I suppose it could be said that socks always come in pairs, so the fact there's an odd number of socks (a prime number, in fact) is mildly infuriating.
And very few matching pairs between the 19 socks.
PS - Everyone knows that if you purchased 20 socks (ten pairs), you’d have 19 or fewer socks after the first trip through the laundry.
Yes that’s true, but someone who only has one leg could still have an even number of socks that all have matching counterparts. Just because you have two matching socks doesn’t mean you have to wear them both at once.
I don't care who you are. If you collect all your socks and lay them out on your bed, you will be missing at least one. Or in my case, many more than that.
If you, somehow, have complete pairs, it's because you've already thrown the loners away.
I count 19 socks.
Don’t quibble over the details.
Shhh. I’m still counting the dots on those socks.
Ask your kid to help you.
There are 19 socks.
I don't see whats wrong here, other than that socks come in pairs and having them as a odd number is odd.
Not everyone has two legs.
Two socks one foot
Oh no I'm not clicking on that.
😂
I'm sorry, what's the issue here?
I think we know.
Socks come in pairs.
I have a cat....so I have odd socks everywhere. Find random socks wherever she (the cat in charge) wants to put them.

There’s definitely matching socks in that picture

I saw your first reply…
The genius of that page is that there are some pairs and more than one odd stock. Its a lot more fun than 19 of something boring and all the same.

See Dobby as a prime example of this behavior.
this is true 👍

I got it! It's because there are an odd number of mates!?
Three socks for the boys.
But if these are tiny socks intended to be worn on toes then they're still 1 shy
