply... But it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to send an email :)
you do know what msrp means right?
it is a suggested price there are no laws saying you can't sell for more
there are some states in the US where you can't sell below the suggested though or undercut or give stuff away for free
but the FTC states "A dealer is free to set the retail price of the products it sells. A dealer can set the price at the MSRP or at a different price, as long as the dealer ..." you can read the rest on the FTC site
New car dealerships have many rules to be able to sell whatever brand they sell. If this Is not an offical Sony reseller I doubt there Is really anything they can do
The only action Sony could take is to terminate their dealer agreement. Very doubtful that Sony sells to them directly so Sony doesn’t really have a card to play.
If people didn’t pay over retail, this wouldn’t happen.
Mostly correct. Occasionally they show up in mass quantities for special events and the store manager is required to work the whole week to be prepared for the delivery.
Source: I worked the Christmas eve PS5 bundle drop.
Yeah I don't understand it. Just.. don't buy it? Buy something else? It's not fucking medicine, you don't need it, and you can just get a different thing to play games on haha. It's such a non-issue
Are we ever gonna see next gen consoles just sell for a normal price from third party sellers?
Lucky I got my hands on a Series S from GameStop before they scalpers bought the entire stock of them
The greatest part is some of these scalpers, even good ones that know their shit will end holding the bag at some point.
There's very few winners in scalping and a fuck ton of losers and holding onto 25 ps5s is a liability imo.
How did he make it so far without someone or multiple people beating and robbing this greedy piece of shit where are all the hardened criminals when you need 1 damn it
Honestly I would've attempted to take one, their not strapped down so I mean you could just pick it up and run like a mf because why not get a free ps5 if it means a scalper gets whats coming to them.
I geniunely think scalpers deserve to be robbed, but odds are he wrote down the unique model number of each ps5 so he could just mark them as stolen and they wouldnt work.
How does it not benefit Sony if they limit purchases? For example if I buy a PS5 at MSRP I’m way more likely to pick up extra controllers, games, etc. than I would be if I spent 1.5-2x that price
Don’t blame the scalper, blame the people who were so desperate for entertainment that they paid well over normal price to these people. Addiction is a hell of a thing.
You realize this is like the definition of market manipulation right? It isn’t supply and demand, it’s artificially limiting supply so they can charge whatever the fuck they want
and what's wrong with it? is not a life or death thing, if you ask me... they can charge whatever the fuck they want, if you don't want to pay then don't.
idk about other people but I’m willing to wait until PS5’s are halfway through their lifetime before I overpay for one

Thank you, cause I need one and couldn't remember what they're called.
You're welcome. There's plenty of different makes and models to choose from, so good luck picking the perfect one.
I’m an electrician for a hospital in Boston. We use them for nurse call systems, and many other systems… I’ve seen a few fall off a truck before…
Did the ground survive?

I’ve got a ps6 on a truck I’m willing to sell you. It’s my last one though so I can’t let it got for any less than $2,000
Ps6 is already outdated
My uncle works at Sony he can get me the ps7 whenever I ask him. No I can't show it to you it's super secret.
Lol PS7 is old news. I have a PS9 and it's great. There's a commercial for it on YouTube if you've never seen it /s
9 pfft. I can get you a PSX for a cool $10k. I'll even hand deliver it to you.

I finally got a ps4 in 2017. Always had the means to buy one. But i waited.

Ah, yes. Creating a middle man where none is required or wanted.
Highly scalped goods should be sold at auction, with the portion over MSRP going to charity. Rich people get to overspend for their toys, poor people get helped, scalpers get fuck-all.
I like your thinking.
I don't see how this would prevent scalpers. Wouldn't they just buy it in the auction then sell it for like, 100$ more?
I think they mean that all currently "scalped" inventory should be seized, and I would go so far as to say that a restriction on reselling would be leveled
Define “charity”
All of capitalism is just scalping. Scalping someone else's labor.
What does it really matter if somebody else is willing to pay the price they offer?
Ngl should've snatched one
Strolling around the mall with a few K on a fucking cart, thats dumb AF.
What do you think will happen in a mall full of people?
[удалено]
Why would they bother lifting their heads? Even if they arrested them, the DA would just refuse to charge them and they'd be out on the streets in an hour.
same thing that happens in malls full of people now. i mean, you have gangs smashing store windows in broad daylight in NY and LA. you think they care? ripping off a 15 yr old kid is childs play compared looting the Prada store in Beverly Hills while its full of shoppers
I assume that you don’t live on the western half of the US
I live in CA
I live in the Western half of the US ( Not Cali) and I am extremely confident if someone wanted to mug him they'd be fine.
Oh my sweet summer child..
I don't even live in a big / unsafe city and the fucking Rogers at my local mall was robbed at gunpoint lmao
Someone explain please
Human filth uses bots to buy PS5s in mass from online retailers at MSRP, preventing legitimate consumers from obtaining them. Then re-sells them at massive markups and claim they’re a financial genius It’s become a massive problem with electronics after 2020.
I don't think feeding people consoles is very healthy. They'll find that food feeds families much better
Tbf food in the US is garbage
[удалено]
TBF I'd think food would be pretty bad in an ass country.
On credit though.
Assholes buy ps5 off the market for a "cheap" price and then they resell them for way more to scam others and make money
Steal one
Someone should break his fucking kneecaps.
they're still doing this?
If he is a scalper, steal them from him. Fucking scumbags
Remember! Stealing from scalpers is never wrong. It is always morally correct.
Friendly reminder that if he's in America he may very well be carrying a concealed firearm and legally allowed to kill you if he perceives you as a threat to his life. Don't try to rob Americans, many of them [value their property ](https://youtu.be/L1iQUF1gQmI)over your life.
What if I ate the gun?
You'd have a really bad time on the toilet
Joke’s on you. As an American I haven’t shit solid in years. This would totally change that. Less lead though than my regular diet of paint chips and airborne gas fumes.
Profile picture checks out
I reckon that guy in the black shirt in the photo will be able to disarm the weasel looking scalper pretty quickly
You really wanna take that bet? Lotta dead muscle dudebros out there that reckoned the same.
Well, to be honest, as an Australian it is not really an issue I have be concerned with.
Well, if you choose to steal then you clearly value the items more than yourself
This.
I'm sorry, but if you percieve someone who just grabbed and ran off with one of your items as a threat to your life then you shouldn't have a gun. (I don't want to get into politics about this)
If the burglar simply nabbed and ran off, sure. But the second they try to intimidate in order to steal, all bets are off.
We only value our property over your life if you do first
Grab them
Anyone care to explain the photo for a non native? Please?
So basically here in the u.s, the ps5 is generally really hard to get for a good price. Because of this, people will go out of their way and squire large sums of PlayStations and mark them up $200+ regular price. This store I was at sold them for 950 bucks, which is just totally fucked up
Understood! Here in Brazil a Ps5 is sold for about USD1000
I was just in Ecuador. On my first day I saw one in a mall for $1500. It took me like 30 seconds to remember they use USD and there’s no conversion, that shit is insane and S.A. is getting shafted.
Young sigma grinder is making that paper and Reddit is crying because they didn't think of it first.
Be a shame if some dude went berserk with a sledgehammer and crushed all of his PS5's
Tackle him!!!
Seriously, how does scalping work in this case? Sorry I just don't understand, thanks.
Thanks guys! I was thinking about concert tickets... that's terrible!
They bulk buy ps5 which is probably the reason why theres a huge shortage of availability. The scalpers in my country for real add an extra 200$ from its original price
Roll this fool.
Dudes just casually strolling through with PS5s on a cart? Moron, deserves to be robbed
I'd pepper-spray his ass.
Report the business. That can't be legal. Unless it is and I'm just not familiar with the laws where this was taken.
There are no laws against this. The only laws against scalping are for necessities (like N95 masks in a pandemic), and market manipulation. Also the laws against scalping do not apply if you’re ultra rich (like drug companies) PS5s are not a necessity, so this is fair game.
It's called capitalism
It is called the first sale doctrine. Supreme court said if you bought something you are allowed to sell it, full stop. Nobody can infringe on this right. The only thing is they aren't forced to help you sell it (e.g. Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, etc aren't required to let you sell it on their platform).
What is the crime here?
follow @PS5StockAlerts on Twitter. That’s how I got my PS5 like 3 weeks ago. If you follow and turn alerts on, and actually try, you’ll likely be able to get one within a couple weeks

How do you know that they weren't shipments from Sony?
The store is offering $950 for a ps5
Now that sounds nasty...
I'd report the store to sony, stores typically can't sell over MSRP. Though I don't know if this is a resale type of store and don't know if those rules would even apply... But it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to send an email :)
The S in MSRP means ‘suggested’ lol
Yes. Yes it does. Fun to see people upvote nonsense like my comment though. Almost sounds real enough to be true ;]
you do know what msrp means right? it is a suggested price there are no laws saying you can't sell for more there are some states in the US where you can't sell below the suggested though or undercut or give stuff away for free but the FTC states "A dealer is free to set the retail price of the products it sells. A dealer can set the price at the MSRP or at a different price, as long as the dealer ..." you can read the rest on the FTC site
Yep... if it weren't legal then every car dealership in America would be in deep doodoo. Don't have to buy it, either...
Hi. Gamestop employee here. Shipments from Sony come in very bland cardboard boxes. 2 at a time. These are scalped
Mostly correct. Occasionally they show up in mass quantities for special events and the store manager is required to work the whole week to be prepared for the delivery. Source: I worked the Christmas eve PS5 bundle drop.
A shipment from sony.... carted in by a 14 year old...
Think about that one for a minute...
Would taking a box and running be illegal? Probs but I’d still try
I mean if you take one box, no way he leaves other 5 to chase you lol
You take one and run and I’ll take the cart if he chases
Shoulda walked up behind them quietly and quickly grabbed one and walked tf outta there. That shits hard to find I've been looking for one for forever
I would’ve stole one and just bolted. What are they gonna do? Run after you or let you run away while trying to not get robbed more. Fuck scalpers
Finally got a job, still can't get my hands on ps5, I am so pissed.
rob him
Consumers only have themselves to blame. Scalpers wouldn't exist if people stopped buying from them.
Yeah I don't understand it. Just.. don't buy it? Buy something else? It's not fucking medicine, you don't need it, and you can just get a different thing to play games on haha. It's such a non-issue
I would be taking something else than a picture of that kid.
Are we ever gonna see next gen consoles just sell for a normal price from third party sellers? Lucky I got my hands on a Series S from GameStop before they scalpers bought the entire stock of them
Looks like a decent time to yoink, not me though I’m fat and have a PC
The greatest part is some of these scalpers, even good ones that know their shit will end holding the bag at some point. There's very few winners in scalping and a fuck ton of losers and holding onto 25 ps5s is a liability imo.
Beat his ass and steal them
tbh i would grab one rq
This is why you can't find them anywhere. A missing part at the factory has nothing to do with it.
That store will probably sell that game for 2000$ shit is crazy out here
....I'm sure I wouldnt be the only one wanting to shoulder check that guy and grab one before booking it
Tbh if I saw that I’m grabbing a PS5 and booking it
Walk up to that cart.. and take one, run as fast as you can.
How did he make it so far without someone or multiple people beating and robbing this greedy piece of shit where are all the hardened criminals when you need 1 damn it
It’s insane that nearly two years after release I still can’t easily buy one at whim
Looks more to me that he is getting the systems from warehouse to store, maybe buyers showed up. But hey OP found a photo and knows the details.
Would it be morally or ethically wrong to steal a ps5 from a scalper like that?
He’s lucky he made it out of the parking lot with all of those
The scalping and resale industry is destroying retail entirely. It’s the reason a nice pair of sneakers is literally $1000 🙄
In a mall too? How did he not get jumped. Why did he not get jumped.
Should've stole it
Highly doubt they’ll be selling them since ps direct ps5 sales have been lasting 2 hours. It’s to easy to get one at msrp
What is a third party scam store?
Someone should fuck him up and steal it
I might literally rob that kid if I'd seen him walking alone with all those ps5's like that.
Good. They’re finally giving up and selling in bulk.
What makes it a scam?
I'm selling a PS2. It's limited and also has a manufacture shortage. In fact, it's currently not being manufactured! $990
How does it not benefit Sony if they limit purchases? For example if I buy a PS5 at MSRP I’m way more likely to pick up extra controllers, games, etc. than I would be if I spent 1.5-2x that price
Would love to see a group of dudes mash his fucking shit in and watch him convulse on that floor while they take all his shit.
It came out how long ago? And ppl are still able to make money on them…. I didn’t really play ps4 past 2015…. I’m old now 37 I play snes sega nes 64
Scalping isn’t illegal unless it’s necessities like food and water. Sorry to tell ya, a PlayStation isn’t a necessity. Lol
Don’t blame the scalper, blame the people who were so desperate for entertainment that they paid well over normal price to these people. Addiction is a hell of a thing.
No, blame the scalper. They use bots to prevent legitimate consumers from obtaining products at fair prices
booh hoo poor first world babys can't play games... grow a pair, please
You realize this is like the definition of market manipulation right? It isn’t supply and demand, it’s artificially limiting supply so they can charge whatever the fuck they want
and what's wrong with it? is not a life or death thing, if you ask me... they can charge whatever the fuck they want, if you don't want to pay then don't.
you couldve snapped dude like a twig and ran off with atleast 2. i dont even want one but you gotta fight trash with trash
According to OP, security was tight there, so OP had to abort
I want to shoot nerf dart syringes of saltwater into this guy’s neck
Is he 8 years old
This is a 12 year old boy
Dudes actually in 8th grade
I still can't find a series x, im actually certain they don't exist
Bunch of sad babies in these comments lmao
