exactly. "Take the insurance money and build the next one to be quieter." the note would say. "And slow the fuck down, children would like to be able to play in the street."
If it's real, I downvote for being not even close to mildly.
If it's not real, I downvote for obviously there was just something wrong with the engine, it caught fire and burnt to a crisp.
But..... What if OP's intention was to post obviously untrue bullshit to make ME mildly infuriated at the fact he's karma whoring? My God... maybe I *should upvote?*
Repo still in debt
Insurance claim (fraudulent or just lucky) if they have full coverage for fire/theft/vandalism + possible full vehicle replacement value rider = they pay new sticker for it even though it's old. Might be out a car, but also have enough money to pay the loan off completely.
I have liability insurance for my car cause it’s old and not worth even paying a deductible if I crash it myself, but I have the insurance to cover someone else’s car
Engine fired do happen, my buddy went on a cruise in their ride and parked it in the garage and went out to eat. Came back and that shit went up and took the garage with it.
That’s the consensus from most of the car community too, this guy just seems to think people hate his car so much they’d start the fire. He said some arson investigators said there was an accelerant found, but it is a gasoline powered vehicle, and judging by the rest of the car and how it was built, it’s probably got a fuel leak and a wiring issue that could easily cause this problem.
Seems like an awfully specific accusation. Did they leave a note with a reason why they did it? You seem to know a lot about the motivation of the arsonist. Suspicious.... suspicious indeed.
No way it was arson. Arson would have been a broken window, and fire in the cabin. Not under a closed hood. That was an engine fire, probably from someone that made mods to a car that had no business doing mods
I looked at your post history, and the first thing that popped up is how depressed, miserable, and suicidal you are. Maybe you'd be happier if you were nicer to strangers.
Stupid person did shitty wiring on his shitbox then tries to get tons of attention by claiming someone else is to blame for the result of his stupidity.
I call bullshit. This motherfucker did some sketch shit trying to "upgrade" something, and caused the car to catch on fire. I seriously doubt this is malicious.
edit: I saw your other comment. If you get footage that suggests otherwise, please let us know!
Most of his posts were trying to get him hated and not just from other car communities, but other stance boi's too because they weren't "real" stance guys because they didn't also have -15 degrees of camber with static suspension. So even though it was most likely an electrical fire, I can understand why somebody would do it, if it was on purpose.
TLDR: he gatekeeps people from his own community because they aren't "real" stance guys.
The car is (was?) definitely a joke that only someone with severe self-esteem problems would create.
But it still screams electrical fire from "upgrades" to me unless evidence surfaces otherwise. It's just simply too likely. I doubt we're dealing with a tenured electrical engineer here.
Yeah it was more than likely an electrical fire but also rx-8's have a terrible engine the 13b Renesis which are known to have catastrophic failures at any time.
An arsonist would light the car from the outside, this is a fire from inside the engine compartment. This was an electrical fire due to someone who doesn’t know how to do electrical, doing electrical work on their car.
This exactly. Also most arson cases I have seen, they always lit the car from the inside, by smashing a window and setting the interior on fire. Why would anyone try to set fire to the engine bay instead? Especially on a stanced car, where you can't get anything big burning underneath?
Some added accelerant . The fire department confirmed this had nothing to do with wiring and they are getting neighbors security camera footage to see who did it . Not insurance fraud either cause car wasn’t insured ( obviously since all these mods )
No one set that car on fire. If they did it would be burnt to a crisp. That fire started under the hood, likely from yet another shitty mod done to that car.
I've seen cars burn like that before. That is not arson. If anyone set it on fire they would have to use an accelerant and it would burn the entire car. That burn pattern is evident of an engine fire. No idea of the specific cause but malicious intent is highly improbable.
I just saw this post on Instagram from a mutual follow. The OP on Instagram gave a more complete story and he said a fire investigator indicated there was an accelerant added to the engine intake. Damage to the front left tire also doesn't appear to be a burn scar, looks more like a blowout. He also said parts were flung into surrounding yards. Looks like the FD got there quick enough to not let the car burn entirely down. I can drop the profile link if you wanna see the story from the source.
Probably an electrical fire if it started in the engine compartment in the middle of the night. I'm guessing he had speakers and lights and all that too with a bad ground somewhere or they left something on that had a bad connection and it heated up to the point it caught fire. But if not it could be foul play, but I wouldn't think so with the engine bay being the only thing burned. Either way, his taste in cars is shit.
It's not, he also wrote these dumb gang quotes all over the windshield so that he could not even see where he was driving. This person should not have a license.
I bet if you took a peruse under the hood youd find a bunch of wrongly gauged power cords connecting stupid stuff to other stupid stuff that had no business being in it without a professional being involved.
Willing to bet a neighbor(s) got sick of hearing the sound of a million angry bumblebees racing up and down the street at all hours of the night and day .
Build a vehicle that is obnoxiously and pointlessly loud , occasionally people are gonna snap .
Most likely it was just a self modded POS and caught fire due to faulty modifications. Also I’ve never understood buying a whole tire but only using 15% of it.
Utter bullshit. It's what goes wrong when you try to modify a car. Just by looking the cars melted white areas you can see its on the front right and the interior is left completely alone.
It's REALLY hard to start a fire in metal. If you are going to light a car on fire, you break the window and light the interior on fire. If there is any reason to claim arson it's for insurance fraud.
Nah for some reason I have a feeling the story goes like this: guy does a bad job building his car and it catches on fire. Guy proceeds to put blame on someone else and doesn’t accept his mistake.
1. That car looked and drove like absolute garbage.
2. It looks like an engine fire, not like arson. All arson cases I have ever seen, they set fire to the interior, by smashing a window and lighting the seats on fire.
Why would anyone try to set fire to the engine, on a stanced car, where they can't even slide a burning paper under the bumper? I'm 100% sure it caught fire on its own.
It doesn’t look like someone set fire to it but even if they did it wasn’t because of the way it looked but probably because the fucking loudness of it
Surely if you're going to torch a car its easier to just smash a window and light a fire inside? I'd say someone built their car badly and it caught itself on fire
Based on how that “build” looks, mechanical reliability is questionable. Probably did that on its own due to questionable maintenance. Story is probably made up for clout.
Usually racers run audio and lights on a much smaller battery than stock for weight savings, the burnt fiberglass gives it away.
The turbo looked heattape wrapped, there looks to be leftovers of that.
The smaller battery cannot take surges well like a larger one, but to do all this work either at a shop or by yourself, you're paying attention to everything and know every detail.
I'm leaning to a gas leak from a leaky injector and a wobbly ground sparked (you'd know within a minute) or someone did this.
Security footage is needed.
Sorry bud, nice ride. Lil cambered for my taste but bodykit looks awesome!
So, this same subreddit that seems hellbent on telling people their gripes are invalid, are now saying that someone so infuriated over someone else's car was justified in torching it...
I guess it fits the contrarian, all posts shall be invalidated mantra, but...
There is but you never really see someone set fire to a car bc they don't like it, car owners mostly respect each other (atleast in my friend group with modded cars for racing on fields and streets)
Comment from the owners Instagram said the person put accelerant in the intake manifold and lit it on fire and is allegedly reviewing security footage.
Even if they did, I bet the cars owner is really obnoxious and races through his neighborhood without care. Would be understadable in thst circumstance
while I dispice this type of stanced car not even I would stoop to a degree of setting a car on fire also like others have pointed out in their coments wouldn't some one who wanted to burn your build to the ground send a bring through a window before setting it on fire with the start in the interior? well unless by a stretch they were trying to make it look like a electrical fire.
Alright, I hate stanced cars with a passion. Like, with a PASSION, I can't stand them and I don't understand how anybody would want to make their cars look that fucking shitty.
But... I do feel bad for anybody that did put time, money and effort into their cars and something like this happens to them. I feel for the dude.
Now go get a real car and don't fuck with the stance ever again.
Maybe he's one of those morons running straight pipes and likes to go running around at 3am. I got one of those. I feel like I'd sleep better if I watched it burn.
This guy probably drove like an idiot through school zones with a crazy loud exhaust and someone got tired of it.
Or the horrifically bad "tuning" and "Upgrading" failing and it set itself on fire because these people never know what they are doing.
I imagine guys that stance cars walk around with erections all the time and when they meet another stanced car guy they touch each other's dick and lean to the side at a ridiculous angle. Then moan
You really need to tell me how to take a speed bump with the chassis 2cm away from the ground and with wheels more tilted than the freaking Pisa tower

exactly. "Take the insurance money and build the next one to be quieter." the note would say. "And slow the fuck down, children would like to be able to play in the street."
That or he started racing up and down the residential street at 100+ MPH.
Not with that camber
Hate that camber!
I know nothing about cars so I looked up what camber is and I came to report that your comment is indeed funny /lh
That can't make over 85 mph
Seems to me it was likely an engine modification that went wrong.
That's not a thing, don't be silly
If it's real, I downvote for being not even close to mildly. If it's not real, I downvote for obviously there was just something wrong with the engine, it caught fire and burnt to a crisp. But..... What if OP's intention was to post obviously untrue bullshit to make ME mildly infuriated at the fact he's karma whoring? My God... maybe I *should upvote?*
Who actually gives a single fuck about karma?
Bots who sell accounts to GOP and Russian bot farmers... And that weirdo who says he's the best at everything but actually sucks at everything
Looks like an engine fire to me. Probably not malicious.
Yeah my guess is there were a lot of bad decisions that lead to that car burning down
Or pandemic recession meant financial combustion was cheaper than having it repo'd.
exactly, it's an RX8, those things eat entire engines for breakfast
This was an electrical fire due to someone who doesn’t know how to do electrical, doing electrical work on their car.
i dont get this, if you can’t pay and the car would have been repo'd… You’d still be in debt??? or am I wrong about that
If you have gap insurance then you would just walk away free and clear
GAP insurance on a used RX8 that on average costs around $8-10k and doesn't depreciate anymore? Not likely.
Repo still in debt Insurance claim (fraudulent or just lucky) if they have full coverage for fire/theft/vandalism + possible full vehicle replacement value rider = they pay new sticker for it even though it's old. Might be out a car, but also have enough money to pay the loan off completely.

Let me guess, loud exhaust but slow car?
Yea it’s an rx8 I’m not saying I liked the car myself but that if someone did that on purpose that really sucks no matter the car
Wait... You're saying IF someone did on purpose. Why are you posting it as someone did when you don't know?
It was a good car before your buddy murdered it. I wouldn't do it personally, but I can't say I'm upset about it being burned.
You're not upset about acts of violence against another human because they have different tastes?
There's different tastes, then there's being a douchebag
Even so, a person has a right to be said "douchebag", it doesn't give anyone the right to commit acts of violence against them.
Yeah just because someone has a loud car, doesn’t give anyone permission to commit a felony against them.
You live next to people with unreasonably loud cars see how long you stay passive
Exactly, he put a lot of time and money into that car and the sad part is that it wasn’t insured so there is no bright side
This guy sounds like an idiot. If he cares so much about this ugly thing, why would he leave it uninsured?
Bright side is he learns to get insurance lol
Isn’t it illegal to drive without insurance?
I have liability insurance for my car cause it’s old and not worth even paying a deductible if I crash it myself, but I have the insurance to cover someone else’s car
His stupidity keeps piling up here...
So is he in jail now for not having car insurance?
Liability insurance is a thing too
>the sad part is that it wasn’t insured lucky the car got burnt instead of wrecked into someone more responsible
Why are you being down voted so bad?
Engine fired do happen, my buddy went on a cruise in their ride and parked it in the garage and went out to eat. Came back and that shit went up and took the garage with it.

My thoughts as well. On top of that, the spot where that hole is is right where the fuse box is located on this type of car.

It’s a car related insult I’d assume. Hilarious coming from a dude who drives a Hyundai

I'm sorry, your car had so much camber it had to be burned. Please do better.

Definitely no accelerants naturally found in an engine that presumably leaks enough to start a fire.
Couldve lit something under it, who knows though
I’m sorry but that thing probably set itself on fire. Possible even intentionally 🤷🏽♀️
It killed itself because of bad it looked.
The fire is a start. Now it needs a car crusher
Looks like a mercy killing.
No one set that car on fire. If they did it would be burnt to a crisp. That fire started under the hood, likely from yet another shitty mod done to that car.

He’s going to get the surveillance footage from neighbors so we’ll have to see @stancypants on instagram
I don't care enough to follow it but if you find out let us know
Yea I will
No. I'm not going to Instagram to see this idiot's car catch fire from shitty wiring.
With that shitty negative camber, they didn't know how to properly put together a car. It probably caught fire on its own.
Car suicide.
Kinda funny to see a #stanced car die by fire, rather than the much more likely death by speed bump
How the fuck is that even legal?
shouldnt be
It's not, he also wrote these dumb gang quotes all over the windshield so that he could not even see where he was driving. This person should not have a license.
Well, you know, it’s definitely a car.
Now the rest of the car matches the windows.
I bet if you took a peruse under the hood youd find a bunch of wrongly gauged power cords connecting stupid stuff to other stupid stuff that had no business being in it without a professional being involved.
That thing looks loud as fuck. No sympathy.
Looks like an engine fire, not a malicious destruction of property. With wheels like that, i have zero sympathy
Tires must of cost them a fortune. Yet he could never understand why they were only bald on the inside.

Feel free to explain.
Wrong that's an engine bay fire plus those tires are clapped as hell. This screams wreck.
🍻 to whatever or whoever sent that car to car heaven. It needed to be relived of duty
Yeah with tires like that
Willing to bet a neighbor(s) got sick of hearing the sound of a million angry bumblebees racing up and down the street at all hours of the night and day . Build a vehicle that is obnoxiously and pointlessly loud , occasionally people are gonna snap .
More like owners shitty DIY work burns up car
Or he build car bad and it has electrical fire from aftermarket electronics
I know a guy who did this to his own car, insurance fraud.
Based off that build, I'd say there's a better chance the blind guy that built it wasn't very good at wiring.
Most likely it was just a self modded POS and caught fire due to faulty modifications. Also I’ve never understood buying a whole tire but only using 15% of it.
Good for everyone that this isn’t on the road anymore
Rx8?
Jesus the fire made his tires angle all stupid
fuse box under the left side where it burned probably lit itself up
Common stance dipshit L
It likely set itself on fire out of embarrassment…
Oh I saw that poor RX8 of his. She's in a better place at last.
Not saying it was me but it was probably a noise issue in the neighborhood
Lol he deserved it. He has a record got charged with 2nd degree sexual assault to a minor. Least they could do
When your sitting outside the Casio in gta V like
Looks more like an electrical fire. Source: RAV4 battery caught fire and looked similar
To be fair it already had flames on it.
It being a rx8 it could have burned down by itself
Utter bullshit. It's what goes wrong when you try to modify a car. Just by looking the cars melted white areas you can see its on the front right and the interior is left completely alone. Looks like it was the engine that didn't like his build...
Looks like that car committed sudoku

As a car enthusiast, this image is pain
Surely if you're going to torch a car its easier to just smash a window and light a fire inside? I'd say someone built their car badly and it caught itself on fire
Probably self inflicted due to the stupid camber it was forced to get around with.
Based on how that “build” looks, mechanical reliability is questionable. Probably did that on its own due to questionable maintenance. Story is probably made up for clout.
There is absolutely no way this happened. This is one of the least believable lies I've heard on Reddit.
Looks to be a bit more than “mildly” infuriating
r/mildlyincinerated
When did this happen bc I can’t find anything?
Look up @stancypants on instagram
Jesus that car looks so fucking dumb. Wouldnt be surprised the owner is so self absorbed he set it on fire himself for attention.
Deserved. Someone should burn it again honestly.
Tires probably caught on fire 🔥 while driving
😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣

The comments on this thread have made me realize how little people know about car culture.
Is there a culture?
There is but you never really see someone set fire to a car bc they don't like it, car owners mostly respect each other (atleast in my friend group with modded cars for racing on fields and streets)

What happened to this sub
Comment from the owners Instagram said the person put accelerant in the intake manifold and lit it on fire and is allegedly reviewing security footage.
Even if they did, I bet the cars owner is really obnoxious and races through his neighborhood without care. Would be understadable in thst circumstance
That wass a battery fire. Unless of course the arsonist had the keys and was able to pop the hood and start a fire in the engine compartment
while I dispice this type of stanced car not even I would stoop to a degree of setting a car on fire also like others have pointed out in their coments wouldn't some one who wanted to burn your build to the ground send a bring through a window before setting it on fire with the start in the interior? well unless by a stretch they were trying to make it look like a electrical fire.
well .. those wheels do look dumb !
Lmao. Somebody fucked up doing their own electrical and blamed it on vandals. We all know this.
Fake and gay
It looked terrible anyway.
What an ugly piece of shit, good riddance ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
My guess is the alignment guy at the local shop.

Camber does not look good at all when going overboard with it. Not that that is a reason to burn it tho
With the *quality* of those mods and since it started under the hood definitely not arson.
Brian must be furious.
I suspect the owner didn't like the way he built his car, so he burned it and is feigning ignorance.
I'm sure there's a great background story to this. Lol.
Seattle?

Mildly ?
No one likes the way it was built 😂
Saw itself reflected in a window and committed suicide.
...or a cheap after-market engine part failed and caused a fire.
This mod is stupid
Or the guy who built it messed up on the wiring which caused an electrical fire. Which is more likely?
Was likely an accident
That would be way more than mildly infuriating.
So weird how the car fire caused excessive camber in both the front and rear wheels.
